Abstract

The limited product diversification of the Indonesian coal mining industry underscores the imperative for the formulation of strategic business plans to navigate the intensifying market competition. This study aims to examine the market structure, the factors influencing sales, and the impact of market structure on the sales performance of coal mining companies in Indonesia. This study employs a quantitative method and utilizes a range of analytical techniques, including CR4, HHI, MES, CLR, PCM, and multiple linear regression. The CR4 and HHI analysis revealed that the market structure of coal mining companies in Indonesia is classified as a highly concentrated tight oligopoly. The MES analysis yielded the conclusion that new companies in the sector face significant barriers to market entry. The findings of the CLR analysis, which indicates that the coal mining sector is a capital-intensive industry, suggest that equity and capital factors are the primary contributors to the challenges faced by new companies attempting to enter the market. The results of the multiple linear regression analysis indicate that equity factors and production volume have a positive and significant effect on company sales. This finding is corroborated by the PCM analysis, which suggests that companies with low market share tend to set higher margins to obtain greater profits. Increasing investment levels may serve as a viable business strategy, particularly when supported by government policies aimed at fostering a secure and stable investment environment to enhance company equity and capital.

Abstract

Business units such as cooperatives are currently experiencing growth along with developments in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. Today's era also requires business actors, including cooperatives, to continue to be able to transform digitally in various ways. The main problem currently being faced by cooperative actors is the low competence of Human Resources (HR) in mastering digital literacy skills related to effective and efficient management of production operations starting from production, accounting, marketing, management and so on. These problems must be addressed and dealt with appropriately, quickly and sustainably (sustainability). This digital literacy capability makes a major contribution in optimizing the competitive advantage and corporate performance of cooperatives, especially in today's digital era. Based on these problems, the purpose of this research is to study and optimize digital literacy in increasing competitive advantage and sustainable cooperative performance in the Koperasi Produsen Petani Indonesia (KPPI). The urgency of this research is that cooperative actors have literacy skills, business models and sustainable management patterns (sustainability) based on digital technology. The research methodology is a qualitative approach using interviews, observation, documentation, demonstrations and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) techniques. The research stages include introduction, implementation and evaluation.

Abstract

While the experience of working abroad can provide new skills and knowledge, former migrant workers often face challenges in reintegrating into the local labor market upon returning to Indonesia. Malaysian migrant workers have a tendency to work for less than the minimum wage after returning to Indonesia. Using the August 2021 sakernas data and logit analysis, this study will discuss the probability of former Indonesian migrant workers with a destination country of Malaysia, to earn wages above or equal to the minimum wage in the place where they work. The results of the logit analysis show that former Indonesian migrant workers have a probability of earning a living wage upon returning to Indonesia. Those who have a greater probability are former migrant workers with male gender, have higher education and have a formal job after returning to Indonesia.

Abstract

The Government-to-Government (G2G) program significantly increases the number of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) in Korea. As a developed country, South Korea is committed to protecting all workers in its territory, including migrant workers from Indonesia. However, the employment social security of the South Korean government is not fully able to cover the risks and needs of PMI. Protecting migrant workers' rights to social security is important. It is also the responsibility of the Indonesian government through BPJS Employment, not only to ensure equal treatment in social security for migrant workers but also to expand social security coverage for populations that are currently unprotected. Therefore, it is important for employment social security administrators to increase the probability of migrant workers becoming BPJS Employment participants. Using the logistic regression method and Sakernas data for August 2021, it was found that migrant workers who work in the formal sector, with work contracts, and have BPJS Health membership have a higher tendency to become Employment Social Security participants.

Abstract

The presto milkfish business activities in Tambakrejo Village are hampered by floods and tidal waves. Floods and tidal waves result in decreased productivity, disruption of the flow of goods and services, and damage to supporting infrastructure. One of the business units affected by the flood and tidal waves is the Enaxmen UMKM managed by Mrs. Kurnia ( Target Partner). Based on information from partners, the disaster that occurred became a serious threat because it greatly disrupted production activities, even at certain times it could not produce because there was no supply of raw materials. The period of 2020-2021 when Covid-19 occurred was a major blow to partners because of the decrease in turnover and production by more than 50% . The problem , based on the conditions above, is that partners are very vulnerable to shocks (disasters) that occur, especially since partners also do not have standard procedures in dealing with these problems . Another problem is that partner marketing is still limited in scope, on the other hand, partners also do not have the capacity to promote products, so that it indirectly has an impact on low product branding. The capacity of Tambakrejo Village MSME actors in managing their business through the implementation of the Business Continuity Plan has increased well . This can be seen from the increasing understanding of MSME actors in planning business continuity amidst the potential for natural disasters . This needs to be done considering that the Tambakrejo Village area is an area that is very prone to flooding, tidal flooding, and fires . MSME actors have also understood online marketing to increase the capacity of the products produced.

Fun run as a type of recreational sport is increasingly in demand by various groups of people. The involvement of sponsors in this activity plays an important role in increasing the attraction, participation, and success of the event. Sponsorship makes a significant contribution through financial support, provision of facilities, and promotion. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey of participants and organizers and sponsors involved in fun run events specifically in the Central Java region. The results of the analysis show that sponsorship has a positive impact on increasing brand awareness, increasing the number of participants participating in the Fun Run, and can ensure the sustainability of the event effectively. Thus, the sustainability of the relationship between organizers and sponsors is a key factor in supporting the marketing and development of fun runs in Central Java.

Abstract

Commodity price movements have a significant impact on regional economic stability, especially in terms of inflation. In Central Java Province, fluctuations in the prices of rice, shallots, curly red chilies, red cayenne peppers, and cooking oil are the main causes of inflation. This phenomenon requires a more in-depth examination of the relationship between price fluctuations and inflation. This means that studies at the regional level are still limited. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of commodity price changes on inflation in Central Java. The data used is from 2021 to 2025 using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) - Error Correction Model (ECM) method. The data used is monthly secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the National Food Agency. The estimation results show that in the short term, the variables of curly red chili price, previous period curly red chili price, previous period rice price, and previous period cooking oil price have a significant effect on inflation, while in the long term, curly red chili price has a positive effect and rice price has a negative effect on inflation in Central Java. The CointEq(-1) coefficient, which has a value of -0.106705 and is significant, indicates the existence of a correction mechanism towards long-term equilibrium. This value suggests that around 10.67% of the deviation of inflation from its equilibrium in the previous period is adjusted or corrected during the current period.
