Abstract

This article examines the effect of implementing Islamic Religious Education (PAI) academic supervision on the performance of PAI teachers in junior high schools (SMP). This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method in two junior high schools in Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan Province. The research data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and analyzed using the Kirkpatrick evaluation model. The results showed that PAI academic supervision in junior high schools is still not optimal because various factors, such as competence, motivation, work environment, and facilities, influence it. However, PAI academic supervision also positively impacts the performance of PAI teachers in junior high schools, such as improving the quality of learning, developing student potential, and job satisfaction. This article provides recommendations for PAI supervisors, principals, PAI teachers, and other relevant parties in improving PAI academic supervision in junior high schools, as well as a reference for future research related to the same or similar topics.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effects of liquidity and activity on profitability, with capital structure as an intervening variable. Liquidity and activity are proxied by the Current Ratio and Total Asset Turnover, respectively, while profitability is measured by Return on Assets, and capital structure is represented by the Debt to Equity Rasio. This study employs a quantitative research approach. The population consists of cigarette sub-sector companies that are officially registered and listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018 to 2023. The study adopts a full sampling method, in which all members of the population serve as the research sample, comprising five cigarette sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2018–2023 period. Data analysis was conducted using the Panel Data Regression Model with the assistance of the EViews 12 software. The results of the study indicate that liquidity and capital structure have a negative effect on profitability, while activity has a positive effect on profitability. In addition, both liquidity and activity negatively affect capital structure as the intervening variable. Furthermore, capital structure is found to mediate the effects of liquidity and activity on profitability. The findings reveal that liquidity and capital structure have a significant negative effect on profitability, while activity has a significant positive effect, and capital structure effectively mediates the relationship between liquidity, activity, and profitability

Abstract

This study discusses the decentralization of Education, which at first was fully controlled by the central Government. With the decentralization of Education, local governments have the authority to regulate and control Education in their regions in an effort to improve the quality of Education. It has been 23 years since this Regional Autonomy has been present in the country with various packages carried out by the Government for Education in particular. That long time will actually make Indonesian education quality, both in terms of input, process and results. However, it creates new problems in the regions, for example: the existence of regional heads numbering two / three / so on Education, so that the meaning of Autonomy in the field of Education is not evenly distributed in the regions they lead. Whereas the mandate of the 1945 Constitution is clear, that Education is a right for all Indonesian people whose aim is to educate the nation's life, another meaning is that Education will make a person qualified, both religiously, morally and socially. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of literature study. Data collected from various journal articles and books that are in accordance with the research topic through content analysis. This type of research is a qualitative research. The results of this study show that the decentralization of Education is actually fully implemented by the local Government, so that the impact can be felt by the school community in an effort to improve the quality of Education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of learning agility and work environment on employee performance with digital competence as a mediating variable, among employees of the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP). This research is motivated by the importance of adaptive capabilities and mastery of digital technology in supporting employee performance in the era of digital transformation. The research method uses a quantitative approach with Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis technique. The sample for this study consisted of 102 employees at the National Public Procurement Agency, selected through random sampling. The research instrument used a Likert scale questionnaire with four main variables. The results show that learning agility has a significant influence on digital competence and employee performance. Although digital competence does not have a direct significant influence on performance, this variable acts as a partial mediator. Meanwhile, the work environment does not show a significant influence on either digital competence or employee performance. These findings provide important implications for public sector employee development efforts focused on increasing agility and digital literacy to support the success of digital transformation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of product quality and buying interest on marketing performance mediated by purchasing decisions in MSMEs 4.0 in the food processing sector in Sidoarjo. An explanatory quantitative approach was used with a cross-sectional design, involving 296 respondents selected through proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire (1–5) adapted from standardized instruments, then analyzed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS 4.0. The results showed that product quality had a positive and significant effect on purchase interest and purchase decisions, while buying interest was proven to be a partial mediating variable between product quality and purchase decision. Purchasing decisions directly affect the marketing performance of MSMEs. Predictive analysis through PLSpredict confirms that the model has high predictive relevance to consumer behavior in the digital marketing era. These findings confirm that strengthening product quality, followed by a digital marketing strategy based on consumer interaction, is an important determinant in increasing the competitiveness and sustainability of MSMEs 4.0 in the processed food sector. This research contributes to the empirical literature on technology-based marketing and provides strategic recommendations for the development of MSMEs in the digital economy era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of macro and micro fundamental factors on the financial performance and value of non-financial SOEs in Indonesia using panel data for the 2017–2022 period. The results of the estimation show that micro fundamental factors have a significant role in improving financial performance and company value, while macro fundamental factors do not have a significant influence on these two variables. These findings confirm that internal company dynamics such as operational efficiency, capital structure, and profitability capacity are more decisive than external macroeconomic conditions. This study also found that financial performance does not have a significant effect on company value and does not mediate the relationship between macro and micro fundamentals on the value of SOEs. These conditions indicate that the capital market assesses SOEs through a broader perspective, including institutional reputation, governance, long-term stability, and government support. These results make an important contribution to the public financial management literature and confirm the differences in market behavior towards SOEs compared to private companies. In addition, the findings of the study provide strategic implications for SOE management to strengthen internal capabilities and improve the quality of information disclosure to be more in line with investor expectations and market dynamics.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Return on Equity (ROE), Equity Ratio (ER), and Asset Turnover Ratio (ATR) on Net Profit Margin (NPM) among telecommunication companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2018–2022. Employing a quantitative approach with panel data regression using the Random Effects Model and secondary data from company annual reports, the findings indicate that ROE exerts a positive but relatively weak influence on NPM, while ER demonstrates a positive relationship approaching significance. Conversely, ATR shows a significant negative effect, underscoring that asset efficiency contributes less to profitability in the capital-intensive telecommunications sector. The model achieves an adjusted R² of 0.874, suggesting strong explanatory power. Overall, the results emphasize that managerial strategies should prioritize optimizing equity utilization and maintaining a robust capital structure rather than relying on asset turnover efficiency. Despite being limited to five firms and secondary data, this research enriches sector-specific financial performance analysis and provides valuable insights for managers and policymakers. Future studies are encouraged to extend the model by incorporating factors such as technological innovation, market competition, and regulatory dynamics to capture a more comprehensive understanding of profitability determinants in the industry.

Abstract

The modern retail industry in Depok City is experiencing major challenges driven by shifting consumer behavior, rapid technological change, and the lasting effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. This study examines how Transformational Leadership (TL) and Perceived Organizational Support (POS) influence Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), with Leader–Member Exchange (LMX) as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative survey of modern retail employees in Depok, the findings reveal that TL positively affects OCB, while POS influences OCB indirectly through LMX. These results highlight the importance of effective leadership and perceived support in fostering employees’ extra-role behavior within Indonesia’s retail sector. The study contributes practical insights for improving employee engagement and productivity in a post-pandemic retail environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of distributive justice and procedural justice on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) with perceived organizational support (POS) as a moderator variable in private school teachers in Gunung Putri District, Bogor Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method of 229 respondents, which was analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) through SmartPLS 4. The results of the study show that distributive justice, procedural justice, and POS have a significant positive effect on OCB. Among the variables of organizational justice, procedural justice has the most dominant influence. Furthermore, POS has been proven to moderate the relationship between procedural justice and OCB, but it is not significant in moderating the relationship between distributive justice and OCB. These findings confirm that organizational support plays an important role in strengthening teachers' perceptions of procedural fairness, thereby encouraging them to behave beyond their formal roles. The novelty of this study lies in the placement of POS as a moderator variable in the relationship between organizational justice and OCB, especially in the private education sector in Indonesia, which has received less attention in the literature. Theoretically, this study expands the understanding of the conditional factors that affect OCB. Practically, the results provide direction for private school managers to create a fair and supportive organizational climate to increase the positive contribution of teachers.
