Abstract

The study aims to develop a four-tier diagnostic test that can be used to identify students' misconceptions in wave and optical material. This research is developing research using the Plomp development model that was elaborated by the procedure for developing a four-tier diagnostic test by Pesman and Eryilmaz. The study was conducted in three junior high schools located in the Lembang sub-district in class VIII students. The instruments used were expert validation sheets, identification sheets of alternative concepts for students, and empirical validation instruments. Data analysis used is quantitative analysis by looking at the quality of the items. The results of the study showed that the content validity test obtained a CVI value of 0,848 which meant that the criteria were very suitable. The empirical validity test obtained the value of MNSQ outfit 1,00 and ZSTD outfit -0.0 which meant that it was included in the criteria of accepted values. While Point Measure Correlation, the whole item is included in the predetermined range. Item reliability is 0.93 and the alpha cronbach value of 0.85 also shows that the instrument developed has good reliability. The value of person Measure -0.29 < logit 0.0 indicates that the level of difficulty of the question includes a very good category. Overall, it can be concluded that the four-tier diagnostic test developed has met the criteria and is declared feasible to be used to identify students' misconceptions in wave and optical material

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap kepercayaan diri siswa.Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN 24 Kabupaten Tangerang pada bulan Januari-Juni 2013. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen, subyek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 77 siswa, dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok: yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Desain penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah nonequivalent control group design.Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket kepercayaan diri siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kepercayaan diri siswa untuk kelompok eksperimen (rata-rata N-Gain = 0,07) lebih rendah daripada kelompok kontrol (rata-rata N-Gain= 0,15). Setelah dilakukan uji Mann-Whitney (pada taraf signifikansi 95%) diperoleh nilai α sebesar  0,212> 0,05. Maka dapat disimpulkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara rata-rata kepercayaan diri siswa kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol.Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa pada konsep asam basa, tetapi tidak signifikan secara statistik.

Abstract

Pengembangan Tes Pilihan Ganda Piktorial untuk Mengukur Penguasaan Pengetahuan Faktual, Konseptual, dan Prosedural Siswa SMA pada Materi Kelarutan dan Hasil Kali Kelarutan.Penelitian yang dilakukan mengenai pengembangan tes pilihan ganda piktorial untuk mengukur penguasaan pengetahuan faktual, konseptual, dan prosedural siswa SMA pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Majalengka dengan subjek penelitian berjumlah 74 siswa SMA yang telah mempelajari materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan sebuah instrumen tes pilihan ganda piktorialyang memenuhi kriteria dilihat dari segi validitas isi, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, dan daya pembeda yang dapat digunakan untuk mengukur penguasaan pengetahuan faktual, konseptual, dan prosedural siswa SMA pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena belum tersedia alat evaluasi yang menunjang implementasi kurikulum 2013 untuk mengukur penguasaan pengetahuan faktual, konseptual, maupun prosedural pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Pengembangan dan Validasi. Pada penelitian ini, butir soal yang dikembangkan sebanyak 29 butir soal. Berdasarkan uji validitas isi dengan CVR, diperoleh 21 butir soal yang memenuhi kriteria validitas isi. Berdasarkan reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, dan daya pembeda, butir soal yang dikembangkan memiliki nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0,721 yang masuk kriteria bagus, sebagian besar soal memiliki tingkat kesukaran yang masuk kriteria sedang, dan sebagian besar soal memiliki daya pembeda yang masuk kriteria cukup.Butir soal yang dikembangkan mampu digunakan untuk mengukur penguasaan pengetahuan faktual, pengetahuan konseptual, dan pengetahuan prosedural. Hasil angket terhadap siswa menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa menunjukkan respon positif terhadap penggunaan tes piktorial.

Abstract

The development and study had been done to determine misconceptions profile of class X high school students in Kuningan West Java on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions using descriptive methods. The instrument used was a pictorial-based two-tier multiple choices diagnostic test consisted 18 questions. The instrument had been tested for its feasibility with the CVR and CVI values was one, and the Cronbach's Alpha (reliability) value for the whole item was 0.706. The items were applied to class X students in schools with high, medium and low category. Based on the results of the application, the most common misconceptions of students on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions was that when dissolved in water, ionic compounds would be ionized into ions, oxygen atom in water molecule interacted with anions and hydrogen atoms in water molecule interacted with cations (37.78%). The misconceptions of class X high school students on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution in high and low category schools in  Kuningan had a significant difference. Based on the one-way ANAVA test, the significance level < 0.05, there was 0.045. The misconception of class X high school students in Kuningan on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions based on gender differences did not have a significant difference. Based on results of t test, the significance level > 0.05, there was 0.755.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji keefektifan bermain peran dalam mengoptimalkan percaya diri calon guru PAUD. Percaya diri menjadi aspek penting bagi mahasiswa calon guru PAUD dengan memberikan stimulus melalui bermain peran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode single case experiment, analisis statistika deskriptif pada implementasi main peran dalam proses pembelajaran kelompok belajar 5 orang mahasiswa pada pendidikan calon guru di Kota Tasikmalaya yang dilakukan setiap satu minggu sekali, sebanyak 9 pertemuan. Intervensi dilakukan oleh 2 orang fasilitator. Hasil penelitian secara umum melaporkan bahwa partisipasi lima orang mahasiswa dalam aktivitas bermain peran memiliki kategori sangat baik, begitupun dengan keadaan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa dengan kondisi sangat baik. Tingkat keefektifan ditunjukkan oleh selisih persentase peningkatan pada partisipasi dan kepercayan diri masing-masing mahasiswa calon guru PAUD yakni MH1 awal memiliki kepercayaan diri kategori kurang menjadi kategori sangat baik; MH2 memiliki kategori cukup menjadi kategori sangat baik; MH3 memiliki kategori cukup menjadi kategori sangat baik; MH4 memiliki kategori cukup menjadi kategori sangat baik; MH5 skor kategori cukup menjadi kategori sangat baik. Kesimpulan berdasarkan peningkatan skor kepercayaan diri mahasiswa tersebut, metode bermain peran ini layak dijadikan sebagai intervensi optimalisasi pembelajaran mahasiwa dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan dirinya. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of role playing in optimizing the confidence of prospective Early Childhood Teachers. Confidence is an important aspect for prospective early childhood teacher because it is needed when they become real teachers. This study is a single case experiment which implement role playing in the learning process of a study group of 5 students in the education of prospective teachers in the City of Tasikmalaya. The role-playing implementation was carried out once a week by two facilitators, as many as 9 meetings. The gathered data was analysed using descriptive statistical analysis. The findings showed that generally the participation of five students in role-playing activities was in a very good category, as well as the state of student self-confidence in very good condition. The level of effectiveness was indicated by the difference in percentage increase in participation and confidence of each early childhood teacher candidates i.e. at the beginning, MH1 was less confidence but after the completion of role playing implementation process he showed to be on the excellent category. Based on the results, it can be concluded that role playing method can be used as an intervention to optimize student learning in improving their confidence.

Abstract

Recent learning activity is tend to be implemented by guided experiment and there is an absence of further assessment. The aim of this study is to implement the performance assessment through the virtual laboratory to improve college students’ creative thinking skills. This quantitative descriptive research used quasi experimental research method with one shot case study research design. The sample of this research was the college students on academic year 2018/2019 which totally amount 27 students. The performance assessment data was collected by observation instrument which applied during the preparation, implementation, and the presentation of experiment result stages of virtual laboratory learning. The result of the study showed the implementation of assessment on the presentation of experiment result stage for the whole learning materials is higher than in the preparation and implementation stage with the average score of presentation of experiment result is 88.3%. The implementation of performance assessment through the virtual laboratory showed the improvement on each indicator in college students’ creative thinking skills. The highest score was the evaluation indicator with the value of 0.69. It can be concluded that the implementation of performance assessment through the virtual laboratory is able to improve college students’ creative thinking skills, especially at the evaluation indicator

Abstract

In today's digital environment, using technology in learning is a requirement for staying relevant to the needs of the twenty-first century. The goal of this study is to develop learning tools that combine Project-based learning (PjBL) with STEM-based e-learning to assist students enhance their creative thinking skills and self-regulation. This study is a quantitative descriptive study using a one-shot case study research design and a research sample of 25 high school students in class for the academic year 2020/2021. The N-Gain score is used to collect data using test and non-test instruments before and after treatment to assess if there is an improvement in learning outcomes. All indicators of critical thinking skills and self-regulation increased as a result of the study. On the fluency indicator, the creative thinking skills indicator received the highest score of 0.86, while self-regulation received the biggest rise on the organizing and transforming indicator with a score of 0.83. Abstract

This study was aimed to develop a Three-Tier Diagnostic Test instrument to identify students' alternative conceptions about Food Chain Feeding Relationships. This instrument was developed based on stages of development proposed by Treagust. This study involved 102 students of grade VII. There were 4 students included in the interview, 28 students answered the open-ended questions, and 70 students were involved in the implementation of instrument developed. The instrument items' content was then validated by five expert judgment. The analysis showed that the Content Validity Ratio and Content Validity Index value for nine items was 1, while an item acquired 0.6 value. This indicated that Food Chain Feeding Relationships Diagnostic Instrument (FCFRDI) is valid and feasible to be tested on students. The test result data were analyzed using the Rasch Model to determine the item fit and reliability. The difference between item reliability value and the person reliability demonstrated a significant result, which means that the instrument developed has good item quality. Overall, it can be concluded that the FCFRDI developed has met the content and empirical validity so that it can be used to identify students misconceptions.

Abstract

Implementation of learning can not be separated from the assessment activities. Performance assesment on chemical subjects are necessary to assess students' cognitive and psychomotor aspects. The purpose of this study is to produce a performance assesmen instrument that assesses the cognitive and psychomotor competence of a quality and tested titration practice of vinegar acids, in students of Class XI SMA. The research method used is Research and Development (R & D), which consists of (1) development stage of instrument making (2) validation and limited testing phase, and (3) application stage in the form of implementation in learning. Instruments in this study include validation sheet by expert team, assessment instrument sheet in the form of task and rubric, observation sheet and interview guide sheet. This research is only at the stage of instrument development . This research is essential to assist teachers in delivering quality student performance assesment instruments and can be used for further research in developing performance assesment instruments on other chemical concept

Abstract

This study aims to apply self and peer assessment with feedback to improve the mastery of concepts and habits of mind students on the topic of acid-base titration. Selfassessment is an assessment carried out by ourselves on the progress achieved through the workings, while peer assessment visits of the ability of an individual to contribute to the task group. The method uses a quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The instrument used to collect research data is the format of self and peer assessment, a matter of mastering the concept of acid-base titration, habits of mind questionnaire, interview and questionnaire responses sisiwa. Tests mastery of the concept of acid-base titration validated by 5 experts in the field of chemistry and formed a CVR index (Content Validity Ratio) between 0.60 to 1.00. Reliability tests mastery of the concept of acidbase titration test involving 60 respondents XI MIA 4 and 5 Senior High School and processed using SPSS 22.0 produce the coefficient value of 0.75 (included in the high criteria). Further research will be done self and peer assessment with feedback to improve the mastery of concepts and habits of mind students.
