Abstract

Evaluation of educational programs is an effort to find out the goals of education, it can also be interpreted as an effort to provide information that will later be conveyed to decision makers. This study is intended to review how evaluation of educational programs can play a role in optimizing the quality of learning. By using a qualitative ethnographic research approach in which we conducted direct observations and interviews with one of the teaching staff at the target school, this study found: First, evaluation activities were carried out regularly on a weekly basis. Second, the method used in evaluating madrasas is through standards of infrastructure, curriculum and financing. Third, the educational program implemented is a question and answer pattern regarding children's talents and interests. This makes it easier for educational staff to find out which programs are suitable to be implemented. Thus, evaluation of educational programs plays a very important role in improving the quality of learning.

Abstract

Berpikir kreatif merupakan kemampuan yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa terutama dalam pembelajaran kimia, namun pembelajaran yang pasif dengan metode konvensional tidak dapat mendorong siswa untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatifnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran bermain peran terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi koloid. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian non-equivalent control group design. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 72 siswa, yaitu siswa pada dua kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 6 Depok dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes keterampilan berpikir kreatif sebanyak 15 soal uraian. Hasil uji hipotesis N-Gain menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney menghasilkan nilai Signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 (0,000 < 0,05), sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh metode pembelajaran bermain peran terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi koloid.

Abstract

Background: Dental caries is a dental disease caused by the presence of food residue and bacteria for a long time, where the bacteria produce acid which can cause tooth decay. In order for preschool-aged children to prevent tooth decay, bibliotherapy is needed which can provide insight and change the behavior of preschoolers. Bibliotherapy is using a story to start a discussion about a problem and it should be used as an alternative to problem solving. Purpose: To determine the effect of bibliotherapy on tooth brushing behavior for the prevention of dental caries in preschool children at one of kindergarten in South Jakarta, Indonesia. Method: This study used quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test design, where the intervention group is measured or observed before and after the intervention. The research sample consisted of 30 respondents. The sampling technique uses total sampling. The research instrument is a tooth-brushing behavior questionnaire. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test to determine the effect of bibliotherapy on tooth-brushing behavior. Results: The behavior of the respondents before the intervention showed that the behavioral variable with good category was 13.3% and after the intervention showed that the variable with good behavior increased to 96.7%. The results of the study obtained a p value of 0.000 <0.05 which indicates that bibliotherapy has an effect on tooth-brushing behavior. Conclusion: There is an effect of bibliotherapy on tooth-brushing behavior to prevent dental caries in preschool children in one of kindergarten in South Jakarta.

Abstract

Effective communication is the process of exchanging ideas, thoughts, and information in a way that best suits goals and objectives. Simply put, it is nothing more than an expression of the sender's point of view in a way that is most easily understood by the recipient. Communication is one of the most important things that must be understood by all members of the organization. It is hoped that understanding communication can be the first step in building harmonious relationships within an organization. The purposes of communication in organizations include providing information, feedback, controlling, influencing, problem solving, decision making, encouraging change, and forming groups. This journal discusses the importance of building effective communication between the chairman and members in an organization. This journal uses a literature study research approach. Research using literature studies is research by analyzing a number of journals and articles from relevant previous research. Data collection was carried out through online research by searching for journals and articles via Google Scholar. Then it is rearranged into a complete journal that discusses the topic chosen to be developed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh data observasi yang menunjukkan perolehan data tentang pengaruh pengembangan sumber belajar terhadap gaya belajar peserta didik, tujuan yang hendak dicapai pada penelitian ini diantara lain untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses pengembangan sumber belajar terhadap gaya belajar peserta didik penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif atau naturalistik dengan jenis metode studi kasus. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada sekolah MIN 3 TEBO, sekolah ini menggunakan 2 kurikulum yaitu kurikulum 13 dan kurikulum merdeka. Dari hasil penelitian ini guru mampu mengembangkan sumber belajar sesuai dengan gaya belajar peserta didik, dengan menggunakan sumber belajar berupa alat peraga dan lingkungan sekitar.

Abstract

Administrasi sekolah sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Pemilihan karyawan yang baik, komunikasi yang terbuka, pertemuan teratur, dan penggunaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi merupakan bagian dari manajemen administrasi sekolah. Salah satu masalah yang ditemukan adalah manajemen administrasi sekolah yang buruk, yang menghasilkan pelayanan pendidikan yang buruk. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi proses administrasi di SMA Negeri 1 Ingin Jaya Aceh Besar, serta bagaimana sekolah mematuhi peraturan administrasi dan menguasai kemampuan administrasi staf untuk meningkatkan pelayanan. Studi ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif, terutama metodologi deskriptif kualitatif. Studi ini melibatkan kedua siswa dan orang tua atau wali siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa proses administrasi untuk meningkatkan pelayanan pendidikan di SMAN 1 Ingin Jaya Aceh Besar masih kurang efektif karena tidak ada pelayanan yang optimal. Namun, sekolah telah mematuhi pedoman administrasi untuk meningkatkan pelayanan pendidikan, yang menghasilkan SMAN 1 Ingin Jaya Aceh Besar mendapatkan nilai A. Namun, masih ada kekurangan kemampuan administratif staf untuk meningkatkan pelayanan pendidikan.

Abstract

Perkembangan restoran di Indonesia merupakan salah satu bidang yang sangat penting untuk meningkatkan pendapatan nasional. Hal ini terlihat dari banyaknya restoran yang beroperasi di seluruh Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta bahwa penjualan menu di Mentawai Restaurant tidak memenuhi target, adanya penghapusan menu, dan pembatasan pemilihan menu minuman. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis tingkat profitabilitas menu dan menentukan posisi menu pada Mentawai Restaurant. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif yang dilakukan di Mentawai Restaurant Pangeran Beach Hotel Padang. Penelitian ini meliputi seluruh menu makanan dan minuman yang ada di Mentawai Restaurant sebanyak 82 menu, teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh. Data dari penelitian ini diperoleh melalui observasi dan studi dokumentasi dan dianalisis menggunakan menu engineering worksheet di microsoft excel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada 43 menu di Mentawai Restaurant yang menunjukkan profitabilitas tinggi. Kategori Star sebanyak 2 menu, kategori Plowhorse sebanyak 6 menu, kategori Puzzle sebanyak 12 menu dan kategori Dog sebanyak 10 menu. 52 menu lainnya tidak dapat diklasifikasikan karena posisi menu tersebut berubah-ubah.

Abstract

Study findings about students' learning needs became the basis for this research. To improve high-level cognitive learning outcomes based on students' metacognitive characteristics, this research will apply Discovery Learning. This research uses Solomon Four Groups Design, a type of quasi-experimental research methodology. The research population was 216 fourth grade students at Al Kautsar Elementary School. In keeping with the research objectives, a cluster random sampling approach was used to select the sample for this investigation, resulting in a total of 112 students. The data analysis method uses the Man Whitney test which is non-parametric. Research findings show that discovery learning is effectively implemented in elementary schools because it can foster student participation in learning activities, which in turn can improve cognitive learning outcomes at a high level based on students' metacognitive characteristics.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of media attention, corporate governance, risk management disclosures, and financial crises on the real profit management practices of the transportation industry on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2020 and 2022. This study uses secondary data and targeted sampling techniques. The transportation industry's annual financial statements 2020-2022 and business reports available on the IDX website were used in this study. The independent variables, UDD, KA, RMD, MC, and FD, simultaneously had a significant effect on REM, according to a significance value of F of 0.021 or less than the probability value (p-value) of 0.05 (0.021  0.05). The results of this study imply that larger boards may be less likely to engage in profit management, especially in the transportation sector. This indicates that the ability of the audit committee to mitigate real-based profit management may be limited. Media publicity has no effect on real profit. Moreover, longitudinal studies on the effects of financial crisis on profit management could provide insights into how different phases of crises impact profit management over time.

Abstract

Public transport is any form of transport to move passengers or goods from one place to another which is done by being hired and rewarded. This research was conducted with the aim of determining the quality of Suroboyo bus services that have been provided to the people of Surabaya City with the Purabaya - Rajawali route. The approach to this research refers to qualitative approaches and descriptive types of research. The research method used in this study is qualitative method with interview and observation data collection techniques. Data analysis is carried out in an inductive way descriptively – qualitatively. The theory used in this study is the theory of service quality from Parasuraman et al. (1988). The results of this study show that five indicators of service quality, namely tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy have been well implicated by Suroboyo bus service providers with the Purabaya - Rajawali bus route. Even though it is considered quite qualified, Suroboyo bus officers still strive to improve service quality. In addition, officers can also maintain their hospitality by giving smiles and greetings to every passenger who comes. Smiles and greetings given by bus officers will have an impact on passengers so that they feel that they have been cared for and comfortable with the service provided by the officer.
