Abstract

This community service program aims to develop and implement a boarding school parenting model based on ulul ilmi values to support university students’ mental health and contribute to quality education. The program was carried out using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach involving 150 students living in a university dormitory. The stages of implementation included needs assessment, participatory workshops, guided religious activities such as congregational prayer, dhikr, and Qur’an recitation, as well as reflective evaluation. The results of the program indicate positive changes in students’ mental well-being, reflected in improved emotional stability, discipline, self-confidence, and academic engagement. The integration of spiritual values functioned as an effective coping mechanism in helping students manage academic and social pressures. Overall, the ulul ilmi character-based parenting model, which synergizes spiritual, intellectual, and socio-moral dimensions, contributes to the creation of a supportive academic ecosystem for mentally resilient students. This program has practical implications for the development of a prototype of ulul ilmi character-based boarding school parenting modules.

Abstract

The quality of tuber crops frequently deteriorates as a result of post-harvest fungal contamination. Fungal contamination of potatoes, sweet potatoes, and taro tubers during post-harvest handling and storage can significantly reduce their economic value and pose potential health risks through the production of mycotoxins. This study aimed to evaluate the post-harvest shelf life of potato, sweet potato, and taro tubers and to identify the fungal species contaminating these commodities. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed using the scratch plate isolation method. Fungal contaminants were characterized based on macroscopic colony morphology and microscopic features. The research procedures included sample preparation, assessment of physical quality changes during storage, fungal isolation, and identification. The results demonstrated that taro tubers maintained the highest physical quality after 14 days of storage, whereas potato tubers exhibited the most pronounced physical deterioration and the highest incidence of fungal contamination. A total of eight fungal isolates with distinct macroscopic and microscopic characteristics were obtained, designated as T1SP1, T1SP2, U1SP1, U1SP2, T2SP1, T2SP2, T3SP1, and T3SP2. These isolates were identified as belonging to the genera Aspergillus, Trichoderma, Colletotrichum, and Curvularia.

Abstract

Scholarships are the provision of assistance in the form of financial assistance provided to individuals with the aim of being used for the sustainability of the education achieved. The problem that occurs in this research is that the process of determining which is still carried out conventionally the student section must check one by one the scholarship application files submitted by students because each data will be compared one by one according to predetermined criteria, which results in the student section becoming difficult in the decision so that It takes a long time, therefore we need a decision support system that can help schools make decisions about scholarship recipients. The Naive Bayes Classifier method is a method that can be used in decision making to get better results on a classification problem. The purpose of this study is to build a scholarship recipient decision support system using the Naïve Bayes Classifier method. In this study, a problem analysis was carried out using PIECES analysis and for the system development method using. The result of this research is that applying the naïve Bayes method to the scholarship recipient's decision support system can assist the school in determining the scholarship recipient more quickly and accurately. The scholarship recipient's decision support system was built using the Java programming language and MySQL database. Keyword: Decision Support Systems, Naïve Bayes Classifier, Waterfall, Blackbox Testing, PIECES

Abstract

Introduction: Stroke survivors in low-resource settings often rely on family caregivers to provide essential daily care after hospital discharge. However, many caregivers lack the necessary knowledge, skills, and confidence to perform safe and effective home-based care. Virtual Reality (VR) offers an immersive, interactive, and practical training method that may enhance caregiver preparedness and is associated with improved patient outcomes during post-stroke recovery. This study evaluated the effectiveness of a VR-based caregiver training program on functional, psychological, physiological, and cognitive outcomes among stroke survivors. Methods: A quasi-experimental pre–post design was conducted with 60 caregiver–patient pairs recruited from a community health center in South Sumatra. Participants were assigned to either a VR-based training group or a control group receiving standard discharge education. The intervention consisted of five immersive VR modules simulating stroke-care scenarios, including hygiene, feeding, transfer techniques, positioning, suctioning, and range of motion exercises. Outcome measures included systolic blood pressure, functional independence (Barthel Index), anxiety and depression (HADS), and cognitive status (MoCA). Results: Patients whose caregivers received VR-based training demonstrated significant improvements in patient outcomes compared with the control group. The intervention group showed greater reductions in systolic blood pressure (p = 0.021), increased functional independence (p = 0.041), reduced anxiety (p = 0.017) and depression (p = 0.011), and enhanced cognitive function (p = 0.032). Effect sizes ranged from moderate to large, indicating clinically meaningful improvements. Conclusion: VR-based caregiver training is a feasible, low-cost, and effective strategy associated with improved patient outcomes following caregiver training. Its immersive design provides experiential learning that may support caregiving activities in community health settings with limited resources.

At PT Indofood CBP, Sukses Makmur Tbk (2017-2024) has experienced an increase and decrease in financial performance every year. This shows that the Company's financial performance is influenced by various factors in this study, these factors include profitability, liquidity and solvency. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether there is a simultaneous influence between the profitability ratio, liquidity ratio and solvency ratio to Financial Performance at PT. Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk in 2017-2024 and the purpose of this study is to determine the simultaneous influence between profitability ratio, liquidity ratio and solvency ratio on Financial Performance at PT. Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk in 2017-2024. The discussion in this study is related to the field of financial accounting science, in this case the approach taken is theories related to financial accounting, especially in financial performance, where later it will be discussed about the profitability ratio, liquidity ratio and solvency ratio contained in the company and its influence on financial performance. This type of research is quantitative with normality test analysis, descriptive test, classical assumption test (using multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and autocorrelation test), multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis test (using t test and f test), R2 determination coefficient. To obtain the results of the researcher using the SPSS application version 26, the data used in this study used secondary data obtained from www.idx.co.id with the number of samples used as many as 32 samples at PT Indofood CBP sukses makmur Tbk (2017-2024). The reaseach result show that there is no effect of profitability ratios and likuidity ratios on the financial performance of PT indofood CBP sukses Makmur tbk, there is an effect of solvency ratios on the financial performance of PT indofood CBP sukses Makmur Tbk and there is a simultaneous effect of profitability ratios, likuidity ratios and solvency ratios on the financial performance of PT indofood CBP sukses Makmur Tbk.

Abstract

This study evaluated the efficacy of a natural hand sanitizer derived from pineapple core extract as an alternative to alcohol-based agents for reducing bacterial contamination and infection risk during diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) care. Using a true experimental design, the researchers conducted microbiological assessments of 16 nurse hand swabs and clinical observations of 43 DFU patients between February and April 2025. Microscopic results revealed a significant reduction in bacterial presence: only 18.75% of swabs tested positive for gram-positive cocci with the pineapple-based sanitizer, compared to 68.75% in the control group. Furthermore, clinical findings indicated that 76.74% of patients remained infection-free following wound care procedures employing the extract. The study concludes that pineapple core extract possesses potent antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, largely attributed to the enzyme bromelain, making it a viable, eco-friendly, and cost-effective alternative for infection control in specialized wound care settings
