Abstract

This study seeks to examine customer opinions of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) business capital finance in West Aceh Regency. This study employs a qualitative methodology utilising in-depth interviews with seven informants purposefully recruited from diverse business sectors. The results indicate that most customers have a positive perception of BSI’s financing, particularly regarding procedural ease, contract transparency, flexible installment tenors, and positive impacts on business growth. However, varied experiences were found concerning post-disbursement services. The discussion connects these findings with the Theory of Planned Behavior and prior studies, emphasizing that positive perceptions are shaped through the integration of functional, procedural, and relational dimensions. This study concludes that BSI’s financing model represents a participatory and contextual application of Islamic finance and offers strategic implications for strengthening service models based on local values.

Abstract

The principles and rules of Islamic law are essentially established to realize human welfare, maintain justice, and uphold universal humanitarian values. Islamic law is not narrow-minded and rigid, but rather flexible, adaptive, and considers the social conditions of society. The principle of "la haraj" (not burdensome) demonstrates that Islamic law exists to provide convenience, not hardship, as emphasized in the maxim "al-masyaqqah tajlib al-taysir" (difficulty brings ease). The implementation of Islamic law is also carried out in stages (tadarruj), enabling society to adapt and fully internalize its values without causing social unrest. Thus, Islamic law emphasizes a balance between the text of sharia and the needs of human life, as well as between legal certainty and the common good. All of these principles lead to achieving the primary objectives of sharia (maqasid al-shari'ah), namely, safeguarding religion, life, intellect, lineage, and property, while upholding justice as the foundation of social life.

Abstract

In the Indonesian Islamic and society context, legal pluralism and interreligious interactions have potential. However, the ongoing and legally interfaith marriage continues to create a paradox. In accordance, the study examines the legal framework of interfaith marriage within the national legal framework, the pluralism in the law, and the judicial system, where legal enforcement is judged by maqāṣid al-sharīʿah principles. With a normative legal approach, this analysis is grounded in primary statutory paradigms, Islamic codifications, secondary administrative laws, and judicial practices and doctrines. Within this context, interfaith marriage has been indicated as an illegal marriage, not legally recognized within the religious framework. Although legal pluralism historically rose to various judicial practices, in Islamic divorce law, considerable differentiation has been eliminated. In creating and maintaining a unified linear hierarchy, subordinate norms must follow the Religious Norms. From the maqāṣid perspective, this unequivocally represents the protection of the Religion, the Preservation of the Order (Siyasah Shariyyah regarding the Ashabiyyah), the Posterity (Nasal), the Soul (Ruh), and the Property (Mal). The findings of this study indicate that Indonesia's regulation of interfaith marriages illustrates the purposeful incorporation of the Islamic law goals into the state’s family law and the strengthening of legal and social order within a pluralistic context.

Abstract

This study was based on the existence of wive's divorce after knowing their husband have same-sex sexual orientation. Husband's behavior as homosexual had triggered conflict in their marriage. This normative legal study was carried out by analysing of the decision of Padang Religious Court Number 0783/Pdt.G/2017/PA.Pdg and Number 0266/Pdt.G/2018/PA.Pdg as well as other secondary legal materials such as laws and regulations, Jurisprudence and other related books. The results showed that the husband's homosexual behavior was unknown to the wife since before marriage but they found it after a long time living the marriage life. Wives found their husbands having sexual relations or the husband himself confessed his actions. Based on the legislation, the wife as a disadvantaged person might file for divorce on the grounds that the husband behaves homosexually even though the regulation could only justify by mentioning a constant dispute. In addition, it was impossible for a marriage to be built and be able to achieve its goals when the husband was not only homosexual but also bisexual. Homosexuality itself in Islamic law was part of a heinous act which was severely punished by the culprit.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of self promotion and ingratiation strategies, as well as consumer purchase intention, on the TikTok account @corporio. It also seeks to analyze the influence of these two strategies on purchase intention, both directly and indirectly. A quantitative approach was used through a survey method. Data were collected via a questionnaire distributed to 100 followers of the @corporio TikTok account and analyzed using path analysis with the help of SPSS software. The results show that the self promotion strategy does not have a significant direct influence on purchase intention. In contrast, the ingratiation strategy has a dominant direct effect. Furthermore, self promotion has an indirect effect through ingratiation, indicating greater effectiveness when combined. These findings suggest that combining self promotion and ingratiation can be an effective strategy to build trust and drive purchase decisions on social media, especially TikTok

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the Decision of the Padang Religious Court Number 379/Pdt.G/2023/PA.Pdg which rejected a wife's (plaintiff) divorce suit because the plaintiff was deemed unable to prove the existence of a legal marriage between the plaintiff and the defendant which was carried out under the hand (sirri ). The focus of this research is to find out the basis for the court's considerations in making a decision and to find out whether the decision fulfills a sense of justice for the plaintiff. Researchers use qualitative analysis methods using a normative juridical approach. The results of the research show that the court's most basic consideration in deciding this case was that the marriage of the plaintiff and defendant did not meet the harmony and requirements of marriage in Islam. Even though the marriage was carried out by a marriage guardian, the plaintiff's marriage guardian was not a legal guardian, so the court was of the opinion that the request for legalization of the marriage between the plaintiff and the defendant was not proven, so the plaintiff's divorce claim was rejected because there is no divorce without marriage. After conducting research, decision number 379/Pdt.G/2023/PA.Pdg was deemed not to provide justice and a solution to the chaos in the plaintiff and defendant's household, at least felt by the plaintiff as a wife. The plaintiff was unable to get out of a marriage which he considered to be a broken marriage because the marriage conditions were not met, while the plaintiff and the defendant had actually been together like husband and wife for 15 years without being questioned by anyone else and had also been blessed with two children.

Abstract

Abstract

The Behavioral Activation for Depression Scale – Short Form (BADS-SF) is a brief instrument designed to measure activation levels in individuals undergoing behavioral activation (BA) therapy for depression. With the broad potential for implementing BA therapy, including in Indonesia, the BADS-SF needs to be cross-culturally adapted. While the original validation study supported a two-factor model, subsequent adaptations, particularly in non-Western settings, have yielded inconsistent results. In addition, given the practical application of the BADS-SF total score as an overall indicator of behavioral activation, it is essential to evaluate its psychometric properties as a unidimensional measure. The objectives of this study are: (1) to culturally adapt the BADS-SF into the Indonesian language (Bahasa Indonesia); (2) to examine its underlying factor structure and convergent validity; and (3) to evaluate its psychometric properties using item response theory (IRT), specifically Rasch modeling. The cultural adaptation process demonstrated good content validity based on Aiken’s V (.75 to 1 for all items) and confirmed the scale readability. The confrmatory factor analysis (CFA) results revealed a different factor structure than the original, with a 6-item one-factor model providing the best fit and confirmed convergent validity. Rasch analysis further showed that the Indonesian version of BADS-SF had good psychometric properties, including excellent item reliability, acceptable person reliability, and supported unidimensionality following the exclusion of a misfitting item (Item 8). Based on the overall results, the 6-item version of BADS-SF Bahasa Indonesia is recommended to be used for both research and clinical practice. Further implications of the findings are discussed.
