Abstract

Oral and dental health is an important aspect of overall health, especially in children. However, many children still have limited knowledge and poor dental health behaviors. Dental health education, particularly toothbrushing education using animated video media, is needed to improve children’s knowledge and dental health practices. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of toothbrushing education using animated video media on the oral health knowledge of elementary school students. The method used was quantitative research with a pre-experimental design in the form of a pretest–posttest group design. The study population consisted of 418 students from SDN 62 Palisi, Maros Regency, with 120 samples selected through stratified random sampling representing grades 1–6. Data were analyzed using SPSS 20 with univariate and bivariate tests, including the Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality test, t-test, or Wilcoxon test. The results showed that toothbrushing education using animated video media was effective in improving students’ oral health knowledge, with a p-value of <0.001, indicating statistical significance at p < 0.05. The study concludes that animated video-based toothbrushing education is effective in increasing students’ knowledge. It is recommended that schools utilize animated videos in learning activities or extracurricular programs. The animated videos produced are expected to be used by teachers as learning tools and as promotional media to enhance knowledge on maintaining oral and dental health.

Abstract

Differentiated learning can foster creativity, independence, and motivation to learn in students. However, misconceptions in understanding and implementing this approach produce negative outcomes. This study analyzes misconceptions in differentiated learning among Indonesian social studies teachers, examining their forms, causes, and impacts. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, utilizing structured and open-ended interviews conducted via Google Forms, with 126 randomly selected social studies teachers across Indonesia. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. Results reveal significant misconceptions among Indonesian social studies teachers. Key findings include an overemphasis on learning styles (auditory, visual, kinesthetic) in teaching practices, uniform time allocation despite varying student abilities, and excessive reliance on group learning without considering individual student profiles, including those who prefer independent learning. These misconceptions reveal fundamental misunderstandings about the principles of differentiated instruction, underscoring the need for enhanced teacher training and professional development programs.

Abstract

Background: Angkatan Muda Muhammadiyah (AMM) memiliki peran besar dalam membantu pemerintah daerah untuk membina generasi muda yang berkualitas, mandiri dan berakhlak. Sebagai upaya membangun SDM tersebut, AMM memiliki militansi dalam menjalankan program kegiatannya. Namun, kadang terkendala pada persoalan pendanaan AMM, sehingga perlu upaya untuk membangun pendanaan melalui kegiatan wirausaha. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas berwirausaha AMM secara mandiri dan menjalin jejaring usaha sebagai sumber anggaran jalannya program yang direncanakan. Metode: Kegiatan ini terlaksana dengan dukungan kerjasama antara berbagai Ortom AMM sebagai mitra, yaitu Ikatan Pelajar Muhammadiyah (IPM), Ikatan Mahasiswa Muhammadiyah (IMM), Pemuda Muhammadiyah (PM), dan Nasyiatul Aisyiyah (NA) di Kota Parepare dengan jumlah peserta 15 orang sesuai dari masing-masing AMM. Metode yang digunakan adalah diskusi, pelatihan dan pendampingan. Untuk mengukur jalannya program maka dilakukan pre-test dan post-test. Hasil: Hasil menunjukkan sebesar 13% peserta sudah memulai wirausaha, 70% peserta menyatakan memiliki pengetahuan wirausaha, dan 72% bergabung atau memiliki jaringan wirausaha di berbagai asosiasi atau komunitas preneurship. Hasil FGD menunjukkan beberapa peserta memiliki usaha namun tidak dikelola secara serius dan menjadikan usaha sebagai sampingan. Capaian dari hasil kegiatan pelatihan adalah peserta dapat mengimplementasikan bentuk promosi melalui instagram, diantaranya adalah penjualan grosir dan eceran busana muslimah dan askesoris Makunnrai Project dan penjualan irirsan daging serta kelengkapan barbeque produk BBQ Enrekang. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan dapat membangun pola pikir dan semangat berwirausaha. Mitra dapat memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai alat promosi, serta menjadikan jaringan usaha muda sebagai wadah konsultasi dan tukar pikiran.

Abstract

Dengan menggunakan rasio likuiditas dan profitabilitas, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui analisis kinerja keuangan PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk dengan menggunakan rasio likuiditas dan profitabilitas periode 2021-2024. Data yang digunakan berasal dari laporan keuangan tahunan perusahaan yang diumumkan di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Metode deskriptif kuantitatif digunakan untuk menghitung Rasio Lancar, Rasio Cepat, Pengembalian Aset (ROA), dan Pengembalian Ekuitas (ROE). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rasio likuiditas perusahaan meningkat setiap tahunnya, yang menunjukkan kemampuan perusahaan untuk memenuhi kewajiban jangka pendek. Namun, rasio profitabilitas berfluktuasi, menurun pada tahun 2022 tetapi meningkat kembali pada tahun 2024, yang menunjukkan adanya campuran. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan penting tentang bagaimana investor dan manajemen membuat keputusan keuangan strategis.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of a critical pedagogical approach in Social Studies education in strengthening students’ ecological awareness. The research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method. Data were drawn from 27 selected scholarly publications sourced from Scopus-indexed journals and nationally accredited journals. These publications were analyzed through a conceptual literature review and qualitative content analysis to identify key themes related to critical pedagogy, Social Studies education, and ecological awareness. The findings indicate that critical pedagogy enables the meaningful integration of environmental issues into Social Studies learning by fostering contextual, dialogical, and reflective learning processes. Through the problematization of socio-ecological realities, students are encouraged to develop an understanding of the interrelationships between human activities, development policies, and their environmental impacts. This approach not only enhances cognitive understanding but also cultivates students’ critical awareness, environmental concern, and ecological responsibility. The study concludes that Social Studies learning grounded in critical pedagogy can function as a vehicle for social transformation by promoting ecological awareness. It further emphasizes the importance of shifting the Social Studies learning paradigm from memorization-oriented instruction toward meaningful, critical learning oriented to environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Rendahnya pengetahuan dan penerimaan wanita usia subur terhadap metode kontrasepsi jangka panjang menyebabkan tingginya angka kehamilan tidak direncanakan dan ketergantungan pada metode jangka pendek, yang berdampak pada kesehatan reproduksi dan beban program keluarga berencana di wilayah Gowa. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan literasi dan kesediaan wanita usia subur dalam menggunakan metode kontrasepsi jangka panjang melalui penyuluhan edukatif yang berkelanjutan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahap persiapan berupa identifikasi peserta dan penyusunan materi, penyuluhan interaktif dengan pendekatan diskusi kelompok dan demonstrasi alat kontrasepsi selama dua sesi, serta evaluasi pra dan pasca-intervensi menggunakan kuesioner pengetahuan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan skor pengetahuan sebesar 35 persen pada 30 peserta, dengan 70 persen menyatakan kesediaan menggunakan metode kontrasepsi jangka panjang pasca-edukasi. Dampak pengabdian ini terwujud dalam optimalisasi program keluarga berencana melalui peningkatan partisipasi wanita usia subur di Tempat Praktik Mandiri Bidan (TPMB), pengurangan risiko kehamilan berulang, dan pemberdayaan bidan dalam layanan mandiri.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh transformasi bisnis dan inovasi operasional terhadap kinerja keuangan PT PLN (Persero) Sektor Bakaru di era energi terbarukan. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan dukungan data laporan keuangan dan operasional periode 2020–2024, serta wawancara terbatas dengan manajemen keuangan dan teknis. Variabel yang digunakan meliputi transformasi bisnis (X₁), inovasi operasional (X₂), dan kinerja keuangan (Y). Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis rasio keuangan dan regresi linear berganda, dengan uji asumsi klasik untuk memastikan validitas model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa transformasi bisnis dan inovasi operasional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan. Transformasi bisnis melalui digitalisasi sistem, efisiensi organisasi, dan orientasi pelanggan meningkatkan nilai ROA, ROI, serta menurunkan biaya pokok produksi listrik (BPP/kWh). Inovasi operasional melalui penerapan sistem pemeliharaan berbasis CMMS dan otomatisasi pembangkit berdampak pada peningkatan efisiensi energi dan produktivitas aset. Nilai Adjusted R² sebesar 0.846 menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel tersebut menjelaskan 84,6% variasi kinerja keuangan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa keberhasilan keuangan PLN Sektor Bakaru merupakan hasil dari sinergi antara transformasi bisnis dan inovasi operasional yang diterapkan secara konsisten di tingkat operasional. Hasil ini memperkuat teori bahwa strategi digitalisasi dan inovasi teknis merupakan kunci peningkatan kinerja keuangan di sektor energi terbarukan.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of a digital civic debate platform in enhancing students’ Critical Language Awareness (CLA) and promoting democratic participation in social studies education. Employing a research and development methodology, the study adopts the ADDIE instructional design model, encompassing five systematic phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The platform developed through this process was tested and implemented among 115 undergraduate students (39 male and 76 female). The results demonstrate that the digital debate platform significantly enhances both students’ critical language awareness and their capacity for democratic engagement. The platform was validated by three experts, deemed feasible for instructional use, and demonstrated strong results in classroom implementation. Students demonstrated marked improvements across all CLA dimensions, including phonological, morphological, syntactic, semantic, communicative, and cultural awareness. The use of digital debate as a pedagogical medium not only facilitated linguistic competence but also fostered inclusive, reflective, and ethically grounded civic discourse. This study provides compelling evidence for the integration of CLA-based digital learning environments in higher education, particularly as a means to cultivate active, critical, and responsible young citizens in the digital era.

Abstract

Ferry Management at Banjar Raya Pier, Pelambuan District, West Banjarmasin This research is based on the important role of ferry management as public transportation, which is still used daily. People use ferries for various purposes such as work, trade, school, and participating in other social activities, especially in areas that are inaccessible by land transportation. The purpose of this study is to determine how the ferry is managed in Banjar Raya. Qualitative methods are used in this study, with the aim of collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The management of the ferry dock, the ship's captain, and ferry passengers at Banjar Raya Pier are the subjects of this research. The data collection techniques include direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through data reduction stages adjusted to the focus of the study, descriptive data presentation, and drawing conclusions based on field findings. To ensure the validity of the data, the researcher applies triangulation techniques. The results of the study on ferry management at the Banjar Raya Pelambuan pier, West Banjarmasin district, show that ferries continue to be an important means of crossing people and transporting goods for people living along the riverbanks. The conclusion found that ferry management plays an important role as a means of daily mobility and connecting areas separated by rivers, especially without bridges. Ferries facilitate the flow of goods and passengers, support the local economy, operate intensively from morning to night, and provide social benefits and livelihoods for the surrounding community.

Abstract

The SRA (Sekolah Ramah Anak- Child-Friendly School) Program has been implemented in Indonesia for more than a decade as a national child protection–based education program in Indonesia. This study aims to examine how the SRA program is implemented in supporting students’ well-being. Used qualitative methods, data were collected from several high schools that have officially met the SRA standards through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The participants included school principals, teachers, and students who were directly involved in the implementation of the SRA program. The findings suggest that the implementation of the SRA program in SRA-standardized schools is shaped by everyday practices that emphasize awareness, trust, and teacher role modeling. Student awareness is developed through the application of positive discipline and the involvement of students in community-based activities and social projects, which encourage responsibility and empathy. Trust among school members is fostered by creating safe spaces for students, establishing whistleblowing systems for case reporting, and applying humane and non-punitive approaches in handling student-related issues without public shaming. Furthermore, teachers are perceived as central figures in SRA implementation by maintaining close relationships with students, demonstrating discipline, and modeling positive norms and behaviors in daily school life. These practices collectively contribute to the creation of a supportive school climate that enables students to feel safe, respected, and emotionally comfortable, thereby supporting student well-being within the SRA program.
