Abstract

Social cohesion and patterns of political behavior of the community are often related to the use of religious symbols as a tool to mobilize political interests in the dynamics of democracy in Indonesia. The tendency to visualize religion in politics can be seen in political contestation in the 2024 Indonesian Presidential Election. This phenomenon can cause social polarization and be used as a tool for identity politics. This study aims to analyze the forms of religious visualization in the 2024 Presidential Election in Indonesia. The method used is qualitative research with content analysis with the Norman Fairclough Critical Discourse Analysis approach, namely description, interpretation, and explanation of Instagram social media uploads from three presidential candidates, namely Anies Baswedan, Prabowo Subianto, and Ganjar Pranowo. The results show that the three candidates use religious symbols to build political imagery, with different intensities and approaches used. Anies Baswedan often uses religious rhetoric and Islamic and Christian symbols in his campaigns, Ganjar Pranowo emphasizes interfaith harmony, while Prabowo Subianto tends to display a visualization of nationality and diversity. These findings confirm that social media is a key tool in building a religion-based political narrative, which can contribute to the formation of public perception. This study contributes to the critical literature on politics by providing insights into how identity politics works in the digital realm and its impact on democratic practices in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Bullying is an act of intentionally hurting an individual or group verbally, physically, psychologically, or socially, with serious impacts on victims. According to data from the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) in 2024, cases of physical and psychological abuse against children increased from 7.8% in 2023 to 11.7% in 2024. In response to this, the community service team from UNSULBAR conducted an anti-bullying awareness program at SMPN 6 Wonomulyo. This activity aimed to improve students’ understanding, attitudes, and behavior in preventing and responding to bullying. The program consisted of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The awareness campaign was delivered through interactive education, short educational films, group discussions, and quizzes with prizes to encourage active participation. The material covered types of bullying (verbal, physical, relational, and cyber), the roles involved in bullying incidents, and practical ways to handle them. A total of 73 students participated in the activity, which was positively received by students and school staff. Evaluation was conducted via Q&A sessions and direct feedback from students and teachers. The results showed increased student awareness and a collective commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive school environment.

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to enhance financial literacy among Takmir (mosque administrators) and Majelis Taklim (Islamic study groups) to improve their financial management skills and accountability within the mosque. As non-profit religious organizations, mosques require proper financial governance to ensure the effective use of funds and foster public trust. The program focuses on addressing three core issues: (1) lack of awareness among mosque administrators and Majelis Taklim regarding the importance of financial accountability to the congregation; (2) limited knowledge of basic accounting principles for preparing financial reports; and (3) insufficient understanding of financial reporting as a key accountability tool. The activity began with a pre-survey to identify specific challenges faced by the target groups. A pre-test was then conducted through interviews to evaluate participants’ initial knowledge of mosque financial management. The main activities included socialization, financial literacy education, Excel-based bookkeeping training, and mentoring. A post-test was also carried out to assess improvements in participants’ understanding. The program was implemented on Saturday, March 19, 2025, from 09:30 to 16:00 WITA at the Nurul Islam Kalantubung Mosque in Sudiang, Makassar City, with 25 mosque administrators and Majelis Taklim members participating. As a result of the training, participants demonstrated enhanced knowledge of financial management, gained the ability to prepare structured financial reports using Excel, and increased transparency and accountability. This led to a boost in public trust toward the mosque's financial governance.

Abstract

Maternal death is defined as the death of a woman while pregnant or within 42 days of the termination of pregnancy, regardless of the duration or site of the pregnancy, from any cause related to or aggravated by the pregnancy or its management. Data from Jatibaru Public Health Center showed that the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage was 7 cases out of 519 deliveries in 2021, increased to 10 cases out of 494 deliveries in 2022, decreased to 7 cases out of 439 deliveries in 2023, and reached 67 cases during the period of January to May 2024. This study aims to describe the knowledge of postpartum mothers about postpartum hemorrhage in the working area of Jatibaru Public Health Center, Bima City, in 2024. This descriptive study involved a population of 67 postpartum mothers. A total of 40 respondents were selected using a simple random sampling technique based on Slovin’s formula. The results showed that most mothers were in the non-risk age group (20–35 years), accounting for 38 respondents (95%). Most had a high school to college level of education, totaling 33 respondents (82.5%). However, the majority of respondents (25 people or 62.5%) had poor knowledge about postpartum hemorrhage. Conclusion: Most postpartum mothers in the working area of Jatibaru Public Health Center had poor knowledge regarding postpartum hemorrhage, despite being in the non-risk age group and having relatively high education levels.
