Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of digital teaching modules, students’ perceptions, teachers’ readiness, as well as the availability of facilities and infrastructure in science and social studies (IPAS) learning at elementary schools. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical design. The study was conducted through fieldwork at UPT SDN 04 Jaho, UPTD SDN 05 Sarilamak, and UPT SDN 16 Pulau Karam.The research subjects consisted of teachers from the three schools and 20 third-grade students of UPTD SDN 05 Sarilamak. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, and then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results indicate that digital teaching modules are aligned with the curriculum and are able to present abstract material more concretely through visual media. Students’ perceptions of digital-based learning are generally positive, as reflected in increased interest, motivation, and engagement in learning. The use of digital media also encourages student independence. However, teachers’ readiness remains limited due to a lack of training and varying levels of digital competence. The availability of facilities and infrastructure is also inadequate, such as limited devices and internet access. Efforts that can be made include continuous training, provision of facilities, and the development of flexible offline-based modules.

Abstract

The limited research on the application of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has become a significant concern, as it contributes to low student creativity and a lack of practical understanding of religious values in daily life. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the PjBL model through a cooking project and its impact on enhancing students’ learning creativity in PAI. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, involving five participants (one teacher and four students) selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that implementing PjBL through a cooking project effectively enhances student creativity across four key indicators: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. These results align with constructivist theory and PjBL pedagogical principles, demonstrating that cooking projects can serve as an innovative method for linking theory with practice in PAI learning. The study's implications include a theoretical contribution to the literature on PjBL effectiveness in the PAI context and practical recommendations for PAI teachers to develop contextual, project-based instructional methods. Additionally, this research opens pathways for further studies on project duration and group arrangement strategies to optimize student creativity.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the teacher's perception of the integration of information and communication technology in online social studies learning at Karang Anyar Junior High School, Rupit District, North Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatra Province. This study uses qualitative research methods that can be characterized and tend to use an inductive approach to analysis. with data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentation. The research subjects were social studies teachers. The data analysis technique in this study used a qualitative descriptive data analysis interactive model from Milles and Michael Huberman which consisted of three concurrent activity lines, namely; data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings show that 1) teachers play an important role for students online. Teachers who are involved in online learning activities really help students to achieve a grade. 2) The implementation of the integration of ICT in this online period is by using power points, and also like voice recording so that students can understand what I explain when I teach online. In conclusion, the teacher's perception of the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in online social studies learning at SMPN Karang Anyar obtained information if the teacher has an important role for students in the online period.
