Abstract

Abstract

This research is quantitative research with an exploratory approach, namely an approach that uses a number of previous studies as the main reference for finding elements of Novelty and Research Gap in this article. The data used in this research is secondary data that researchers obtained from the annual Central Statistics Agency reports from 2014-2024. The data used was analyzed using the smart PLS 4.0 analysis tool with the hypothesis formulation below. The result in this article show the investment variable has a positive relationship and a significant influence on economic growth. This is because the P-Values value is positive and is below the 0.05 significance level, namely 0.003. This is because large investments can improve all lines that can boost growth, both in terms of industry, education, health, and so on. Apart from that, in the second row of the third table, the Path Coefficient above shows that the Export variable can moderate the influence of the Investment variable on Economic Growth due to the same thing, namely the direction of the positive relationship of P-Values and is below the significance level of 0.05, namely 0.000, which is more significant than the direct test of 0.003. . In this way the first and second hypotheses in the research can be accepted and proven. Keywords: Investment, Econmic Growth, Exports

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Operational Ratio, Cash Ratio, Collection Effectiveness, and Solvency on the Return on Equity (ROE) of Regional Water Supply Companies (PERUMDA Air Minum) in North Sumatra Province. The research employed a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis via SPSS software. Data were obtained from audited financial statements of PERUMDA Air Minum companies. The results show that all independent variables simultaneously have a significant effect on ROE, with an F-value of 7.830 and a significance level of < 0.001. Partially, the Operational Ratio has a significant negative effect, while Collection Effectiveness has a significant positive effect on ROE. The Cash Ratio was found to be insignificant. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.380 indicates that 38% of ROE variation is explained by the independent variables. After removing outliers through the boxplot test, the regression model satisfied classical assumption tests and showed normally distributed data. This research contributes empirical evidence emphasizing the importance of operational efficiency and collection performance in improving the financial outcomes of regional enterprises. The findings provide valuable insights for management in developing effective financial strategies while ensuring sustainable public service.

Abstract

Background: Stroke is a common neurological disorder that requires prompt and appropriate management to prevent functional impairment. Non-pharmacological nursing interventions play an important role in supporting motor recovery, one of which is Mirror Therapy, which facilitates motor relearning through visual feedback mechanisms. Objective: This study aimed to implement nursing care for stroke patients through the application of Mirror Therapy based on Roy’s Adaptation Model. Methods: A descriptive study with a case study approach was conducted involving three stroke patients at RSUD Siti Fatimah. The intervention consisted of Mirror Therapy exercises integrated with Roy’s Adaptation Model. Data collection techniques included nursing assessment, observation, physical examination, and documentation. Nursing diagnoses were established based on the Indonesian Nursing Diagnosis Standards (SDKI), and interventions were implemented using the Indonesian Nursing Intervention Standards (SIKI) and evaluated with the Indonesian Nursing Outcome Standards (SLKI). Results: Initial assessments of all three patients revealed complaints of unilateral extremity weakness and dizziness. The identified nursing diagnoses included impaired physical mobility and risk of ineffective cerebral perfusion. After three days of Mirror Therapy intervention, all patients demonstrated improvement in extremity muscle strength scores. These findings indicate a positive functional response to the intervention. Conclusion: Mirror Therapy based on Roy’s Adaptation Model is effective in improving extremity muscle strength and addressing impaired physical mobility in patients with non-hemorrhagic stroke. This intervention can be considered a valuable non-pharmacological nursing approach to support motor recovery in stroke patients.

Abstract

Listening skills are fundamental abilities in English language learning, which include the ability to accurately receive, understand, and interpret spoken language. The aspects of listening assessed in this study were identifying main ideas, identifying specific information, making inferences, and spelling vocabulary. The Cake application is a language learning platform designed to support foreign language acquisition. Some features that can be used to teach students’ listening skills are video lessons, quizzes, and video history. In this research, only the teacher used the Cake application during lessons, while students were not permitted to access or use the application either during or outside classroom hours. This approach was intended to maintain instructional control and ensure that improvements resulted from guided use rather than independent practice. This research aims to investigate the effect of the use of Cake application in teaching listening skill and to find out the effect size of its implementation. This research uses a pre-experimental design with one-group pre-test and post-test. The research participants were tenth-grade students at SMAN 2 Teluk Keramat and the sample was selected using cluster random sampling which consisted of 28 students. The data was collected using tests given to students before and after the treatment. The results showed an increase in the average score from 68.21 on the pre-test to 75.18 on the post-test. The Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test showed a statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test (T = 17.5 t-critical = 46). The effect size value was 0.72, which indicates a large effect. This finding concludes that the use of the Cake application in teaching listening skill has a significant effect, therefore the Cake application can be used as an alternative medium for teaching English in the classroom
