Abstract

Several previous studies have tried to develop mathematics learning applications, but they are still limited as a learning medium. Developing a digital-based mathematics learning application that facilitates learning from start to finish is necessary. This study aims to develop a viable and effective mobile application. The Development Process uses the CAI design model, which includes needs assessment, design, and development & implementation. Formative evaluations were obtained from expert reviews and students. The experts involved are experts in content, learning media, and multimedia. The formative evaluation stage by students includes one-to-one trials, small groups, and field trials. Research data was collected through questionnaires and test questions. This study involved 1 teacher and 52 high school students in Indonesia. The average score of expert reviews is 3.6, which is in the category of very good. The average score obtained from Formative Evaluation by students is 3.5, with an excellent category. The pretest and post-test scores showed an increase of 40% in students who achieved the completeness of learning outcomes. The average score of N-gain is 0.4 in the medium category. The Ajarin Mobile Application is feasible and effective in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes. This research is expected to be an alternative digital learning resource that makes it easier for teachers to facilitate mathematics learning in schools.

Abstract

Implementing civic education learning in senior high schools has not improved students' quality as good citizens with the right civic skills. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of the multiculturalism learning model based on local wisdom in the subject of civic education. The learning model is used to instill the values of cultural diversity in students in responding to demographic changes. This is a qualitative study with data collected through interviews involving ten students and four civic education teachers in a high school in Manado, North Sulawesi. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The results indicate the values of local wisdom used as a model for multiculturalism learning. This research has implications for the culture of cooperation among students in conducting Civics learning activities in the classroom. It can act as an alternative for Civics teachers to develop the values of diligence, cooperation, and high school students' responsibility.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the leadership characteristics of Teacher Professional Education (PPG) students in the context of the New Technology in Teaching and Learning course. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with research subjects being pre-service PPG students of the Mathematics Education study program. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and questionnaires to evaluate three main indicators that influence leadership effectiveness, namely: social competence, communication skills, and psychological characteristics. The results of the study showed that communication skills were the most dominant aspect with the highest score, while the other two indicators showed performance that was still at an intermediate level. In addition, mastery of technology plays an important role in supporting the effectiveness of group leadership in the collaborative process. Based on these findings, it is recommended to develop a more comprehensive technology-based leadership training program, in order to improve students' ability to lead groups, especially in technology-based teaching in the digital era.

Abstract

Adolescence is a time when emotional development is still not fully established, particularly for adolescents living in orphanages. These individuals often experience more vulnerable and unstable emotions compared to their peers who live at home. Therefore, it's essential to find effective ways to manage these emotions, one of which is through expressive writing using the EXPRIT approach. The implementation of this activity is designed to provide adolescents with knowledge and develop their skills in emotional management, thereby improving their mental health and teaching them how to express their thoughts and feelings more effectively. The results of this activity showed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test outcomes, as revealed by a paired sample t-test analysis. This indicates that the EXPRIT approach can be an effective method for helping adolescents at the Aisyiyah 4 Simo Boyolali orphanage manage their emotions.

Abstract

Abstract

This article analyzes the conditions and challenges of learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) in the digital era and identifies the benefits of innovation in overcoming these challenges. Digital technology has changed the way teaching is done, but challenges such as low digital literacy, limited infrastructure, and resistance to new methods still exist. Innovations such as e-learning, digital project-based learning, and interactive applications increase student engagement and access to learning resources. The literature review method shows that this innovation is effective in overcoming challenges, improving the quality and effectiveness of citizenship education and Pancasila values, responding to educational needs in the digital era. The purpose of this study is to improve students' understanding of Pancasila values and the importance of citizenship in a digital context, develop their digital skills, encourage creativity and innovation in learning, and facilitate collaborative learning, so that students can apply these principles actively and positively in facing the challenges of the digital era. Furthermore, the urgency of innovation in Civic and Pancasila Education (PPKn) in the digital era lies not only in the technical aspect of utilizing technology but also in shaping students’ character in accordance with Pancasila values. The integration of digital technology into learning enables the creation of collaborative, participatory, and contextual learning models connected to students’ real-life experiences. Through this study, it can be concluded that the success of PPKn education in the digital era largely depends on teachers’ ability to integrate technology with appropriate pedagogical approaches, while simultaneously equipping students with 21st-century skills rooted in Pancasila values.
