Abstract

The concept of uncharted implications of cultural globalization on gender conventions, in the forms of intergenerational and institutional shifts, is the qualitative research problem of the study. Based on the literature of management, it focuses on two issues: how the transnational impact of cultural forces rearticulates local notions of gender, especially in the younger generations, and how older generations respond negatively to changes. Based on the evidence of Indonesia urban people, the study illustrates how hybrid gender features have been developed using media circulation and transnational feminism discursive frameworks. The young people here are instruments of cultural change who rebel against the patriarchal framework and openly encourage the relaxation of gender definitions within the social and the corporate context as well. On the other hand, the older generations feel threatened by these changes in terms of social order. Gender, as a complex dynamic and negotiated construct, is presented as an issue of intersectional tension and tension, which plays an important role in managing practice, especially in human resources, workplace equity and leadership roles. The paper also ends with the recommendation that culturally sensitive management approaches that cut across generations and advocate an inclusive gender practice should be promoted. It appeals to the transformation of gender in management as an ever-changing power, as opposed to a fixed identity and requests adaptive and reflexive paradigms of organization.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the form of application of the principle of consensualism in contract agreements made by the parties and to determine what are the impacts of the application of the principle of consensualism on the protection of the rights of the parties in the agreement. This study uses a normative research method. This study uses a normative legal method that focuses on the analysis of legal norms in laws and regulations, doctrines, and court decisions. The results of this study indicate that the application of the principle of consensualism is a fundamental principle in contract law which emphasizes that an agreement is considered valid and binding on the parties since the agreement is reached. The application of the principle of consensualism also has an impact on providing space for the parties to draft agreements according to their needs, but it can also pose a risk of injustice, especially for parties who have a weak bargaining position. Therefore, effective legal protection, contract supervision, and legal education for the community are important to overcome the negative impacts of the application of the principle of consensualism. The recommendation of this study is To protect the rights of the parties in the agreement, stricter supervision of contract practices is needed, especially in situations where one party has a weaker bargaining position. The government and related institutions are advised to strengthen regulations governing minimum standards for certain agreements.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of individual income, cashless payment system utilization, and love of money on college students' financial behavior, with financial literacy as a variable strengthening this relationship. The respondents in this study were students from STIEM Bongaya. The analysis method used was Partial Least Squares (PLS) with a measurement model and structural model approach. The findings from the test indicate that individual income and financial literacy have a significant positive impact on college students' financial behavior. Conversely, cashless use and love of money do not show a significant influence on financial behavior. Furthermore, financial literacy does not function as a moderating variable in the relationship between individual income, cashless use, and love of money on financial behavior. The R-square value of 0.662 indicates that the independent and moderating variables can explain 66.2% of financial behavior, while the Q-square value of 0.541 indicates that this model has good predictive relevance. The implications of this study indicate the need to improve financial literacy among university students through well-designed educational programs to foster prudent and responsible financial attitudes. Future research is recommended to incorporate other variables, such as psychological and social factors, or the use of financial technology (fintech) to predict financial behavior.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of consumer legal protection regarding motorcycle damage and to identify the factors influencing the effectiveness of consumer legal protection regarding motorcycle damage at official Honda service centers in Makassar. This study employs an empirical legal research method using a statutory approach and a case study approach. Primary data was collected through interviews with consumers who experienced motorcycle damage, while secondary data was gathered using legislation, legal literature, and relevant reference materials on consumer protection. The research results indicate that legal protection for consumers regarding motorcycle damage is normatively regulated under Law No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection; however, its implementation has not been fully effective in practice, as there are still consumers who suffer losses due to suboptimal handling of motorcycle damage. This is influenced by several factors, namely legal factors related to the clarity of warranty regulations, factors related to technicians in handling repairs, factors related to workshop facilities and equipment, societal factors related to consumers’ understanding of vehicle conditions, as well as cultural factors that influence consumers’ attitudes and trust. The recommendations of this study are the need to increase consumer awareness of their rights and obligations regarding motorcycle use, as well as to improve the quality of work performed by technicians who directly handle repairs to consumers’ motorcycles so that consumer legal protection can be implemented more effectively

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS) productive zakat programme in alleviating poverty among mustahiq recipients in Manado, North Sulawesi, Indonesia, using the Combined Islamic Poverty Index and Spiritual Index (CIBEST) model. The CIBEST model provides a multidimensional assessment integrating both material welfare food, clothing, housing, education, and health and spiritual welfare faith (aqidah), worship (ibadah), morality (akhlak), family harmony, and religious knowledge thereby reflecting Islamic economics principles of holistic human welfare. A pre-test/post-test quasi-experimental design was employed, collecting data from 248 mustahiq recipients across four programme types: productive capital loans, skill and vocational training, business mentoring, and digital marketing assistance. Instruments were validated and reliable (Cronbach's α > 0.70). Paired t-tests and McNemar's tests were applied to assess pre-post differences. Results demonstrate that the proportion of mustahiq in the Welfare Quadrant (Q1) increased significantly from 18.4% to 47.3% (Δ = +28.9 percentage points), while the Absolute Poverty Quadrant (Q4) declined from 36.2% to 13.2% (Δ = −23.0 pp). The CIBEST Welfare Index rose from 0.41 to 0.69 overall (Cohen's d = 0.77, large effect), with digital marketing assistance producing the largest gain (IW: 0.41 → 0.73). All changes were statistically significant (p < 0.001). Spiritual welfare scores also showed consistent improvement across all indicators, with modest but meaningful gains. The findings confirm that productive zakat, when structured around Big Data-informed targeting (Latief, 2025a) and strategic management principles (Latief, 2025b), can generate substantial and measurable poverty reduction outcomes. The CIBEST model is validated as an appropriate, culturally grounded, and empirically sensitive instrument for zakat effectiveness evaluation in Indonesia.
