Abstract

This study aims to identify the most effective approaches in character education based on a review of existing literature. The main findings show that character education programmes that integrate the teaching of moral values with daily practices in the school environment tend to produce more significant impacts. In addition, collaboration between teachers, students and parents strengthens the effectiveness of such programmes through consistency of value reinforcement across different contexts. Continuous training for teachers on integrating character education in the curriculum also proved important. The study also highlights the need for continuous evaluation and adjustment to maintain the relevance and effectiveness of the programme. With a holistic, consistent and collaborative approach, character education programmes can achieve optimal results in shaping students' character.

Abstract

This research examines the impact of multisectoral synergy in improving education quality through a comprehensive literature review. This approach involves collaboration between the government, private sector and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to pool and utilise diverse resources, expertise and technology to address educational challenges. The results of the study show that inter-sectoral synergies not only contribute to improving infrastructure and enhancing the quality of teaching staff, but also introduce more interactive and contextualised learning methods. These partnership programmes are able to create learning environments that are inclusive and adaptive to local needs, and enable equitable access to education to remote areas. In conclusion, sustained collaboration between sectors is essential to achieve a comprehensive improvement in the quality of education and provide a long-term positive impact on students' future readiness

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has brought fundamental changes to the world of education, particularly through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR). This literature study aims to examine the role and impact of these three technologies in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of learning. The findings reveal that AI enables personalised learning materials, automated assessment, and real-time analysis of students' achievements, making the learning process more responsive and adaptive to individual needs. IoT creates an integrated learning environment, enabling monitoring of learning conditions, optimisation of resources, and improved access and inclusivity. Meanwhile, VR/AR provides immersive learning experiences that strengthen the understanding of abstract concepts, increase learning motivation, and support the development of students' practical skills without real risk. Despite their many potential benefits, the adoption of these three technologies also faces challenges related to infrastructure, digital literacy, data security, and human resource readiness. The integration of AI, IoT, and VR/AR has proven to be a key driver of educational innovation, but a comprehensive implementation strategy is necessary to maximise their impact on improving the quality of education in the digital age.

Abstract

Rapid technological developments have brought significant changes to children's learning patterns, behaviour, and character. Although these developments open up great opportunities to expand knowledge and skills, challenges such as moral degradation, declining independence, and exposure to negative content pose real threats. This study aims to analyse strategies for integrating Islamic values in building independence and morality in children in the digital age, using a qualitative descriptive literature review method. Data were obtained from relevant literature, including books, journal articles, and previous studies, which were then analysed using content analysis. The results of the study indicate that Islamic values—such as Amanah (trustworthiness), Tawhid (monotheism), honesty, responsibility, and Ukhuwwah (brotherhood)—play a fundamental role in shaping the character of independent and moral children amid technological advances. The effectiveness of integrating these values is greatly influenced by the involvement of parents, educational institutions, and the social environment through creative and adaptive approaches, such as the use of interactive Islamic digital media, education based on role models, and Islamic digital literacy. This study recommends collaborative strategies that leverage technology as a tool to strengthen Islamic values, enabling children to grow into a generation of intelligent, independent, and morally upright Muslims in the digital age.

Abstract

This study analyses the differences in curriculum structure and teaching methods in Islamic Religious Education at public junior high schools, private Islamic junior high schools, and modern Islamic boarding schools, as well as their impact on students' understanding of Islamic concepts. Using a descriptive-comparative qualitative literature review approach, the study compares the national Merdeka Curriculum, which focuses on the fundamentals of faith and jurisprudence, with the expansive private model, which includes Arabic memorisation and Arabic language, as well as pesantren-based mastery learning using classical Islamic texts. Teaching methods varied from conventional es in public schools, student-centred through discussion-projects in private schools, to hybrid sorogan-bandongan in Islamic boarding schools. The results show a gradation of understanding, with state schools excelling in breadth but lacking in depth, private schools integrating cognitive and affective learning, and Islamic boarding schools dominating in higher-order thinking skills, supported by a positive correlation between curriculum intensity and concept retention. A hybridised curriculum is recommended to optimise holistic Islamic literacy.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has brought significant changes to the education sector, particularly in efforts to create more personalised and adaptive learning systems. This study aims to examine the use of AI as a personal tutor in education through a literature review approach that focuses on two main aspects, namely personalisation and adaptation of learning materials based on student data analysis. Using a literature review method from various reliable academic sources, this study analyses the role of AI in understanding student learning behaviour, adjusting learning content, and providing data-based automatic feedback. The results of the study show that the application of AI tutors can improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and relevance of the learning process while expanding access to quality education. However, issues of data ethics and privacy, algorithmic bias, and digital infrastructure readiness are important challenges that need to be addressed. This study emphasises that the integration of AI in education must be oriented towards human-machine collaboration by balancing technological, pedagogical, and ethical aspects in order to create a sustainable and humanistic learning experience.

Abstract

The development of technology with the emergence of AI as a potentially transformative tool in the learning process. The research method conducted in this study uses the literature method. The results show that AI has the potential to improve learning effectiveness and encourage beter cognitive development. However, it also highlights potential challenges, including the risk of over-reliance on technology and the importance of maintaining human interaction in the educational process. Thus, while AI offers significant opportunities to enhance cognitive development in education, a balanced and ethical approach to its implementation is required

Abstract

This article analyses the changing communication patterns of society in the digital era through the perspective of the Quran, focusing on the use of social media and communication ethics. The digital era has changed the way people interact and share information, making social media the main tool of communication. This transformation brings significant benefits but also challenges in maintaining communication ethics in accordance with Islamic values. The Quran provides guidance on good communication, including verification of information, good manners, dissemination of useful content, and maintaining privacy. This analysis highlights the importance of applying Quranic principles in the use of social media to avoid the spread of false information, hatred and privacy violations. With the integration of Islamic values, users can create a more positive and harmonious communication environment. This study concludes that the changing communication patterns in the digital era require greater awareness and responsibility, but also offer opportunities to build a better digital community through the application of Quranic communication ethics

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of social media in cultural identity formation through a comprehensive literature review. Social media has become an important platform for cultural preservation and promotion, allowing individuals and communities to share and celebrate their cultural heritage with a wider audience. In addition, social media supports the creative expression of cultural identity that can strengthen a sense of belonging and pride. However, on the other hand, social media also presents challenges, such as cultural homogenisation, threats to local traditions, and reinforcement of negative stereotypes. Conflict and polarisation in online discussions can undermine harmony between cultural communities, while superficial interactions can diminish the value and sustainability of cultural practices. Therefore, users and policymakers need to critically address the role of social media to ensure it supports cultural diversity and progress.
