Abstract

Counselor performance greatly determines the quality of education. Some aspects to consider in assessing this performance are the results of supervision by the school principal, a professional attitude and good digital literacy in the counselor. Regarding this matter, the current study aimed to analyze the influence of supervision, professional attitude and digital literacy on the performance of Vocational High School or SMK counselors using regression analysis. It involved 140 counselors at SMK as the subject selected using a proportional random sampling tehcnique. Their responses were recorded using questionnaires to be the quantitative data. In addition, the questionnaires were in form of the scales of supervision, professional attitudes, digital literacy, and performance. Since the data were quantitative, the design of this study was ex post facto. After being analyzed, the findings revealed supervision, professional attitudes, and digital literacy significantly affected the performance of vocational guidance and counseling teachers. Hence, it is expected that school principals will continue to improve academic supervision, while counselors are suggested to improve professional attitudes and digital literacy.

Abstract

Secondary school level is a strategic level in which a human must improve his knowledge or insights about a future profession and career planning. Thus, the present study strived for examining the effectiveness of quick response code-based career profession cards to enhance the insights of eight graders. The students’ data were collected using a career insights scale and further analyzed using paired sample statistic test and paired sample t-test. Following the analysis, there was an effect of quick response code-based career profession cards on the improvement of eight graders career insights. Therefore, the medium of quick response code-based career profession cards needs to be utilized to enhance students’ career insights.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi dan ilmu pengetahuan yang begitu cepat di abad 21 mendorong manusia untuk berfikir dan bertindak mengikuti perkembangan zaman. Sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan harus bisa menyesuaikan keadaan agar tetap berkembang sebagai organisasi pembelajar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui (1) Model organisasi belajar dalam membangun sekolah; dan (2) Sekolah sebagai organisasi belajar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan studi literatur (literatur review) dengan teknik pengumpul data: 1) pengumpulan data berupa artikel jurnal internasional maupun nasional yang terindeks, buku, serta reverensi lain yang berhubungan dengan tujuan penelitian, 2) pemeriksaan data, 3) mengorganisasi data, dan 4) menganalisis data yang telah diperoleh. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) model organisasi belajar untuk membangun sekolah dengan mengembangkan lima displin organisasi belajar antara lain: Berfikir sistem (System Thinking), Belajar Tim (Team Learning), Model Mental (Mental Model), Pengontrolan Diri (Personal Mastery), dan Visi Bersama (Shared Vision); dan (2) Sekolah sebagai organisasi belajar dapat diwujudkan dengan empat pilar pendidikan yaitu : 1) Learning To Know, 2) Learning To Do, 3) Learning To Be, dan  4) Learning To Live Together. Membangun sekolah sebagai organisasi belajar agar sekolah dapat tumbuh dan berkembang sesuai kemajuan zaman serta dapat mengoptimalkan individu agar terus belajar secara efektif dalam menghadapi tantangan global.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital yang terus melaju membuat setiap lembaga harus berubah dan berkembang. Lembaga pendidikan sebagai salah satu yang mengalami dampak dari kemajuan digital yang pesat tersebut. Aktivitas pembelajaran, layanan administrasi, sistim informasi dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan kemajuan teknologi menggunakan berbagai platform digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji karakteristik, kapabilitas dan pilar kepemimpinan digital yang perlu dikembangkan di lembaga pendidikan. Peneliti melakukan studi literatur tentang teori terkait dan melakukan kajian mengenai teori-teori kepemimpinan, kepemimpinan pada lembaga pendidikan, karakteristik dan kapabilitas kepemimpinan digital, serta pilar-pilar atau area yang dikembangkan dalam rangka mengembangkan kepemimpinan digital pada lembaga pendidikan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan karakteristik kepemimpinan digital, yakni: visi digital, perilaku digital, keahlian digital dan pola pikir digital perlu diimplementasikan dengan baik; kapabilitas kepemimpinan digital yakni kemampuan memimpin lembaga pendidikan dengan memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru, tenaga kependidikan, dan siapapun yang terlibat di dalamnya perlu dikembangkan; dan pilar-pilar kepemimpinan digital pada lembaga pendidikan perlu ditegakkan dalam rangka mencapai tujuan universal pendidikan.

Abstract

Di era digital saat ini, menjadi tantangan bagi perkembangan ilmu komunikasi untuk terus dapat beradaptasi. Adaptasi tidak hanya sebatas menggunakan teknologi berbasis digital tetapi juga memiliki kompetensi literasi digital. Kompetensi literasi digital juga termasuk ke dalam elemen dasar digital citizenship. Pergeseran pandangan akademisi terhadap digital citizenship mulai berkembang. Hal ini didasari berbagai analisis terhadap implementasi digital citizenship mahasiswa diperguruan tinggi. Kajian literature ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penanaman nilai-nilai digital citizenship yang dapat dilakukan oleh perguruan tinggi dalam membangun komunikasi kebangsaan mahasiswa ilmu komunikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penanaman nilai-nilai digital citizenship dapat dilakukan oleh perguruan tinggi sebagai inovasi pada proses komunikasi pembelajaran. Selain itu, nilai-nilai digital citizenship juga dapat menjadi pedoman bagi mahasiswa untuk menjadi warga negara digital yang baik. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penanaman nilai-nilai digital citizenship dapat dijadikan sebagai proses difusi inovasi pada ilmu komunikasi untuk membangun komunikasi kebangsaan. Penelitian ini memiliki keterbatasan pada metode penelitian. Penelitian dimasa yang akan dating diharapkan dapat menganalisis kompetensi digital citizenship mahasiswa untuk selanjutnya dijadikan sebagai bahan analisis kebutuhan dalam mengembangkan model pembelajaran berbasis digital citizensip.

Abstract

Psychological well-being is an important component for adolescents. This research examined the influence of gratitude training to enhance the psychological well-being of adolescents with single parents at a Junior High School. This research applied a true experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects were taken randomly and consisted of 24 adolescents with single parents. The subjects were then grouped into experimental and control groups, each consisting of 12 individuals. The experimental group received the gratitude training, consisting of 6 sessions. The psychological well-being scale for Indonesian adolescents aged between 12 and 15 was used to collect the data. ANOVA mixed design with SPSS 25 for Windows was applied to analyze the data. The result shows a significant interaction between the group and test, indicating the changes between the experiment and control groups significantly differ from pretest to posttest. Based on post hoc analysis, there is a significant mean difference in psychological well-being in the experimental group, with the mean of the pretest being lower than in the posttest. Therefore, gratitude training enhances the psychological well-being of adolescents with single parents. Adolescents need to apply gratitude to their daily activities to enhance their psychological well-being.

Abstract

This article discusses the transformation of the educational landscape due to innovation and technology in the digital era. Presents an analysis of the use of new learning models to improve teacher competency in the digital era, as well as challenges and solutions in adopting innovative learning, especially in Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) subjects. Through a literature review method, this article identifies innovative strategies, required teacher competencies, and challenges faced, such as lack of resources and technology skills. The results emphasize the importance of increasing teacher competency, technology integration, and collaborative support to create innovative learning environments in the digital era.

Abstract

Phubbing merupakan perilaku yang melibatkan pengabaian interaksi sosial demi penggunaan smartphone, fenomena ini kian marak di kalangan remaja. Berdasarkan data, sebagian besar anak-anak dan remaja di Indonesia memiliki akses dan menggunakan internet secara aktif. Penelitian ini mengkaji penyebab, dampak serta penanganan phubbing melalui literatur review dari peneliti terdahulu yang membahas terkait tema yang serupa. Adiksi media sosial, kecanduan smartphone, kontrol diri yang rendah, serta kecenderungan merasa bosan (boredom proneness) menjadi faktor utama yang memicu perilaku phubbing. Dampak dari perilaku phubbing terhadap remaja sangat signifikan, terutama dalam hal penurunan kualitas komunikasi dan interaksi sosial. Penanganan phubbing memerlukan pendekatan yang komprehensif dan berbasis kebutuhan individu. Berbagai metode seperti intervensi berbasis mindfulness, psikoedukasi, serta terapi perilaku kognitif (CBT) terbukti efektif dalam mengurangi perilaku phubbing dan meningkatkan keterhubungan sosial. Melalui pemahaman faktor penyebab, dampak maupun penanganan diharapkan perilaku phubbing dapat diminimalisir, sehingga remaja dapat kembali menjalin interaksi sosial yang sehat dan bermakna dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Currently, there is an interesting phenomenon related to the development and enthusiasm for prospering mosques in Indonesia. Not only related to the development of their numbers, the development of their building designs, but also related to the development of their organizations and management. The current trend in mosque management shows more professional mosque management, mosques are no longer just places of prayer, but many mosque organizations are trying to restore the function of mosques as in the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, as a place of worship that can also play a role and function as a place of education and social community. This research was conducted using a qualitative research method with a literature review approach or with a library research type. This research utilizes literature (library) in the form of journals, proceedings, and books. The main focus of this research is to analyze and describe how to develop mosque management into a learning organization from the perspective of Marquardt's theory, namely a systems learning organization model that includes learning, organization, humans, knowledge, and technology. From various information related to the profile, programs, and activities of mosques in Indonesia, it can be seen that many mosques have become learning organizations. Marquardt's theory on the learning organization system model can be a framework for mosque organizations in developing mosques as learning organizations whose members have a strong and collective desire to learn continuously to improve themselves and their organization for mutual success.

Abstract

Psychological well-being (PWB) is important for prisoners, considering that they lead different lives and become increasingly depressed by being labeled as criminals by society. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of group counseling using a Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) approach to improve prisoners' PWB. A quasi-experimental design was employed, with repeated measurements (pre-test, post-test, and follow-up). The subjects were 14 Class II A prisoners in Pekalongan, Indonesia, prison, with seven inmates in the experimental group and seven in the control group. They were selected using the purposive sampling technique based on inclusion criteria and low PWB levels obtained from the psychological well-being scale. The study results indicate that group counseling using the SFBT approach is effective in increasing the PWB of prisoner’s pre-test vs. post-test (MD = -64.857, SE = 3.749, p<.05), and post-test vs. follow-up (MD = -71.571, SE = 3.479, p <.05). The study findings could be used as consideration, reference, and an alternative for counselors to use the SFBT approach in dealing with problems related to psychology, especially PWB.
