Abstract

Introduction: One of the important areas of research is evaluating the effectiveness of the Health Information System Application (ASIK) for immunization activities in Makassar City. This study applied the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to assess the level of acceptance of the ASIK application in immunization services. The objective of this study was to analyze the effect of perceived usefulness on use behavior, or actual usage, of the ASIK application in immunization activities in Makassar City. A quantitative analytical study with a cross-sectional design was conducted. The study population consisted of 61 immunization officers who used the ASIK application during immunization activities in Makassar City throughout the study period. All eligible immunization officers were included as research participants using a purposive sampling technique based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in a total sample of 61 respondents. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test with SPSS software to examine the association between variables. The results showed that perceived usefulness of the ASIK application was predominantly positive (95.1%), and use behavior or actual usage of the application was also categorized as positive (96.7%). However, the chi-square analysis indicated no significant association between perceived usefulness and use behavior of the ASIK immunization application (p = 0.903). In conclusion, perceived usefulness did not significantly influence the actual usage behavior of the ASIK application in immunization activities in Makassar City.

Abstract

Introduction: Postpartum depression is a common emotional disorder that may adversely affect maternal well-being and child development. This study aimed to examine the relationship between social support and maternal characteristics and the likelihood of postpartum depression among mothers in the Batu Putih Community Health Center service area in 2025. A cross-sectional quantitative design was employed. The study participants were postpartum mothers residing in the Batu Putih Community Health Center service area. The independent variables included maternal age and the type of social support provided by husbands. The results showed no significant association between maternal age and the likelihood of postpartum depression (p > 0.05). In contrast, a significant association was found between husbands’ social support and the likelihood of postpartum depression (p < 0.05), with higher levels of support associated with a lower likelihood of postpartum depression. These findings indicate that social support, particularly from husbands, is a key factor influencing the likelihood of postpartum depression. Therefore, strengthening husbands’ involvement in preventive and promotive efforts is essential to reduce the risk of emotional disorders among postpartum mothers.

Abstract

Introduction: Mental health is an important aspect for men in same sex Relationship population in facing complex psychosocial challenges, including trauma, stigma, and discrimination. Social support is believed to play a protective role in reducing anxiety. And the lack of support from family, friends, and staff compared to Peer Support Groups (PSG) may be caused by the lack of openness of PLHIV regarding HIV status. Many PLHIV choose not to disclose their condition to family or friends because of concerns about stigma and discrimination that are still strong in the family and community environment. Fear of rejection, or different treatment, makes PLHIV tend to close themselves and seek support from PSGs who are considered to have a better understanding of PLHIV's condition. In PSGs, PLHIV feel more accepted, understood, and not judged, so emotional support and motivation are easier to obtain than from families who may not be openly accepting. This study aims to analyze the relationship between peer support groups and anxiety disorders in men in same sex Relationship population in Bulukumba Regency. Quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. The researchsample was taken using an accidental sampling technique from the men in same sex Relationship population. Showed that peer support groups (PSGs) were proven to have a significant relationship with anxiety, p = 0.001, and were the most relevant factors in increasing anxiety in the men in same sex Relationship population. This study is that PSGs have a central role in supporting anxiety in men in same sex Relationship risk populations. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening peer support group programs through counseling, education, and emotional support to reduce anxiety, depression, and the impact of social stigma.

Abstract

Background: This Study aimed to evaluate the effect of educational video interventions on improving pregnant women's knowledge regerding exclusive breastfeeding using two comparison groups. although digital learning media have become widely implemented in maternal health promotion, passive video delivery often limits comprehension and learning retention. intergrating interaction within digital education may enhance understanding by enabling clarification and strengthening information processing. A quasi- xperimental pretest-posttest design was conducted involving 34 pregnant women divided into two groups: an intervantion group receiving educational video with interactive discussion (n=17) and a comparison group receiving the same video without interaction (n=17). knowlegde was measured before and after the intervention and analyzed using the wilcoxon signed rank test and Mann- whitney U test. result showed that both groups experienced increases in posttest knowledge scores; however, improvement was greater in the interaction group. The Wilcoxon analysis demonstrated significant knowledge gains in the interactive group ( Z =-3.643 ; p = 0.000). Meanwhile, Mann-Whitney analysis indicated that the knowledge improvement between the two groups was significantly different, favoring the interaction approach. These findings demonstrate thet educational videos accompanied by interaction are more effective in improving maternal knowledge compared to passive video delivery. Strengthening interaction-based digital health education is recommended to support maternal and child health programs.
