Abstract

Air pollution is one of the most pressing environmental issues, with direct impacts on human health and environmental quality. The increasing intensity of transportation activities, industrial operations, forest and land fires, and regional development in South Sumatra Province has increased the risk of air pollution, particularly from nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and sulfur dioxide (SO2). This study aims to analyze the concentrations and multi-year trends of NO2 and SO2 in South Sumatra based on passive sampler measurements conducted at 68 monitoring sites across 17 districts and municipalities during the period 2021–2024. The results show that the average concentrations of NO2 ranged from 6.654 to 9.944 micrograms per cubic meter, while SO2 concentrations ranged from 7.303 to 8.456 micrograms per cubic meter. All measured concentrations were below the National Ambient Air Quality Standards as well as the European Union guideline values. Trend analysis indicates a consistent decrease in NO2 and SO2 concentrations from 2021 to 2024. These findings contribute to the availability of long-term air quality data and enhance understanding of NO2 and SO2 dynamics, providing a scientific basis for the development of evidence-based strategies for air pollution control and prevention in South Sumatra Province. Abstract

This article aims to find out how and to what extent the school leadership style abilitiesinfluence the quality of educational administration services. This type of research is quantitative, research data is collected using a Likert scale model instrument which has been tested for validity and reliability, research data is analyzed statistically using simple linear regression analysis techniques assisted by SPSS 16, the samples for this research are all administrative staff at muslim school, teachers, students and parents/guardians of 36 students. The results of the research prove that the influence of the leadership style ability on the quality of educational administration services is 15.1%, so it is included in the very low but influential category. This means that there is a significant relationship between variables X and Y. Research findings illustrate that the leadership style of educational institution leaders influence the quality of service provided by educational institutions to their customers. These findings also occur in government institutions that provide services to the public. Several previous research findings convey the same thing. This is also proven in the findings of this research. The conclusion of this article is that the leadership style of school principals influence the quality of educational administration services at the institution concerned.

Abstract

The current research aims to examine the impact of guided inquiry-based learning on elementary school students' critical thinking. A quasi-experimental research design with one group pre-test and post-test was employed. The participants were 24 elementary school students selected based on the convenience sampling method. Pre and post-tests were given to the participants, and the data gathered was analysed through a paired sample t-test. The result of the paired sample t-test is significant with a p-value < .001, indicating the significant increase in the difference between the pre-test and post-test of the students' critical thinking. Other than that, the standard deviation of the difference is 10.60, with a standard error of 1.53, with the mean difference between posttest and pretest being 77.33 points, indicating the different result of the posttest with the pretest. Furthermore, the values 2.08 for Cohen’s d and 2.01 for Hedges’ correction indicate that the guided inquiry module had a strong and meaningful impact on enhancing students’ critical thinking abilities. In this case, the hedges and Cohen’s d value emphasise the significance of guided inquiry-based learning for the development of students’ critical thinking. Therefore, the current research confirms the significance of the use of guided inquiry-based learning to improve elementary school students' critical thinking.

Abstract

Neurodermatitis sirkumskripta merupakan penyakit kulit kronis yang ditandai dengan plak hiperpigmentasi, likenifikasi, dan skuama akibat siklus gatal dan garuk berulang. Kondisi ini umumnya terjadi pada usia dewasa hingga lanjut usia dan sering dipicu oleh stres psikologis serta pajanan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan aspek klinis, faktor pencetus, dan hasil penatalaksanaan Neurodermatitis sirkumskripta dengan menekankan peran stres dan lingkungan kerja. Penelitian menggunakan desain studi kasus deskriptif pada seorang laki laki berusia 58 tahun yang datang ke Poliklinik Kulit RSUD Arjawinangun pada April 2024 dengan keluhan gatal kronis pada dorsum pedis sinistra selama kurang lebih tiga tahun. Data diperoleh melalui autoanamnesis, pemeriksaan klinis, dan dokumentasi foto lesi. Pemeriksaan dermatologis menunjukkan satu plak terlokalisasi berukuran sekitar 5 x 8 cm dengan gambaran hiperpigmentasi, skuama, dan likenifikasi berbatas tegas. Keluhan gatal memberat pada malam hari dan saat tidak beraktivitas, serta diperberat oleh stres emosional dan kebiasaan menggaruk kronis. Pasien bekerja sebagai petani dengan pajanan lingkungan yang berpotensi memperburuk kondisi kulit. Penatalaksanaan dilakukan melalui edukasi manajemen stres, modifikasi perilaku untuk menghentikan kebiasaan menggaruk, serta pemberian metilprednisolon oral, loratadine, dan urea 10 persen topikal. Evaluasi klinis setelah dua minggu menunjukkan perbaikan objektif berupa penurunan intensitas gatal dan berkurangnya penebalan lesi. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor psikologis dan lingkungan berperan penting dalam perjalanan penyakit. Implikasi klinisnya menegaskan perlunya pendekatan terapi holistik yang mengintegrasikan intervensi farmakologis dan psikososial untuk meningkatkan hasil pengobatan dan mencegah kekambuhan pada praktik klinik sehari-hari.

Abstract

Candidiasis intertriginosa adalah infeksi jamur superfisial yang sering mengenai lipatan kulit, terutama pada lansia dengan faktor predisposisi seperti diabetes tidak terkontrol, kebersihan diri yang kurang, dan lingkungan lembap. Laporan kasus ini mendeskripsikan seorang perempuan 73 tahun dengan lesi eritema lembap dan satelit pada lipatan paha, bawah payudara, dan tangan, yang dipicu kombinasi faktor usia, hiperglikemia, kelembapan tinggi, dan kebiasaan higienis yang kurang optimal. Penatalaksanaan melibatkan terapi antijamur serta intervensi pada faktor risiko, termasuk edukasi kebersihan, pengurangan kelembapan, dan pengendalian gula darah. Temuan utama menegaskan bahwa pada pasien geriatri dengan diabetes, infeksi dapat lebih luas dan berisiko kambuh jika faktor predisposisi tidak diperbaiki. Implikasi klinisnya menunjukkan bahwa strategi pengelolaan candidiasis intertriginosa pada kelompok ini harus terpadu, mencakup pengobatan jamur dan modifikasi perilaku serta lingkungan untuk mencegah kekambuhan dan komplikasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Project Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis berdiferensiasi terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas V pada mata pelajaran IPAS di SDN Jurumudi 4. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode pre-eksperimental dan desain one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 26 siswa kelas VA yang diberi perlakuan dengan menerapkan model PjBL berbasis berdiferensiasi. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes keterampilan berpikir kreatif, dan data dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dengan bantuan SPSS versi 27. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pretest siswa adalah 37.96 dan meningkat menjadi 54.04 pada posttest. Hasil uji-t memperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 4.811, sedangkan ttabel sebesar 1.706 pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Karena thitung > ttabel, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan. Dengan demikian, model PjBL berbasis berdiferensiasi terbukti dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam pembelajaran IPAS.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out errors in the use pf capital letters and punctuation in descriptive essays on the writing skills of 5th graders at Amanah Elementary School, Tangerang City. The type of research method used by the researcher is description. The reason the uses a qualitative approach is because the presentation of data and data analysis will be delivered in the form of a sentence description based on the results of tests, interview, and documentation studies. The results of the study found 23 students’ writings that had been analyzed there were 69 errors in the use of capital letters in the first letter of the beginning of the sentence, there are 19 errors in using capital letters in the first letter of people’s names, errors in the use of capital letters in the first letter of the name of the year, month and big day or holiday there are 7 errors, there are 16 errors in the use of capital letters in the first letter of the geographic names. And in the results of the analysis of errors in the use of punctuation, there are 57 errors in the use of punctuation point, 8 errors in the use punctuation marks, 6 errors in the use of hyphens.

Abstract

This research aims to examine innovation and evaluation of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum to support future educational development. The method used is a literature review, analyzing various scientific sources, including national and international journals, books, and recent research reports relevant to the topic. The study results indicate that PAI curriculum innovation needs to be oriented towards developing 21st-century competencies, integrating digital technology, and strengthening students' character and spiritual values. Furthermore, PAI curriculum evaluation should not only focus on cognitive aspects but also encompass affective and psychomotor aspects holistically. Other findings indicate that effective curriculum implementation requires the active role of teachers as learning innovators, support from educational policies, and the use of contextual learning media based on local wisdom. Curriculum evaluation also needs to be conducted continuously, using formative and summative approaches to ensure its relevance and effectiveness. Therefore, PAI curriculum innovation and evaluation are key to creating an education system that is adaptive, relevant, and able to meet future challenges. This research is expected to contribute to the development of a more progressive PAI curriculum oriented towards student needs in the era of globalization.
