Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of digital literacy on students' argumentation skills in junior high school on vibration, wave and light materials. The method used in this research is a qualitative method, with the type of research using an initial study obtained by interview, the subjects and samples of this study were science teachers at Muaro Jambi State 1 Junior High School and Muaro Jambi State 33 Junior High School, the sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling technique, the instrument used was an interview with 20 questions, the data analysis used was Mile and Huberman analysis. Based on the research that has been done, the results show that digital literacy can improve students' argumentation skills. So the conclusion of this study is that digital literacy has an influence on students' argumentation skills.

Abstract

Purpose of the Study: This study aims to explore the role and importance of a dedicated journal management website in facilitating the organization, monitoring, and evaluation of journal development at Jambi University. The focus is on how this digital platform can improve journal accreditation processes and overall management efficiency. Methodology: The research adopts a qualitative approach, utilizing focused interviews with 20 respondents from the journal management team at Jambi University. A purposive sampling method was employed to ensure that participants had relevant experience in journal management. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed to identify common themes related to the challenges and benefits of using a centralized journal management platform. Main Findings: The findings reveal that the implementation of a dedicated journal management website is crucial in supporting the accreditation and development process. Respondents highlighted that such a platform simplifies tracking journal progress, facilitates communication and collaboration among team members, and provides an organized structure for managing evaluation and feedback. The website also enables the team to systematically monitor the quality of journals, helping them meet national and international accreditation standards more efficiently. Novelty/Originality of the Study: This study introduces an innovative approach to managing academic journals through a specialized digital platform, addressing a critical gap in traditional journal management practices. The proposed website not only enhances administrative efficiency but also serves as a strategic tool for continuous quality improvement and collaborative evaluation, ultimately raising the university’s research profile on a broader scale.

Abstract

Artikel ini mendeskripsikan sebuah penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 18 Kota Jambi dengan melibatkan 34 siswa kelas VII C, terdiri dari 16 siswa laki-laki dan 18 siswa perempuan. Metode yang digunakan mencakup pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi pada beberapa tahapan meliputi: perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Kemudian dilakukan analisis data menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan untuk mengolah data hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Sementara itu, analisis kualitatif digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran dengan model discovery learning. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Pada siklus pertama, persentase siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan sebesar 44,11%. Kemudian, pada siklus kedua, terjadi peningkatan ketuntasan klasikal menjadi 67,64%, meskipun belum mencapai indikator keberhasilan yang ditetapkan, yaitu ≥ 75%. Oleh karena itu, penelitian dilanjutkan ke siklus ketiga, di mana ketuntasan klasikal meningkat menjadi 79,41%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas VII C di SMP Negeri 18 Kota Jambi.

Abstract

Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis melalui model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi momentum dan impuls kelas XI SMA Negeri 8 Muaro Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Pada penelitian ini terdapat 2 jenis data yaitu data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif. Data kualitatif pada penelitian ini berupa lembar observasi dan dokumentasi. Data kuantitatif pada penelitian ini adalah tes untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 8 Muaro Jambi. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI F1 tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Penelitian ini terdiri dari empat tahapan utama yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi yang dilaksanakan secara berulang dalam bentuk siklus. Indikator yang menjadi acuan keberhasilan pada penelitian tindakan kelas ini yaitu mengalami peningkatan pada kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan presentase >75% dari keseluruhan siswa telah mencapai KKTP. Hasil penelitian tindakan kelas yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI F1 di SMA Negeri 8 Muaro Jambi. Peningkatan ini terlihat dari persentase ketuntasan klasikal yang terus meningkat pada setiap siklus. Pada siklus I, sebanyak 45,71% siswa mencapai ketuntasan. Persentase ini meningkat menjadi 68,57% pada siklus II, dan terus bertambah hingga 77,14% pada siklus III. Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa model inkuiri terbimbing efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi fluida statis di kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Kota Jambi. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari tiga pertemuan yaitu dua pertemuan kegiatan belajar dan satu pertemuan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa setiap siklus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa serta tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan aktivitas guru dan siswa serta kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Pada siklus I, ketuntasan klasikal siswa sebesar 55,56%, meningkat menjadi 83,33% pada siklus II. Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa.

Abstract

There are currently several obstacles in the assessment using conventional media, including excessive use of paper, which causes environmental damage, and increases in school fees to conduct an assessment. In addition, it is less effective in conducting assessments because it takes a long time to assess the results of student answers manually. . Conventional media allows fraud and results in a lack of confidence in the assessment results. This study aims to analyze user responses using web-based assessment as a character assessment medium. The population of this study amounted to 91 students. This study uses a mixed-method explanatory method with descriptive analysis and qualitative methods. The results of the study show that the user response obtained an average value of 3.52, which includes the SB category (excellent) because the use of the website can save time, display real-time data, and is very easy to use anywhere, so with a good response from users make this web-based assessment suitable for use in student character assessment. This research implies that teachers can use web-based assessment in conducting assessments.

Abstract

Mathematical physics is often considered a very difficult subject to study, one of the reasons that makes this happen is the lack of learning media that supports students. In addition, most of the existing media are in foreign languages, so in this case we need an Indonesian language learning media, namely the mathematical physics e-module on dual integral material. This study aims to see the level of students' perceptions of the mathematics physics e-module on the dual integral material that has been made. The approach of this study uses a mixed method with an explanatory model. The sampling technique in this research was purposive sampling with 68 research subjects active physics education students who contracted Mathematics Physics courses. The instrument used in this study was a student perception questionnaire with 15 questions and an interview sheet with 10 questions.. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive statistics. The results of physics education students' perceptions of the mathematics physics e-module of multiple internal material were categorized as good with a percentage of 66.17% and in the very good category with a percentage of 33.83%. From the results it can be seen that the mathematical physics e-module on dual integral material can support the learning process and increase student motivation.

Abstract

The low reading character is often found in the school environment. The low reading character is that many students read textbooks. This is due to the lack of exciting strategies to motivate students to read. This study aims to analyze the comparison of teaching materials, namely, comparing the print module and the electronic module. This type of research is comparative research. The method used in this study is a quantitative method using a survey research design. The sample of this study was the fourth-grade students who opened 22 people. Data analysis used descriptive, inferential statistics, namely analyzing data by describing the data that had been collected. The results of this study are from the two teaching materials that are applied, namely the printed module and the electronic module. It can see indicators of the reading habit. In the study, the dominant results were good for looking at indicators of reading fondness characters with the application of electronic modules. In contrast, for the application of print modules in the good category, from this it was seen that the difference between the two learning materials was applied to see indicators of reading fondness characters, this is with the results of the t-test which has been done, where the obtained is smaller than 0.05 then there is a difference between the two. So the electronic module based on local wisdom needs to be applied by teachers to instill the character of reading fondness among students.

Abstract

Teachers still find it difficult to use technology to develop open materials for students, so that it has an impact on low student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to analyze the peace-loving character of students after an electronic module based on local wisdom ecotourism of The Basal Babu Mangrove Forest was applied. This type of research is quantitative with research methods using quantitative associative research. The sample in this study was 32 fourth-grade elementary school students. The sampling technique was total sampling. The techniques used to collect data are observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The data collection instrument used was a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The result in this study is that the cinta damai character owned by the students has a good category, seen from the peace-loving character after the electronic module based on local wisdom, using the correlation results obtained 0.937 and the results of a positive relationship. This shows that there is a relationship between the peace-loving character and the application of the electronics module. This research implies that the application of this electronic module helps students learn independently and can improve students' character.

Abstract

Mathematics physics is often considered by students as a very difficult subject to learn, one of the causes that makes this happen is the lack of learning media that supports students. In addition, most of the existing media use foreign languages, so that in this case Indonesian language learning media is needed, namely the mathematical physics e-module on vector material which is then seen from student responses based on gender differences. This study aims to analyze students' perceptions of the mathematics physics e-module and to analyze students' perceptions based on gender differences in the mathematics physics e-module. This type of research is survey-based research with a quantitative approach. The population of this study was physics education students who contracted mathematical physics with a sample of 80 students. The instrument used in this study was a student perception questionnaire with 15 questions and an interview sheet with 10 questions. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential data analysis using t-test. The results showed that overall students had a positive perception with a perception value of 60% in the very good category and 40% in the good category, whereas when viewed from the gender difference, male students had a perception value of 76.6% in the very good category and 23, 3% in the good category, for female students 50% in the very good category and 50% in the good category. That is, students with gender differences have striking differences in perceptions. Student perceptions can be used as a determining factor in the selection of open materials. From the results, it can be seen that gender differences can help in assessing the products made so that they will support the learning process and increase student learning motivation.
