Abstract

Language is a communication tool to convey and receive messages from individual or group to another person or group of persons. Language acquisition is essentially influenced by factors within individuals and individuals outside. To optimize the development of early childhood language need for stimulation from the environment and not just rely on the existence of internal factors of children. Educators, including parents and teachers must master aspects of the development and characteristics of children so that the stimulation that will produce optimal results.

Abstract

This article discusses the leadership of elementary school principals. Pelangi Islam Elementary School is a formal educational institution for elementary level.The principal is the central figure in the elementary school. The principal is not only a teacher, but also a leader who guides students in understanding and practicing Islamic education. The Principal's leadership plays an important role in building a student learning community that does not only focus on academic aspects, but also on developing character and spirituality. This research aims to analyze the leadership role of the Principal in creating a supportive learning environment for students at Pelangi Islam Elementary School. To identify the strategies used by the Principal in building collaboration and positive interactions between students. This research used qualitative methods at Pelangi Islamic Elementary School, Tegal. The Principal's leadership has a significant impact in building a student learning community at Pelangi Tegal Islamic Elementary School. With a collaborative and integrative approach, the Principal can create an environment that supports students' academic and character development. Further research is needed to dig deeper into the most effective strategies in different contexts.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of humanistic group counseling with experiential learning and client centered to increase students confidence. This research is true experimental using Pretest-Post test Comparison Group Design. The subjects were chosen by random sampling. Samples taken as many as 12 students consisted of 6 students in the experimental group with experiential learning and 6 students in the experimental group with client centered. Method of data completion is done using a confident questionnaire. Data analysis for this research conducted with using Statistical Analysis One Way Anova. The results showed that humanistic group counseling with experiential learning and client centered had an influence on increasing self-confidence. This was evidenced from the results of the One Way Anova Statistical Parametric test with the probability value of sig. (2-tailed) 0.001 <0.05. Based on the analysis and discussion, there is a difference in the average score of self-confidence questionnaire between the experimental group with experiential learning by 43.38% and the experimental group with client centered by 30.22%. The results indicate that humanitstic group counseling with experiential learning have a more influence in increasing student confidance compared to humanistic group counseling with client centered.

Abstract

Phenomena of dishonesty among high school adolescents indicate a serious challenge in character education. At SMK X Temanggung, cases of dishonesty were found among female students who claimed menstruation as an excuse to avoid prayer due to its schedule being close to school dismissal. This reflects a tendency to choose dishonesty as well as a lack of awareness of honesty and spiritual responsibility. This community service activity employed a psychoeducation method. The results showed that the psychoeducation intervention increased the average student knowledge score on honest behavior from 70.882 to 75.588, although the difference was not statistically significant (p = 0.058). This increase indicates that psychoeducation is able to strengthen students’ cognitive aspects related to the value of honesty.

Abstract

According to Law Number 35 of 2014, a child is a human being under the age of 18. The number of children in Indonesia is very large, reaching 88,819,900 people or 31.23% of the total population in Indonesia based on the census conducted by the Central Statistics Agency. The large number of children in Indonesia makes children a determinant of the country's progress in the future, regarding the needs and rights of every child in Indonesia that must be considered. In reality, providing children's rights has not been running optimally. According to data released by the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection in 2024 there were 25,559 cases of violence against children throughout Indonesia. Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, by 2025 there were 3.9 million children who were not in school. Abraham Harold Maslow, a psychologist from New York, put forward the Theory of Levels of Needs which explains five levels of human needs in general and has a similar view to Law Number 35 of 2014 which explains children's rights. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach and was conducted on October 27 – November 17, 2025.

Abstract

The business and industrial sectors increasingly require Vocational High School (SMK) graduates to possess not only strong hard skills but also advanced soft skills. These competencies can only be developed through innovative and contextual learning practices. Many vocational teachers do not create tailored teaching materials that align with the curriculum, meet the needs of the business sector, and consider the characteristics of their students. To address these challenges, the involvement of learning support teacher, particularly School Supervisors and School Principals, is crucial in enhancing the quality of learning in schools. However, there is currently no structured support model that specifically addresses teachers’ practices, and School Supervisors are not sufficiently engaged as coaching partners within the schools. From interviews, observations, and a survey of a random sample of 51 teachers from 147 vocational non-educational teachers in Palembang City, the average pedagogical understanding was 55.75, hence immediate measures are needed to address teachers with low pedagogical competence. Considering the varying expertise of each school assistant, the collaboration of learning that combines training and guidance with mentoring and optimises individual and group competencies by providing support in the form of coaching is currently the appropriate strategy.

Abstract

Social care is a person's empathetic attitude where one party can feel what is being experienced. The purpose of this service is psychoeducation as a method to broaden understanding in order to increase the cultivation of social care attitudes for students of Sarbini Grabag Islamic Junior High School. The methods applied in this activity are lectures, group discussions, games, and training. Implementation in this service activity includes the planning stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. The results of the service activities obtained are that students begin to understand the importance of instilling social care attitudes and can foster student awareness to increase empathy for others in the surrounding environment and students can apply it in everyday life.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai kritik budaya akademik sekolah tentang pendidikan formal yang demokratis. Pendidikan formal (re: sekolah) yang mensyaratkan sebuah hubungan relasi guru-peserta didik perlu dikritisi secara mendalam melalui tinjauan kritis pemikiran Paulo Freire dan Neil Postman. Domestikasi yang terjadi antara guru-peserta didik menjadi sumber kritik yang disasar oleh pendidikan kritis. Konteks ini berlaku bahwa pendidikan seharusnya lebih mengembangkan nilai-nilai kebebasan dan kritisisme. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan literatur atau pustaka (literature review) dengan mengelompokkan buku, jurnal, hingga laporan akademis. Analisis data dilakukan secara sistematis menggunakan pendekatan analisis isi kualitatif melalui tahapan open coding untuk mengidentifikasi konsep-konsep kunci, dilanjutkan dengan axial coding untuk mengelompokkan konsep ke dalam kategori tematik, serta selective coding untuk merumuskan tema inti yang merepresentasikan kritik budaya akademik sekolah. Hal ini dilakukan untuk memilah pemikiran-pemikiran yang relevan sesuai dengan fokus penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Paulo Freire memiliki kritik budaya akademik sekolah sebagai alternatif gagasan pendidikan formal yang demokratis, meliputi: a). Perbaikan relasi guru-peserta didik lewat orientasi dialogis; b). Penggunaan problem-posing education (metode hadap-masalah). Sementara itu, Neil Postman menekankan kritik terhadap hubungan guru-peserta didik yang tidak terbuka terhadap kebaruan teoretis, dengan menawarkan: a). Re-demokratisasi ruang kelas; b). Pendekatan metode proyek edukasi guru-peserta didik.

Abstract

The high number of recidivism cases is a form of evaluation of the failure of the reintegration process of correctional clients. This study aims to determine the study of reintegration in correctional clients so that further research can be conducted. The research method used is bibliometric analysis using Vosviewer on published articles indexed by Scopus based on searches from 2000-2024. The results of the study showed that a journal search on the scopus.com site with the keywords (reentry OR resettlement OR reintegration*) AND (recidivi OR recidivism*) AND (prisoners OR incarceration OR incarcerated*) obtained 524 journals. Then reduced based on the following aspects, namely (1) English and open access, (2) Scopus-indexed scientific articles, (3) research in 2000-2024, (4) subject areas in the fields of Social, Health and Psychology. Based on the results of the Vosviewer analysis using the co-author method, it shows that the country with the highest reintegration research is America with 390 Scopus-indexed journals. This shows that research interest in the topic of reintegration is very high, followed by Australia and England and other European countries. From the author's context, there are 10 authors who show high frequency in their research, but there are only four authors who are connected to each other. This shows the lack of significant collaboration between authors. In addition, there are several potential variables for further research, namely mental health, well-being, quality of life, self-efficacy, dan support system.

Abstract

This study investigates how web-based civic education shapes students’ law-abiding attitudes in senior high school online learning. Although prior studies highlight the use of digital platforms in civic instruction, little is known about the mechanisms through which online civic learning influences students’ legal awareness and civic dispositions. To address this gap, a qualitative approach was employed to explore students’ experiences in web-based civic education. Data were collected through focus group discussions with 100 students and in-depth interviews with ten civic education teachers. The data were analyzed using thematic coding with cross-case comparison and triangulation to ensure analytical rigor and saturation. The findings reveal three key mechanisms: (1) contextual digital content enhances students’ legal awareness, (2) interactive discussion and case-based learning facilitate the internalization of law-abiding values, and (3) online collaborative activities strengthen civic responsibility. These results demonstrate that web-based civic education functions not only as a technological medium but also as a transformative learning environment. This study contributes by clarifying the pathways linking digital civic instruction to students’ law-abiding behavior and offers practical insights for designing meaningful online civic education.
