Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the learning model in vocational high schools in Indonesia, which is usually face-to-face and has been turned into online learning. This learning uses e-learning with several models such as synchronous learning and asynchronous learning drastically without proper preparation. This creates problems in achieving learning outcomes because of many inhibiting factors. This research aims to investigate the readiness of e-learning implemented in vocational high schools during the post COVID-19 pandemic. The method used is the Aydin & Tasci ELR model for measuring the level of e-learning readiness. The results of this research investigation found that the e-learning readiness score was 4.15, which means that vocational high schools in Indonesia are ready to implement e-learning but still need a slight improvement in several factors. These factors are human resources, organization, technology, and infrastructure. This research concludes that vocational high schools in Indonesia are ready to implement e-learning as a supporter of learning in schools.

Abstract

Project-based education has become an increasingly popular approach in today's education system, especially at the primary school level. Project-based learning allows students to engage in real activities that involve exploring, collaborating, and applying the concepts they learn in real-life contexts. In the digital era that continues to grow, m-Learning (learning via mobile devices) has become an important instrument in helping educators implement project-based learning models in elementary schools. This study aims to investigate the role of m-Learning in a project-based learning model in elementary schools. This study will involve collecting qualitative and quantitative data through classroom observations, teacher interviews, and student surveys. The research focus will cover several important aspects, including (1) The use of m-Learning in providing relevant and varied learning resources to students, (2) The effectiveness of m-Learning in increasing student motivation and involvement in project-based learning models, ( 3) The impact of m-Learning on students' collaborative skills and creativity in developing their projects, (4) Teachers' perceptions of the use of m-Learning in project-based learning models. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide a better understanding of the role of m-Learning in the context of project-based learning in elementary schools. The findings of this study can provide insight to educators, teachers, and decision-makers in the field of education to optimize the use of technology in an effort to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools.

This study aims to determine the implementation of the teaching supervision work program, and the obstacles faced by school principals in the implementation of teaching supervision. In order to achieve the research objectives, the researchers used a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out in several ways, namely interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis methods used are data reduction, visualization and verification. The subjects of this study were principals, vice principals and teachers. After carrying out the research steps, it was found that the results of the study showed that: (1) The principal teaching supervision work program for Vocational High Schools in South Minahasa already had a standardized design for the next one year period and was planned to be reformulated next year; (2) The implementation of teaching supervision applied by the head of SMK in South Minahasa is carried out with two approaches, namely the indirect and direct approach; and (3) Obstacles faced by school principals in implementing teaching supervision include: (a) The principal has very little implementation time so that the implementation of supervision is difficult to schedule, (b) teaching supervision techniques, focusing more on the psychological aspects of teachers and other factors. This greatly determines the course of the implementation of the teaching supervision program, and (c) the behavior of teachers when supervising teaching is carried out, the conditions of the teachers are very heterogeneous and highly dependent on the techniques used by the principal.
