Abstract

Sharia-based peer-to-peer (P2P) lending has emerged as an alternative for individuals seeking online financing aligned with Islamic principles. Despite the rapid growth of financial technology in Indonesia, the market share of Sharia P2P lending remains significantly lower than that of conventional platforms. This study aims to examine the influence of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, risk, trust, and religiosity on financing decisions in Sharia P2P lending. A quantitative method with a causal design was employed, involving 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Primary data were gathered via online questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 22. The results indicate that perceived usefulness has a positive and significant effect on financing decisions. In contrast, perceived ease of use, risk, trust, and religiosity do not have a significant partial effect. However, all variables collectively exert a positive and significant influence on financing decisions. These findings highlight the importance of enhancing users’ perceptions of usefulness and addressing perceived risks to increase the adoption of Sharia-compliant digital financial services.

Abstract

Subgrades in low bearing capacity are often improved by traditional stabilization methods using cement and lime, that have problems with environmental issues. Because processes cement production released Carbondi-oxide (CO2) to the air. Instead, a modern stabilization is known as environmentally friendly materials, such as POFA as agro-waste. The purpose of the research was to obtain the strength of soil by adding 20% POFA. Measurement the samples consist soil properties test and CBRsoaked tests and microscopic observation (SEM). The test results obtained that added 20% POFA was able to changed soil characteristics by reduce the plasticity index of 11.20% to 3.63%% or medium to low plasticity. Then occurred decrease the MDD of 1.83 to 1.68 gr/cm3 and increase the OMC of 13.60% to 17.0%. The CBR soaked test obtained was increase the strength soil stabilization until curing of 7 days to exhibited CBR value of 3.25% to 8%. It was comply to value CBR standard for subgrade, minimum of 6%. Microscopic observations showed that the surface was coarser and POFA looks like closed togeth-er that filling the pores of soil and looks more dense. Thus, the POFA is feasible for exhibition as alternative modern stabilization material.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between senior mentoring programs and the adaptation process of first-year university students. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, in-depth interviews were conducted with first-year students who participated in a structured senior mentoring program. The findings reveal that consistent interactions, effective communication, and role modeling from senior mentors significantly enhance both academic and social integration among new students. Mentoring not only helps students understand academic systems and manage learning challenges but also fosters self-confidence, a sense of belonging, and emotional attachment to the campus environment. However, the effectiveness of the program is strongly influenced by the quality of the mentor–mentee relationship, the mentor's empathy, and institutional support through training and monitoring systems. The study recommends that higher education institutions design mentoring programs with clear structures, provide communication and leadership training for mentors, and ensure appropriate mentor–mentee matching to optimize adaptation outcomes. These findings contribute to the growing body of literature on peer mentoring and student retention, offering practical insights for improving student engagement and reducing dropout rates in the first year.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) the characteristics of social, emotional, and moral development in elementary school children, and (2) the implications of children's social, emotional, and moral development on the formation of social attitudes in elementary school children. The research method used in this study is literature. The results showed that the characteristics of social, emotional, and moral development of elementary school children were aware of the social roles, religion, race, and socioeconomic status of their peers, accepted cultural stereotypes, and adult attitudes towards their status, thus creating group awareness in their social environment. These characteristics will persist until late childhood and will continue until they are adults if educators provide a stimulus in continuing their mature developmental tasks. The stimulus is in the form of guidance, direction, and providing a good and healthy socio-cultural environment in social, emotional, and moral development so that it has implications for the formation of good social attitudes. For children's socialization skills to improve, the task of educators is to guide and direct them to learn to accept and carry out responsibilities, learn to compete with others, learn good social behavior, learn to work together, learn from adults, and learn with peers, learn to adapt themselves with group standards, learn to play to develop physical, learn to share, and learn sportsmanship. The most important thing is good parenting from parents as the first madrasa for children informing children with noble character as a form of good social attitude in society.

Abstract

The main triggering factor for landslides is high rainfall intensity, especially during the rainy season. Excessive rainfall can cause an increase in water content in the soil, which in turn will reduce the shear strength of the soil and increase the volume weight of the soil. The method used is a laboratory experiment by taking samples from the field. The sample of this study was sandy clay soil taken from a landslide-prone area located in Talamau District, West Pasaman Regency. Based on the results of soil geotechnical laboratory tests in the landslide-prone zone in Talamau District, West Pasaman Regency, it can be concluded that the soil sample has moderate plasticity characteristics with a Liquid Limit of 59.39%, Plastic Limit of 49.77%, and Plasticity Index of 9.62%. The soil reaches a maximum dry density of 1.37 gr/cm³ at an optimum water content of 500 ml, with a grain size distribution dominated by the sand fraction (83.978% retained on sieve No. 4-20) and a very low fine material content (1.234%). The results of the triaxial test showed soil behavior that varied from brittle to strain-hardening depending on the level of cell stress. Overall, the soil can be classified as well-graded sand with good drainage but low cohesion, thus requiring additional stabilization for construction applications in landslide-prone areas.

Abstract

Education serves not only as a medium for transferring knowledge but also as a process of shaping values and character that are manifested in real behavior. One of the fundamental character traits that must be nurtured in higher education is discipline, particularly in the context of globalization and the competitive tourism industry that demands professionalism. This study aims to analyze the achievement of students’ discipline character in the Cultural Tourism Department through the Travel Industry Practicum, based on five key indicators: obedience, compliance, loyalty, regularity, and orderliness. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach using a questionnaire instrument adapted from Patmawati (2013). The population consisted of 75 students from the 2021 cohort, with a sample of 43 respondents determined through Slovin’s formula and convenience sampling. The findings reveal that during the initial phase of the practicum, several weaknesses were observed in students’ discipline, such as tardiness, uniform neatness, and consistency in task completion. However, after completing the practicum over one semester, all discipline indicators showed significant improvement, reaching the “very good” category with an average score of 4,66. These results indicate that practical field experience combined with institutional guidance effectively strengthens students’ internalization of discipline values. In conclusion, the Travel Industry Practicum is not only a vehicle for applying academic theory, but also serves as an effective strategy for character building. The results of this study make an important contribution to strengthening Thomas Lickona's noble character education framework through its application in higher education, particularly in the field of tourism. These findings can serve as a strategic basis for policy formulation and curriculum development oriented towards the formation of disciplinary character, so that higher education can produce graduates who are not only academically competent but also excel in work ethic and character values.

Abstract

One of the important things in developing decent residential land is the availability of buildings, facilities and infrastructure that are safe and comfortable to live in. However, with the development of settlements and increasingly expensive land, the use of areas with soft soil conditions cannot be avoided. Construction on soft soil causes many problems, including the relatively low bearing capacity of the soil and large settlements so that soil stability is disturbed. The low shear strength of clay soil causes the shear stress generated by the foundation to be large enough to cause the construction building to collapse. To overcome these soil conditions, the soft clay soil is stabilized first. One way to overcome this problem is to add reinforcement material, namely geotextiles. Geotextiles can develop very high tensile strength. Apart from that, geotextiles also function as a filter and hold fine particles so that they are not carried away by water seepage, separating two layers between soil and soil or soil and water so that they do not mix with each other. In this research, modeling will be carried out with variations in the number of geotextile layers, namely 1 layer with a depth of 5 cm, 1 layer with a depth of 10 cm, and 2 layers with a depth of 5 & 10 cm, which will be compared with without using geotextiles. The results of the research showed that the soil bearing capacity in the laboratory with 2 layers of woven geotextile reinforcement with a depth of 5 & 10 cm had the highest value of 9.723N/cm2. As well as the soil bearing capacity in the plaxis software, the highest bearing capacity was found in the hardening soil model material with a depth of 5 cm, amounting to 46,402 N/cm2.
