Abstract

This study aims to examine the improvement of anecdotal text writing skills through the implementation of the Discovery Learning model assisted by the Canva application among ninth-grade students at SMPN 3 Luwuk Timur. The background of this research is based on the low ability of students to write anecdotal texts, which had not yet reached the minimum mastery standard, as well as the need for innovative learning approaches that can enhance students’ creativity and motivation. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach with a classroom action research (CAR) design conducted over two cycles. The subjects of this study were all ninth-grade students at the school, totaling 23 participants. Data collection was carried out through anecdotal writing performance tests administered at the end of each cycle. Quantitative data analysis involved calculating the percentage of completeness, class average scores, and improvement in learning outcomes between cycles. The evaluation results in Cycle I showed an average score of 69.34 with a completeness rate of 52.17%. After improvements in the learning process during Cycle II, there was a significant increase, with the average score reaching 90.91 and the completeness rate rising to 90.91%. The findings indicate that the application of the Discovery Learning model assisted by Canva effectively enhances students’ ability to write anecdotal texts. Observations and questionnaire results also revealed that students responded very positively to the learning process. This instructional model encouraged students to be more active and independent in their learning. The study reinforces the effectiveness of integrating constructivist learning models with digital media to improve students’ writing skills and recommends that teachers adopt the Discovery Learning approach assisted by Canva to foster active, creative, innovative, and independent writing instruction at various educational levels.

Abstract

Sungai Bila di Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang Sulawesi Selatan, merupakan salah satu sungai yang secara periodik mengalami luapan, menyebabkan banjir yang berdampak signifikan bagi masyarakat di sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis debit banjir Sungai Bila serta mengevaluasi efektivitas sistem pengendalian banjir yang telah diterapkan. Metode yang digunakan mencakup analisis hidrologi dengan bantuan perangkat lunak HEC-HMS dan simulasi hidrolika 2D menggunakan HEC-RAS. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa debit banjir kala ulang 20 tahun (Q20) mencapai 1.518,10 m³/detik dan menyebabkan genangan di sembilan desa/kelurahan dengan luas total 966,80 hektar. Berdasarkan skenario penanganan jangka pendek hingga panjang, dilakukan analisis efektivitas penambahan tanggul, pembangunan pintu air pada anak sungai, dan kolam retensi. Hasilnya menunjukkan potensi reduksi luas genangan hingga 829,26 hektar. Penelitian ini memberikan dasar penting dalam strategi mitigasi banjir Sungai Bila secara terstruktur dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Traditional games serve as a means of playing and, at the same time, a means of communication. A traditional game is one that has character values because it can build them. The object of this research is elementary school children who play traditional games. This research is qualitative research. Research data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the research data was retested using extended participation, observation, persistence, and triangulation. The results signaled that traditional games can be used as a vehicle for playing because they have benefits for children; not only that, they are also a means of communication and can build character in elementary school children.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat seberapa efektif pendekatan Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam membantu siswa memahami materi penyajian data dalam bentuk tabel di pelajaran Matematika. Studi ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan rancangan quasi-experiment, yang melibatkan dua kelompok siswa. Sampel penelitian sejumlah 64 peserta didik kelas 3 sekolah dasar negeri Tangerang 6. Satu kelompok belajar menggunakan model PBL, sedangkan kelompok lainnya mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan cara biasa yang umum digunakan. Data dikumpulkan lewat tes setelah pembelajaran (posttest), lalu dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik. Dari hasil pengujian, diketahui bahwa data memenuhi syarat untuk dianalisis lebih lanjut karena sebarannya normal dan variansnya seragam. Analisis selanjutnya menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang cukup mencolok antara dua kelompok tersebut. Kelompok yang belajar dengan PBL mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 75,47, sementara kelompok yang diajar secara konvensional memperoleh nilai 66,09. Nilai signifikansinya juga sangat kuat, yaitu 0,000 (p < 0,05). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa model PBL bisa menjadi cara yang lebih efektif dalam membantu siswa memahami pelajaran, khususnya Matematika, secara lebih aktif dan sesuai dengan konteks kehidupan nyata. Maka dari itu, pendekatan ini bisa menjadi pilihan alternatif dalam metode pengajaran di kelas.

Abstract

This research is driven by the rising prevalence of bullying behaviour among students, encompassing verbal, physical, mental, and sexual forms, which constitutes a significant issue within the educational system. This study aims to evaluate the impact of the project focused on enhancing the Pancasila student profile theme of awakening the soul and body as a solution to address student bullying behaviour. This study employs a quantitative methodology utilising a descriptive analytical technique. The data gathering method was a survey strategy utilising a questionnaire instrument given randomly to tenth-grade pupils. Data analysis was conducted via simple linear regression and product moment correlation, facilitated by SPSS version 25 software. The findings indicated a substantial impact of the Pancasila student profile enhancement initiative, centred on the topic of awakening the soul and body, on the bullying behaviour of tenth-grade students, with a significance value of 0.000 (0.000 < 0.05). The project's impact on enhancing the profile of Pancasila students regarding the theme of developing their character and physical well-being in relation to student bullying behaviour is 62.6%. The study's results indicate that the project aimed at enhancing the Pancasila-themed student profile significantly impacts the bullying behaviour of tenth-grade students.

Abstract

Bullying is still a common occurrence in educational settings. It can have a negative impact on students' mental health, and can affect students' academic performance. Factors causing bullying that occurs in the school environment are caused by family factors, school environment factors that are unfair to students, peer factors, social media factors that are used improperly. Bullying that occurs in schools is done individually or in groups, so that teachers can play a role in preventing bullying behavior in schools, therefore this research was conducted to find out the problems and factors that cause bullying cases in Ma'arif Junior High School in Bandung. The purpose of the study was to determine the role of PAI teachers in preventing bullying, and to describe the forms of bullying and to find out the efforts made by PAI teachers in preventing bullying in schools. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods through interviews, observation and documentation using Miles and Huberman data analysis, namely, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the pai teacher plays a role in preventing bullying by carrying out several roles at school including as a role model, as an initiator, as an evaluator and as a mentor in preventing bullying that occurs at Ma'arif Junior High School in Bandung City, among which the forms of bullying that occur at Ma'arif Junior High School in Bandung City are verbal, physical, relational bullying. The efforts made by PAI teachers in preventing bullying in schools by running several school programmes, namely the istighosah programme, habituation of dhuha prayer, kitab akhlaq lil banin, kitab ta'lim muta'lim and flag ceremonies.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Masih rendahnya cakupan ASI Eksklusif baik di Dunia, Indonesia maupun provinsi Banten, khususnya di TPMB Ulfah Kp. Bagoang Ds. Gandayasa RT 10 RW 2 Kec Cikesal Kab Serang, jumlah bayi yang mendapatkan ASI Eksklusif sebanyak 66,1% pada tahun 2023, mengalami penurunan pada tahun 2024 menjadi 63,4%. Untuk mempelajari Hubungan faktor pendidikan dengan produksi ASI di TPMB Ulfah Kp. Bagoang Ds. Gandayasa RT 10 RW 2 Kec Cikesal Kab Serang Tahun 2024. Survei Analitik, dengan pendekatan secara cross sectional, populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh ibu nifas hari ke-2 yang berada di TPMB Ulfah Kp. Bagoang Ds. Gandayasa RT 10 RW 2 Kec Cikesal Kab Serang Tahun 2024 pada tanggal 17 November s/d 17 Desember Tahun 2024 berjumlah 34 orang, dengan teknik total sampling berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dengan jumlah sample 30 responden, memakai data primer dan sekunder, analisis menggunakan univaariat dan bivariat menggunakan chi square. Dari hasil uji statsitik uji Chi Square diketahui ada hubungan pendidikan dengan produksi ASI di TPMB Ulfah Kp. Bagoang Ds. Gandayasa RT 10 RW 2 Kec Cikesal Kab Serang Tahun 2024, dengan ρ value = 0,029 dan nilai C=0,392 yang artinya hubungan antara pendidikan dan produksi ASI dengan kategori lemah. Diharapkan bagi bidan yang membuka TPMB dapat lebih gencar melakukan edukasi bagaimana cara produksi ASI yang baik, faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi ASI, meskipun ibu tidak mendapatkan pendidikan formal, akan tetapi pendidikan dapat didapatkan secara non formal dengan mendengarkan edukasi dari bidan atau tenaga kesehatan lainnya. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan, Produksi ASI  ABSTRACT The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding is still low both in the world, Indonesia and Banten province, especially in TPMB Ulfah Kp. Bagoang Ds. Gandayasa RT 10 RW 2 Kec Cikesal Kab Serang, the number of babies who receive exclusive breastfeeding is 66.1% in 2023, decreasing in 2024 to 63.4%. To study the relationship between education factors and breast milk production in TPMB Ulfah Kp. Bagoang Ds. Gandayasa RT 10 RW 2 Kec Cikesal Kab Serang in 2024. Analytical Survey, with a cross-sectional approach, the population in this study were all postpartum mothers on the 2nd day who were in TPMB Ulfah Kp. Bagoang Ds. Gandayasa RT 10 RW 2 Kec Cikesal Kab Serang in 2024 on November 17 to December 17, 2024 totaling 34 people, with a total sampling technique based on inclusion criteria with a sample size of 30 respondents, using primary and secondary data, analysis using univariate and bivariate using chi square. From the results of the Chi Square statistical test, it is known that there is a relationship between education and breast milk production at TPMB Ulfah Kp. Bagoang Ds. Gandayasa RT 10 RW 2 Kec Cikesal Kab Serang in 2024, with a ρ value = 0.029 and a C value = 0.392, which means the relationship between education and breast milk production is in the weak category. It is hoped that midwives who open TPMB can be more active in educating on how to produce good breast milk, factors that influence breast milk production, even though mothers do not receive formal education, education can be obtained informally by listening to education from midwives or other health workers. Keywords: Education, Breast Milk Production

Abstract

The 1997 National Conference of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Scholars in Lombok issued a groundbreaking fatwā permitting women to hold the position of vice president—a progressive step in advanc­ing gender justice within Islamic discourse. However, at the grassroots level, gender segregation remains deeply entrenched, particularly in Sumenep Regency. This study explores how NU feminists in Su­menep negotiate their struggle for gender equality and how local kiai and religious scholars respond to these efforts. Employing a qualita­tive approach with data collected through literature review, observa­tion, interviews, and documentation, this research is framed by Is­lamic feminist theory. The findings reveal that gender discourse in NU Sumenep remains weak when confronted with the religious authority of kiai and traditional scholars. Their ambivalent and skeptical re­sponses toward gender equality activism indicate that the discourse promoted by the NU Central Board (PBNU) has not been effectively internalized at the local level. Furthermore, the absence of pesantren-based initiatives on gender awareness perpetuates gender segregation, resulting in unequal competencies and opportunities between male and female students. This study highlights the gap between NU’s pro­gressive theological discourse and its limited cultural translation among rural communities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyelidiki dampak media TikTok terhadap peningkatan keterampilan pada siswa yang terlibat dalam pendidikan bahasa dan sastra Indonesia dalam konteks era digital., dengan tujuan untuk menjelaskan efektivitas aplikasi sebagai media pembelajaran dalam pengembangan keterampilan menulis. Riset ini menggunakan metodologi kuantitatif deskriptif, memanfaatkan pengujian dan teknik pengamatan untuk pengumpulan data, diikuti dengan pengurangan data dan analisis skor individu melalui SPSS, berdasarkan hasil pra dan pasca-tes. Hasil Paired Sample T-Test menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam keterampilan menulis puisi, dengan skor pratest rata-rata 68,30 dan skor posttest meningkat menjadi 82,60, mencerminkan peningkatan 14,30 poin. Selain itu, skor signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 menegaskan bahwa media TikTok secara positif mempengaruhi keterampilan menulis puisi di kalangan siswa kelas D Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, menunjukkan efektivitasnya sebagai alat pembelajaran di era digital. Selain meningkatkan keterampilan menulis, media ini juga memotivasi mahasiswa untuk berkreasi lebih luas melalui unsur audio-visual, serta meningkatkan kepercayaan diri mereka dalam mengekspresikan karya sastra secara digital. Abstract

College is a complex environment with students facing a variety of academic, career, and mental well-being pressures. Therefore, guidance and counseling services in higher education have increased urgency in supporting students to face these challenges. This research aims to identify the urgency of guidance and counseling services in higher education in optimizing academic development, career development and mental well-being of students. This research involves a comprehensive literature perspective on the role and benefits of guidance and counseling services in higher education. Data were analyzed by considering findings from a number of relevant studies. The research results show that guidance and counseling services in higher education have a central role in helping students achieve academic success, plan appropriate careers, and maintain their mental and emotional well-being. The urgency of this service is increasingly strengthened by changes in social dynamics, technology and an increasingly complex world of work. Therefore, investment in the development and provision of guidance and counseling services in higher education is an urgent need to support student growth and development in the modern era.
