Abstract

This research is title “Test Development and Analysis of First Grade Senior High School Final Examination in chemistry Based on Classical Test Theory and Item Response Theory”. This research is conducted to develop a standard test instrument for final examination in senior high school at first grade using analysis based on classical test theory and item response theory. The test is a multiple choice test which consists of 75 items. Each item has five options. The research method is research and development method to get a product of test items which fulfill item criterion such as validity, reliability, item discrimination, item difficulty and distracting options quality based on classical test theory and validity, reliability, item discrimination, item difficulty and pseudo-guessing based on item response theory. The three parameter item response theory model is used in this research. Research and development method is conducted until preliminary field test to 102 first grade students in senior high school. Based on the research result, the test fulfills criterion as a good instrument based on classical test theory and item response theory. The final examination test items have vary of item quality so that some of them need a revision to make them better either for the stem and the options. From the total of 75 test items, 21 test items are declined and 54 test items are accepted.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini berjudul “Pengembangan Penilaian Keterampilan Proses Sains Berbasis Kelas pada Pembelajaran Kimia”. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh instrumen penilaian berbasis kelas yang dapat mengukur keterampilan proses yang dimiliki oleh peserta didik dalam pembelajaran kimia serta memperoleh tes tertulis yang memenuhi kriteria penilaian yang baik melalui uji reliabilitas, uji validitas, analisis taraf kesukaran, dan daya pembeda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan desain penelitian adalah pre-experimental designs one-shot case study. Penelitian dilakukan di salah satu SMA Negeri di kota Bogor dengan sampel penelitian kelas XI IPA 2 sebanyak 36 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah berupa tes keterampilan proses (tertulis), Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS), dan lembar observasi siswa serta pedoman wawancara dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tes keterampilan proses yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria tes yang baik berdasarkan validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, dan daya pembeda. Namun, Proporsi tingkat kesukarannya tidak tersebar secara normal karena tidak adanya soal tes yang sukar. Soal-soal dalam Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) yang dikembangkan belum semuanya memiliki validitas yang baik. Berdasarkan respon peserta didik, penilaian yang dikembangkan memenuhi prinsip-prinsip penilaian berbasis kelas yaitu valid, mendidik, berkesinambungan, dan menyeluruh.ABSTRACTThis research’s title is "Pengembangan Penilaian Keterampilan Proses Sains Berbasis Kelas pada Pembelajaran Kimia". The purpose of this research is to acquire instrument of classroom-based assessment which can measure process skill’s students in study of chemistry, and procures the written test which complies assessment criterion by reliability test, validity test, difficulty index, and discriminating index. This research’s method is research and development with research design is preexperimental designs one-shot case study. This Research was done at one of a high school in Bogor with the research’s sample of class XI IPA 2 with 36 students. Instrument was used as process skill test (written), worksheet, observation sheet of student, and guidance of interview and questionnaire. The result of this research indicated that the process skill test’s developed has fulfilled good test criterion which based on validity, reliability, level of difficulty, and discriminating index. But, its proportion level of the difficulty index didn’t spread over normally because inexistence of tickler. Worksheet what developed altogether hasn’t good validity. Based on students response, the assessment’s developed has complied classroom-based assessment principles that is valid, educates, continual, and totally.

Abstract

This research had been conducted to find study program which can increase ability of chemistry prospective teachers for doing assessment chemistry learning. Research process is held in LPTK in Bandung by 52 teacher candidates at validation test and 112 teacher candidates at implementation test. Design research and development is applied with four phases. Those were 1) preliminary study; 2) program planning; 3) program validation; and 4) program implementation. Data collected through test of the chemistry education evaluation theory, prospective teachers' activity, and exercises. Data was collected using test, observation sheet, portfolio, questionnaire and field note. Data analysis used descriptive statistics of normalized gain score by t test. The research produced an inquiry based chemistry education evaluation program (PEPKBI). The program was consist of design, implementation and evaluation of learning Chemistry components. Results of research indicated that PEPKBI program was effective to increase score of the evaluation of chemistry learning theory ( = 0,462).

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen penilaian kelas pada pembelajaran hidrokarbon. Instrumen yang dikembangkan terdiri dari pengamatan kinerja 13 indikator kinerja, laporan diri sebanyak 32 poin pernyataan dan tes tertulis 15 tes pilihan ganda butir dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan untuk memperoleh produk dalam bentuk instrumen penilaian kelas yang memiliki kualitas baik dilihat dari validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen serta analisis subjek tes untuk instrumen tes tertulis. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, hasil akhir dari instrumen yang telah dikembangkan sebagai instrumen yang memenuhi kriteria baik mengenai validitas teoritis dan empiris dan keandalan yang tinggi pula. Untuk menguji instrumen selain validitas dan reliabilitas juga dilihat dari analisis subjek tes yang menunjukkan instrumen tes tertulis memenuhi syarat sebagai instrumen yang baik. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berguna bagi para guru, dengan harapan instrumen yang dihasilkan dari penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai instrumen dalam pelaksanaan penilaian kelas pada pembelajaran hidrokarbon dan digunakan sebagai model untuk mengembangkan instrumen sejenis untuk kegiatan belajar yang berbeda.ABSTRACTThis research was conducted with the aim to develop classroom assessment instrument on learning hydrocarbons. Instruments developed in this study were the observation of the performance of 13 performance indicators, self-report as many as 32 points statement and a written test of 15 multiple-choice test of basic grains. The method used in this study was the method of research and development to obtain a product in the form of classroom assessment instruments that have good quality views of the validity and reliability of instruments and analysis of test subject for the written test instruments. Based on research that has been done, the end result of that instrument has been developed as an instrument that meets the criteria regarding both the theoretical and empirical validity and reliability of high anyway. To test instruments in addition to views of the validity and reliability were also seen from analysis of the test subject that shows the written test instrument qualifies as a good instrument. The results of this study is expected to be useful for teachers, with the hope of the instrument resulting from this study can be used as an instrument in the implementation of classroom assessment on the learning of hydrocarbons and used as a model to develop similar instruments for different learning activities.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to develop and validate a test of students’ critical and creative thinking skills on enzyme. This study was conducted using development and validation methods through six steps, i.e. (1) defining the construct and formulating objectives, (2) formatting items, (3) constructing items, (4) creating a scoring guide, (5) Judging items by experts, and (6) calculating validity, reliability, level of difficulty and discrimination by empirical study. This test was constructed two-tier test, which consists of the first tier as a multiple choice and the second tier as the reason from the first tier option. The participants were 61 undergraduate chemistry students who studied enzyme in a chemistry department. The results showed that item CVI value was 0.86 and item Cronbachs’ Alpha value was 0.843 (very high category). Item difficulty index (P) was 0.501, and Item discrimination index (D) was 0.328 which showed that the level of difficulty item in the medium category and level of discrimination in the good category. Out of initial 14 items, 3 items were excluded after the analysis of CVI, item difficulty index and item discrimination index. The revised 11-item test was found to have sufficient validity, reliability, item difficulty index and item discrimination index to measurement of enzyme concept mastery, critical thinking skills, and creative thinking skills.

Abstract

This study described the implementation of STEM-based science learning and performance assessment to the improvement of students’ thinking skill in Aceh, Indonesia. The purposive sampling technique was employed in this descriptive research. The respondents were 300 students at grade 11th academic year 2019/2020 which representing five public high schools in Aceh, Indonesia. The instruments used to measure the effectiveness of the implementation of STEM-based science learning were the rubric of habits of mind, observation sheets of performance assessments, and questionnaires. The finding presented the implementation of STEM-based science learning was able to habituate and develop students' habits of mind with an average score of 0.71 which included into high category. The average value of the overall STEM-based science learning implementation for the formation of habits of mind is 95.98% which categorized as good. It can be concluded that there is the success of researchers in implementing STEM-based science learning to form students' habits of mind.

Abstract

Descriptive studies have been conducted on the existing junior high profile in West Java on Education Learning Environment. The study was conducted by purposive sampling and descriptive done to get an idea about the profile of SMP in West Java implementation of the learning environment. in junior high school in West Java. Research conducted by distributing questionnaires, and observations based on the indicators developed. Based on this research, it is known that, PLH learning in junior high school in West Java has been in force since 2007 after the enactment of the Governor of West Java on environmental education for junior high school students in West Java. Learning that lasts generally implemented in conventional teacher, and it is without any innovations. It has made learning the essential condition runs well, but has not lasted optimally.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was developing and validation virtual test based multiple representations to facilitate students to understand the questions that assess students’ decision-making competence of buffer solution. This research was conducted using the method development and validation. The participants were 136 high school students who take science class. Data obtained were content validity, reliability, item difficulty index, discrimination index and readability of virtual test that has developed. This study also compared the item difficulty and readability between virtual test and paper and pencil test. The results showed that the virtual test had CVI’s value was 0.71, the Cronbach's Alpha value was 0.925 which was showed that the reliability with included in “very good” category, the item difficulty index was moderate categories and the readability of virtual test was higher than paper and pencil test. It could be concluded that the virtual test that had developed was feasible to use and could facilitate students in understanding the questions that assess students’ decision-making competence of buffer solution.

Abstract

Abad 21 menuntut siswa untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir, salah satunya adalah keterampilan berpikir kreatif. Hasil studi TIMSS dan PISA menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir siswa masih rendah terutama untuk daerah Aceh. Salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kreatif adalah pendekatan pembelajaran STEM. Hal tersebut efektif jika didukung dengan pengembangan bahan ajar berupa LKS. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan LKS dengan pendekatan STEM untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model ADDIE yang memuat tujuh langkah penelitian. Pengembangan LKS diawali dengan analisis kebutuhan. Selanjutnya tahap perencanaan kemudian dilakukan pengembangan produk berupa LKS. Agar LKS yang telah dikembangkan tervalidasi dengan baik, maka dilakukan uji validitas produk dari segi isi, konstruk, dan keterbacaan menggunakan instrument angket. Hasil rerata nilai validitas isi sebesar dan validitas konstruk masuk kategori baik, serta keterbacaan produk masuk kategori sangat baik, sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa LKS layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Ujicoba lapangan terhadap pengguna dilakukan untuk mengetahui efektivitas produk dengan instrumen tes dan respon pengguna dengan instrumen angket. Hasil respon guru masuk kategori baik dan hasil respon siswa masuk kategori sangat baik. Hasil uji efektivitas diketahui bahwa rerata nilai posttest lebih besar dari rerata nilai pretest dan nilai n-gain kelas eksperimen lebih besar dari kelas kontrol. Keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa juga mengalami peningkatan untuk setiap indikator berpikir kreatif. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan yakni LKS dengan pendekatan STEM telah efektif dalam melatih keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran berbasis masalah pada konsep hidrolisis garam pada keterampilan berargumentasi siswa kelas XI. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group pretest posttest dengan subjek 30 siswa di sebuah Sekolah Menengah Atas di Kabupaten Subang pada tahun ajaran 2011/2012. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar kerja siswa; soal pretes dan postes untuk keterampilan berargumentasi; lembar observasi pembelajaran berbasis masalah untuk guru dan siswa; serta lembar kuisioner dan wawancara untuk mengetahui respon terhadap pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang diterapkan. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan penerapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berargumentasi siswa pada konsep hidrolisis garam, dengan perolehan nilai N-Gain g sebesar 0,51 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Secara umum, pendapat siswa terhadap pembelajaran berbasis masalah adalah setuju.Kata kunci: pembelajaran berbasis masalah, keterampilan berargumentasi, konsep hidrolisis garam
