Abstract

Lemongrass stems (Cymbopogon citratus) are natural ingredients that contain allelopathic compounds, which can disrupt the metabolic processes of pests, which can cause death. Kitchen lemongrass stems can be used as a preference, as a natural, environmentally friendly ingredient for controlling banana leafroller caterpillar pests (Erionota thrax L). This study aims to determine the effect of kitchen lemongrass stem extract on the time of death of E. thrax larvae, to obtain the best concentration and dose as well as the interaction of determining the concentration and dose of the extract on time of death, mortality, body condition and percentage of attacks by Erionata thrax L larvae. The research method used a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors with 4 treatments and 4 repetitions. The 1st factor is the concentration (20%, 40%, 60% kitchen lemongrass bioinsecticide) and 1% (1% insecticide) while the second factor is the dose of 10 ml, 20 ml and 30 ml of kitchen lemongrass stem extract. The observation data was analyzed using ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) at the 5% level. If there is a real influence, then proceed with the LSD (Least Significant Difference) test. This research shows that the application of lemongrass stem extract has a real influence on the time of death, larval mortality, body condition, and percentage of appetite of banana leafroller caterpillars. A concentration of 60% and a dose of 30 ml of lemongrass stem extract provided a significant interaction with the death time of Erionata thrax L larvae.

Abstract

One of the classic problems of Semarang City as a metropolitan city is related to the arrangement of the transportation system until now not resolved comprehensively. The arrangement of transportation in Semarang City as a trigger for the emergence of problems disproportionate number of vehicles to the number of passengers or residents compared to the volume of roads passed by motorized vehicles in Semarang City. With the increasing population of Semarang City on the one increasing motorized vehicles, the increasing number of motorized vehicles if not balanced with the number or volume of roads passed by motorized vehicles every day, every hour has the consequence of congestion and chaos on several roads in Semarang City. Referring to these conditions, the Semarang City Government is trying to overcome transportation problems by organizing road-based public transportation known as BRT or Bus Rapid Transit Trans Semarang which was first rolled out on September 18, 2009. The legal aspects that underlie the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) Trans Semarang service are Law No. 22 of 2009, No. 25 of 2009. The Trans Semarang Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service is expected to address transportation management issues in Semarang, a growing metropolitan city. In this qualitative study, the researcher describes the quality of BRT implementation in Semarang from a legal perspective.

Abstract

The practice of bullying is an act of exercising dominance to inflict harm upon others through verbal abuse, physical violence, or psychological pressure, which ultimately leaves the victim in a state of depression and chronic helplessness. This concept is derived from the English term "bull," representing an animal that strikes out unpredictably. In an etymological sense, it refers to individuals who target the vulnerable. Perpetrators, known as bullies, operate under the assumption that they possess the power to control their victims, who feel permanently intimidated and weak. The primary goal of this particular initiative is to equip students with a deep awareness regarding the necessity of helping one another and fostering genuine care within their community. Furthermore, it seeks to prevent the occurrence of bullying behaviors, considering that such toxic actions result in detrimental impacts that affect not only the victims and the perpetrators but also the entire social fabric of the institution.

Abstract

Being wise on social media for teenagers means using digital platforms consciously, responsibly, and in accordance with legal and ethical norms. Teenagers need to understand that every post, comment, and dissemination of information has legal implications, such as the risk of privacy violations, defamation, hate speech, and the spread of hoaxes. This understanding is crucial to ensuring that social media is used positively as a means of expression, education, and social interaction without causing future legal problems. Teenagers who upload content containing insults, accusations, or negative comments about others may be subject to legal sanctions. Posts on social media are considered statements in a public space, so even if made privately or jokingly, they still have the potential to violate the law if they harm the honor of others. The legal consequences include criminal proceedings, fines, and/or imprisonment. Therefore, digital literacy education and parental guidance are essential to help teenagers develop critical thinking, self-control, and ethical awareness in navigating online environments safely and responsibly.

Abstract

Global studies have demonstrated that when communities are involved from the early stages of environmental planning and management, they become better prepared to cope with the risks associated with climate change and environmental degradation. For instance, World Bank reports emphasize that community engagement enhances local resilience and supports sustainable development. This finding indicates that public participation is not merely a supplementary component but rather a fundamental element in establishing effective, equitable, and sustainable environmental policies. In practice, however, the implementation of participation-based policies at the regional level is not always straightforward. Numerous challenges persist, including limited access to information, insufficient technical capacity among community members to engage in environmental issues, inequalities within deliberative processes, and the influence of local political dynamics. Several international studies have also noted that participation may become ineffective when communities are involved merely as a procedural formality without meaningful opportunities to influence decision-making processes. This study focuses on analyzing legal instruments and strategic measures adopted by regional governments to mobilize citizen participation in long-term environmental conservation. The research is categorized as library research. The analysis of the literature is conducted using a theoretical legal approach, commonly referred to as normative juridical analysis. The findings indicate that regional policies have the potential to transform public participation from a mere formality into genuine engagement that significantly influences environmental management decisions. Broad public involvement following the Constitutional Court Decision No. 91/PUU-XVIII/2020 concerning the Job Creation Law is expected to enhance oversight of the effectiveness of amendments to previously established conservation provisions. This aspect reflects the practical role of communities in environmental protection. Therefore, systemic reforms aimed at standardizing and optimizing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA/AMDAL) instruments require strong support from various sectors of society.

Abstract

This article attempts to explore the role of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as a driving force for employment in Sendang Village, Wonogiri District to support Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data was obtained through interviews, observation and collecting related documents. Social entrepreneurship theory is used to analyze the data in this research. Novelty in this research is the theory used to analyze and the existence of SDGs elements in studying the role of MSMEs as a driving force for employment. The research results show that MSMEs in Sendang Village help create jobs because the presence of MSMEs requires labor. Some of the MSMEs that are developing in Sendang Village are fish processing into floss and nuget, patchwork processing, shoe production, dry tempe production, food stalls and souvenir shops, fish cultivation. The presence of MSMEs plays an important role in Sendang Village. Many MSMEs in Sendang can absorb labor both from within Sendang Village and from outside the village. The Sendang Village Government has provided support with various efforts, including improving the quality of human resources and supporting equipment. The success of some MSMEs in Sendang Village depends on the large number of tourists who come to various tourist attractions in the village. Considering the large number of MSMEs that operate because of the support of natural tourism potential in the Sendang area. The challenges faced by some MSMEs in Sendang Village, especially those who are involved in the restaurant business. Stall owners are subject to restaurant tax of 10% of turnover, not net profit. In fact, the tax is already in effect in all regions and is imposed on buyers. However, in Wonogiri, if it is implemented, it will not be fully accepted by buyers. Another obstacle is that business owners who have employees must include them as BPJS participants. In fact, some MSME players who are just starting a business are considered something burdensome.
