Abstract

Kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika sering dianggap murni kesalahan siswa itu sendiri, padahal bisa saja kesalahan tersebut dikarenakan gaya mengajar guru yang kurang dipahami siswa. Dengan menganalisis jenis-jenis kesalahan siswa serta mengetahui letak-letak kesalahan siswa, akan menjadi suatu evaluasi bagi guru untuk memperbaiki cara mengajarnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan; (1) jenis kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal teorema Pythagoras dan lingkaran, (2) penyebab kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal teorema Pythagoras dan lingkaran, dan (3) solusi untuk meminimalkan kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal teorema Pythagoras dan lingkaran. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian adalah 10 siswa dari SMP Bukit Raya Pekanbaru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; (1) terdapat 4 jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa yaitu kesalahan konsep sebesar 20%, kesalahan fakta sebesar 5%, kesalahan prinsip sebesar 6%, dan kesalahan operasi sebesar 11%; (2) penyebab kesalahan siswa yaitu kurang memahami materi prasyarat untuk materi teorema Pythagoras dan lingkaran, kurang teliti dalam menyelesaikan soal, kurang memahami bahasa soal, dan materi sering diberikan guru tanpa dikaitkan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari; (3) solusi untuk meminimalkan kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal yaitu memberikan pemahaman mengenai konsep penyederhanaan bentuk akar sebelum mempelajari materi teorema Pythagoras dan konsep garis dan sudut sebelum mempelajari materi lingkaran, mengadakan kompetisi ringan di dalam kelas untuk memotivasi siswa agar selalu teliti dalam menyelesaikan soal, dan sering menggunakan media atau alat peraga sederhana yang dapat disimulasikan di dalam kelas. Kata Kunci:  Analisis Kesalahan, Teorema Pythagoras, Lingkaran

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is importance of teaching materials that inroduced regional culture in learning process as an effort to preserve culture. This research aims to produce a design of mathematics teaching materials that introduce regional culture to students by introducing the Riau Malay Batik Motive. This research is the beginning part of the development of mathematics teaching by using the ADDIE model that consists of Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation, and Evaluation. Abstract

Abstract: This research was based on the limited learning instrument of mathematic as a mean of supporting learning on the Curiculum 2013. This research aims to develop the mathematics learning instruments which includes Lesson Plan (LP) and Student Worksheet (SW) based on discovery learning of arithmetic for Junior High School. The development research procedure is carried out with reference to the 4-D model developed by Thiagarajan. This research is done through the stage of define to develop due to limitation on the researcher. Learning instrument that have been developed and then validated by four validators consisting of two lectures of mathematics education and two mathematics teacher. Learning instrument have been validated and then revised based on the suggestion of the validators. Researcher did two tested that are small group tested and large group tested. Researcher did the small scale experiment for 10 students of SMPN. 13 Pekanbaru to determine the validity level of six SW. Researcher also did the large group tested to 38 students of VII.10 SMPN 13 Pekanbaru to applying the LP and SW and getting the respond from students. Based on data analys of validation and respsond from students it can be conclude in form of LP for social arithmetic is valid with percentage of average is 91.97% and learning instruments in form of SW is very valid with percentage of average is 89.40%. Based on the result of small scale experiment to six SW be obtained that the six SW had been developed already qualified practicality with percentage is 94.17%. Result of large scale experiment for SW-1 is 95.70% and to sufficient of practicality criterion.Key word : Reseach of Development, Lesson Plan (LP), Student Worksheet (SW), Discovery Learning.

Abstract

The low mathematical problem solving ability of students is seen from the results of the national exam on mathematics subjects, namely 43.34%. This study aims to describe the ability to solve mathematical problems based on policy theory which consists of 4 stages (1) understanding, (2) planning, (3) solving, and (4) checking. The subjects studied were 30 students of VIII class. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques with test and interview methods Instrument-used 3 questions which are mathematical problems related to the surface area and volume of building flat side space. The results of this study indicate that students who have the ability (1) are very good, often forget to write what is known and what is asked, (2) at a good level, students have difficulty understanding and making a mathematical model of the problem editor, (3 ) at a low level, students make mistakes in calculating, (4) At a very poor level, students have difficulty understanding and making mathematical models and their solutions. It is expected to the teacher to give emphasis on understanding the concept of flat and wake up flat side space when the learning process takes place and associate it in everyday life, because most students have difficulty in understanding and making mathematical models of the editorial questions given.

Abstract: The teacher competence test is a test which is conducted to observe the competence mastery of a teacher. That mastery will be used as the basic consideration on training program and developing the professional teacher. The score of competence test of high school mathematics teacher in Riau province was 41,34, meanwhile the score of expected standard is 70. One of the factors which caused the low score was the teacher having lack of training about the problem of teacher competency test. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve the learning process and learning outcomes math class VII A Hubbulwathan MTs Duri by applying Cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type. The subjects were students of class VII A with heterogen academic ability. This research is a class action with two cycles. Each cycle has four steps, the steps are the planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Results showed activity sheets and teacher observation of students have done well after taking action. There is an improvement in the students learning process and an increase in the number of students who achieved at UH minimum completeness criteria end of each cycle compared to the number of students who achieve minimum completeness criteria on base score. The results of this study indicate that the application of cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) can improve the process of learning and improving mathematics learning outcomes of VII A Student in the MTS Hubbulwathan Duri on first semester of academic year 2013/2014. Key words: Mathematics Learning Outcomes, Cooperative Learning, Numbered Head Together (NHT), Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is the low students’ mathematics test result that is below the minimum criteria of mastery learning (KKM) which percentase 32% on Algebra. This research is a classroom action research which aims to improve the learning process activity and the students’ achievements by applying the cooperative learning STAD method. The subjects of this research was the first semester of VIIIA grade students of SMP Islam Kepenuhan which consist of 10 male and 15 female students. The teacher and students’ activity observation sheets and mathematics test sheets were the instruments used in this research. The observation sheets was analyzed qualitatively to see the improvement of the learning process activity. The mathematics test results were analyzed quantitatively. To see the improvement of the mathematics learning achievement. Based on the analysis, there was improvement in the learning process activity from the beginning of the first cycle until the end of the second cycle. Furthermore, the analysis of the mathematics test results showed the increasing of the number of students who achieve the Standard Criteria Minimum with percentage 40% in the first test and 56% in the second test respectively. That there is improvement of the students’ basic score from the first test to the second test. In conclusion, the application of STAD method can improve the students’ learning process activity and the students’ mathematics test results in the first semester VIIIA grade students of SMP Islam Kepenuhan in academic year 2017/2018.Key Word: Students Math Achievement, Cooperative Learning, Student Team Achievement Division Types, Clasroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to develop mathematics with computer-based learning media model tutorial interactive model for SMA grade XI subject probability. This research and development use development model ADDIE. Development is done through the following steps: (1) analysis; (2) design; (3) development; (4) implementation and evaluation. At the stage of analysis, the researcher conducted a needs analysis included Core Competence (CC) - Basic Competence (BC) analysis, problems of students analysis, and materials analysis. Then, researcher collect materials to design learning media. Learning media that had been developed validated by five validators and revised based on the input from validators. Validation of media appraise aspects of curiculum, learning, display, program. The valid learning media then tested in two stages, the small group test with subjects are five students of class XI MIPA SMA Babussalam Pekanbaru and large group test with subjects are 30 students of class XI MIPA SMA Babussalam Pekanbaru. Based on the data analysis and discussion can be concluded that the mathematics learning media based computer tutorial interactive model for SMA grade XI subject probability are valid, and obtain good responses from students class XI.Keywords: Computer-based Learning Media, Research and Development, Probability

Abstract

Abstract: This-research aims to-develop interactive multimedia using a-problem based learning design on coordinate system topic for 8th grade students. The background of this research was development of information and communications technologies which have made some impact on the practice of education and that limited teacher preparation for the use of ICT in teaching/learning process. The research was conducted to provide learning media that can be directly use in Problem Based Learning (PBL). This research used ADDIE development model by Dick-and Carry. Development is done through the following steps:-(1)-Analyze; created a-need analysis, identified problem (needs)-of-the-students;-(2)-Design; drew a-storyboard which presented the contents of the display of interactive multimedia, prepared everything that will be required among the creation of the media;-(3)-Development; made the media on the computer based on the storyboard that has been design;-(4) Implementation and Evaluation; tested the learning media and analysis the result. The research instrument used is validation sheet to assess the validity requirement of learning media and practicality instrument which is in the form of questionnaire of student response toward learning media implementation. The learning media validated by three-validators, then practicality test was-conducted in MTs-Darul-Hikmah Pekanbaru which is tested in a small-group and large-group. Based on the data analysis, the-result showed that interactive multimedia using a-problem-based-learning design on coordinate-system topic belong to the category of very-valid with an-average value is 3.89 and also could be used very well as learning media for 8th grade-students. Recommendation-for-further research is to test the media in learning process to observe the-effect-of-this-learning-media-to-increase-student’s-score-(learning-outcomes).Key Words : Interactive Multimedia, Development, Coordinate System

Abstract

This research aims to develop the learning instruments such as syllabus, Lesson Plans (LP) and Student Worksheets (SW) based on 2013 Curriculum with the model of Problem Based Learning to develop student’s mathematical problem solving ability on curved sides space objects for 9th grade students of Junior High School. The procedure of research development was done based on 4-D model developed by Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel. This research was conducted from define step to develop step due to the lack of time and cost. The learning instrumen compiled was validated by three validators and revised based on the suggestions of validators. The researcher conducted two trials for a small group on 9 students of of class VIII SMP IT Al-Fityah Pekanbaru and a large group on 19 students of class VIII B Al-Fatih SMP IT Al-Fityah Pekanbaru to find out students’ responses to the use of SW. Based on the data analysis, it was be obtained that the average number of syllabus, LP, SW is 3.71, 3.62, 3.73 in a very valid category. Based on the trial result of small scale for SW, it was obtained that SW developed had fulfilled practicality requirement with an average percentage of 95.09%. The trial result of large scale obtained the average percentage of 94.67% and it had fulfilled practicality requirement.Keywords: Validity and Practicality, Research and Development, Problem Based Learning,Curved Sides Space
