Abstract

Natural resources and the strategic position of Indonesia in a cross position shipping lanes of the world contributed to having a great economic potential but also gives a serious impact threat. For that, it is needed a strong national defense in order to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Indonesia. The overall defense system, involving the entire nation must be nurtured as directed. The national industry as one of the supporting components in the country's defense system should be controlled by domestic industry management, including the national industry in the sector of maritime transport means. Government's attention that supports the growth of maritime transport means is a great opportunity to boost the national economy as well as the preparations for war situations. Amid the possibilities and constraints, this study investigated the strategy for the control of the maritime industry to strengthen the country's defense. Mixed method research descriptive qualitative and quantitative SWOT analysis was used to investigate it. The study found that the strategy for the control of the maritime industry is to carry out the construction of port facilities, the construction of a fleet of ships made in the country, the formation of qualified human resources, to improve its management, ensure the availability of the main spare parts and improve shipbuilding capability, to optimize the benefits of sabotage principle to resolve banking policy which is still not very profitable to the industries.

Abstract

In elementary schools, differentiated learning is crucial as this phase is a critical period for establishing fundamental learning and child development. Differentiated learning aims not only to improve academic outcomes but also to develop students' social and emotional skills. The findings are expected to offer concrete recommendations for developing more effective teacher training programs and educational policies that support differentiated learning, enhancing education quality and student learning outcomes in elementary schools. This study evaluates elementary school teachers' competencies in implementing differentiated learning in Surakarta. A survey research design was used to collect data on teachers' abilities to plan, implement, and evaluate differentiated learning. Using a quantitative approach, the study involved 214 teachers randomly selected from various elementary schools in Surakarta. The distributed questionnaire collected data on knowledge, skills, and differentiated learning practices. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis with SPSS software. The results reveal variation in teacher competencies, with strengths primarily in using differentiated learning media and practice reflection, while the greatest challenges are in assessing student learning progress and implementing strategies. These findings highlight the need for additional training and support to enhance the effectiveness of differentiated learning implementation in elementary schools.

Abstract

Formative assessment is a learning assessment whose target is formative and aims to evaluate the learning process. In reality, there are still many teachers who have not implemented formative assessment optimally in science learning. Formative assessments conducted in the middle, end, or throughout learning aim to determine student progress while providing quick feedback to teachers, for example regarding student understanding of the material. This study aims to find out the things that educators need to prepare and how they carry it out. The research method used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, through distributing questionnaires and interviews. The target respondents were elementary school teachers who teach grade VI students. The data that has been collected is then processed using a Likert scale. The results showed that what needs to be prepared by teachers to conduct formative assessment in science subjects is a clear understanding of concepts, and prepare the three stages of formative assessment carefully. Based on the results of the questionnaire, teachers are still not optimal in the information-gathering and action-taking stages. Ways that can be done to implement formative assessment in improving the quality of learning, can be started from the preparation of the right learning module.

Abstract

The image of tolerance at SDN Pajang Surakarta is demonstrated through the existence of harmony in the school environment, despite differences in ethnicity, religion, and ability. The entire school community demonstrates mutual respect and tolerance so that peace can be created. The objectives of this study are to describe the implementation of measures to promote tolerant attitudes in students, and to promote tolerant attitudes in students through learning activities at school. This study uses a qualitative research methodology, collecting data through observations, interviews, and document analysis.  Results of this study indicate that the implementation of promoting social attitudes is done through integrating the concept of tolerance, the value of tolerance in the learning process, and through extracurricular activities as well as through projects to strengthen the profile of Pancasila Students (P5). The school's socially tolerant attitude promotes peace in the school environment and an attitude of mutual respect and awareness. The researcher concluded that the implementation of fostering an attitude of tolerance in the Merdeka curriculum on the learning process has been carried out well through integrated learning, extra-curricular activities carried out outside of class time, and Pancasila student strengthening project activities (P5).

Abstract

Fenofibrate is a third-generation fibric acid derivative included in BCS (biopharmaceutical classification system) class II, namely high permeability, low solubility. This research aims to obtain the optimum formula for miglyol oil, cremophor RH 40 and PEG 400 according to characterization tests of emulsification time, % transmittance, drug loading, globule size, and zeta potential. This research is an experimental study by formulating fenofibrate in the form of SNEDDS, which was made in 16 formulas using the D-optimal method, which was formulated in the form of SNEDDS with the composition miglyol, cremophor RH 40 and PEG 400 and characterization tests were carried out for emulsification time, % transmittance, drug loading, size. globules, zeta potential to obtain the optimum formula, and then analyzed using the one sample T-Test. The optimization results obtained the optimum formula, namely miglyol at 4%; cremophor RH 40 is 5%, and PEG 400 at 1%. Characterization test: emulsification time was 24 seconds, Transmittance % was 98.7%, Drug loading was 181 mg, globule size was 126 nm, and zeta potential of 12.26 mV. The dissolution test of the fenofibrate capsule dissolved 57.05%, while the fenofibrate SNEDDS capsule was 64.86%. This means that the dissolution of the optimum formula for SNEDDS fenofibrate is better than pure fenofibrate.

Abstract

Mefenamic acid is included in BCS (biopharmaceutical classification system) class II, namely high permeability and low solubility. This research aims to obtain a good formula for oleic acid oil, tween 80, and PEG 400 according to the characterization test of emulsification time, % transmittance, drug loading, globule size, and zeta potential. This research was an experimental study by formulating mefenamic acid in the form of SNEDDS which was made 1 formula was made in the form of SNEDDS with the composition of oleic acid, tween 80, and PEG 400 and characterization tests were carried out for emulsification time, % transmittance, drug loading, globule size, zeta potential. The yield of the oleic acid formula is 1%, tween 80 is 8%, and PEG 400 is 1%. The emulsification time characterization test resulted in 17 seconds, % transmittance of 97%, drug loading of 179.81 mg, globular size of 85.8 nm and zeta potential of -1.6 mV.

Abstract

This study investigates the challenges and strategies employed by English teachers in rural junior high schools in Tanjung Jabung Timur, Indonesia, particularly in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum. As English becomes increasingly important as a global lingua franca, its role as a foreign language (EFL) in Indonesia's education system is crucial. The research utilized a qualitative, phenomenological design, focusing on three schools: SMPN 9 Tanjung Jabung Timur, SMPN 2 Tanjung Jabung Timur, and MTsN 02 Tanjung Jabung Timur. Researchers collected data through classroom observations and in-depth interviews with English teachers, ensuring data reliability using trustworthiness techniques. Researchers used the Miles and Huberman approach for data analysis, uncovering patterns and strategies employed by teachers in rural settings. Professional development remains a significant challenge, with formal training opportunities being scarce. Teachers often use self-directed learning, informal networks, and online resources to meet professional demands. The study calls for more targeted interventions to support rural teachers, foster greater parental involvement, and improve educational infrastructure. Recommendations emphasize reducing disparities between rural and urban education to create a more inclusive and equitable system in Indonesia
