Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the informal economic education in the family through the habit of saving for children, which results in meaningful learning. This study uses a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation and interviews. The informants in this study were five parents and five children in urban farming family households in Makassar City. The data obtained in this study will be analyzed using data coding techniques. The results of this study indicate that (1) parents have understood their children from an early age regarding informal economic education, especially saving; (2) the formation of knowledge, attitudes, and saving behavior makes children feel that parents have a role in guiding and teaching them about saving, which later became a meaningful learning for children and continues to stick in their memories to this day; and (3) the freedom given by parents and the absence of coercion to save are also meaningful lessons that are embedded in children's memories.

Abstract

This study aims to explore phenomenologically informal education through the role of parents in providing economic education to children and education in family financial management. This study uses a qualitative approach to phenomenology. The informants in this study were six parents who were heads of families and, based on their profiling, met the requirements for achieving the research objectives. Data collection was carried out using interviews, observation, and documentation. Qualitative data analysis techniques are used through the data reduction phase to present information and draw conclusions. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that parents have the perception that economic education must be taught to children from an early age, especially in terms of managing money, reducing unnecessary expenses, and starting to save from an early age, so that children get used to being intelligent economic beings and prepare for future success. When teaching their children about family economics, parents focus on helping their children understand their family's financial situation and how to act responsibly by only spending as needed by providing explanations and modeling economic behavior. The implication of this research showed that educators must implement PBL assisted by e-modules, especially in accounting subjects, to improve students' critical thinking. Students were able to formulate learning problems, analyze problems, students used clear language, and draw learning conclusions. It gave an implication provision for students to develop their critical thinking skills. An important implication for the future that could be made was by paying attention to designs that were more appropriate to student needs, integrating content that was relevant to real life, and providing adequate training to teachers, it can increase the effectiveness of the module in improving students' critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of role conflict, role ambiguity, and ethical sensitivity on auditor performance and intellectual intelligence as a moderating variable on the relationship between these factors and auditor performance. Data were collected from 200 respondents who were auditors at the Makassar City BPKP Office using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression with a moderated regression analysis (MRA) approach. The results showed that role conflict and role ambiguity have a significant negative effect on auditor performance, while ethical sensitivity has a significant positive effect on their performance. In addition, intellectual intelligence moderates the relationship between role conflict and auditor performance so that the higher the intellectual intelligence of an auditor, the negative impact of role conflict on his performance will be reduced. However, intellectual intelligence does not moderate the relationship between role ambiguity and performance.
