Abstract

Speaking skills are very important skills for students to master in an era of increasingly high demands. However, there are still many students who experience difficulties in speaking. The main factor that influences speaking ability is the level of self-confidence in students. The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of self-confidence on students' speaking abilities and to find ways to overcome these problems. The research method used is a qualitative method using interview data collection techniques and literature studies. Interviews were conducted with teachers to obtain empirical data regarding the relationship between self-confidence and students' speaking abilities, while literature studies were used to strengthen the findings with relevant theories. The research results show that students with high self-confidence will actively speak and be able to express their ideas and opinions clearly. Meanwhile, students with low self-confidence will find it difficult to speak to express their thoughts or have the courage to speak in public. Speaking skills greatly influence students' activity during the learning process so that if left untreated it will hinder their academic and social development.

Abstract

Reading delays and low learning focus in grade 3 elementary school students are significant challenges in primary education. This study aims to analyze the factors that cause reading delay and decreased learning focus in grade 3 elementary school students, as well as explore effective learning strategies to overcome them. The method used is a literature study by reviewing various related scientific sources. The results of the analysis show that internal factors such as low reading interest and lack of motivation, as well as external factors such as lack of family support and a less conducive learning environment, contribute to reading delays and decreased study focus. Learning strategies involving phonic methods, multisensory approaches, and the use of educational technology have proven to be effective in improving students' reading and focus skills. The implications of these findings emphasize the importance of the role of teachers and parents in creating a supportive learning environment and implementing appropriate learning methods to address reading delays and improve students' focus on learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that contribute to low motivation to learn among students in the subject of Science (IPA) in Elementary School. The research method used is qualitative literature research by analyzing various written sources, such as journals, books, and research reports. The results show that low student motivation to learn is influenced by both intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Important intrinsic factors include a lack of confidence among students, difficulty in understanding scientific concepts that are considered abstract, and low curiosity about the learning material. Extrinsic factors include monotonous and uninteresting teaching methods, limited learning facilities and infrastructure, and lack of support from teachers and parents. This study recommends the use of innovative teaching methods such as project-based learning, inquiry-based learning, and the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach to motivate students. In addition, active support from teachers and parents in providing feedback and appreciation is important to increase students’ confidence and motivation in learning science.

Abstract

Learning strategies are very important to be applied in preparation for the implementation of learning in its implementation can be attributed to local wisdom which is a concept that refers to the culture of the surrounding community. This study aims to analyze learning strategies based on local wisdom and its integration with the improvement of narrative writing skills in Indonesian language learning over the last 10 years which have been published in SINTA-indexed journals. This research is a qualitative research using a literature review of 20 articles. The writing of this article is assisted by several applications such as publish or perish and mendeley. Learning strategies can be associated with local wisdom that is adapted to the culture in the local environment. The results of the literature review are in the form of a classification of learning strategies in improving the ability to write narratives based on local wisdom. The results of the analysis show that local wisdom can be integrated into learning models, learning media, and the development of teaching materials. Based on the research, the application of learning strategies based on local wisdom can improve the ability to write narrative texts and can train critical thinking, creativity and cultural literacy.

Abstract

The family is the first and foremost environment that provides children with social and linguistic experiences. Parents and other family members serve as the child's first language model, significantly influencing their language development in the future. This literature study aims to analyze the impact of the family environment on the language skills of elementary school students. The study employs a literature review method by referencing previous research journals relevant to the topic.Through journal searches, five relevant studies were identified. The majority of these studies applied a descriptive method design with a qualitative approach, while some also incorporated ex-post facto quantitative methods. Despite variations in research findings, all studies consistently indicate that the family environment plays a crucial role in shaping children's language skills. Factors such as parental involvement, the frequency of verbal interactions at home, and the availability of reading materials contribute significantly to children's linguistic development. Additionally, supportive family environments, where parents actively engage in conversations and storytelling, positively impact children's vocabulary acquisition and reading abilities.Based on the literature review results, it can be concluded that the family environment influences children's language skills. While the findings of each study may differ, they share a common conclusion regarding the significance of family interactions in shaping children's reading and communication abilities. These findings highlight the importance of fostering a language-rich home environment to support children's linguistic growth. Future research is suggested to further explore strategies that enhance parental involvement in children's language development.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to validate a theoretically based blended assessment model with SDL and to show empirical validation of it. The study materials developed include a Model Book, a Students’ Book, and a Lecturer’s Book modeled on an authentic blended assessment framework for Basic Reading. A mixed-methods approach was used, and the validation process involved six expert validators. one-on-one evaluations were conducted with ten students and one lecturer who were purposively selected to be part of the study. The data were collected from validation sheets as well as semi-structured interviews. The results of statistical analysis performed on expert validation showed that the evaluation model has achieved high validity (i.e., content, construct, criteria, and face validity), producing a highly valid prototype of instruction. The findings indicate that there is no need for any further refinements,  and the model is thus ready for immediate implementation. Moreover, the intrinsic and impact validity of the authentic blended assessment model was corroborated with the support of empirical user validation (lecturer and students) feedback. This describes the inherent characteristics that include main usability elements like clarity, easy usage, logical mapping, and completeness of learning content. The impact aspect highlights the effectiveness and worthiness of using the products in real-world learning environments. The study addresses an important gap in reading assessment and presents a practical and effective solution for educators and institutions looking to leverage Basic Reading assessor skills within a Self-Directed Learning principles approach. The results can provide an important link to promote autonomous learning, develop evaluation methods, and, finally, enhance students’ independent learning ability and academic achievement.

Abstract

Pesantren Ramadhan merupakan program keagamaan yang bertujuan menanamkan nilai Islam sejak dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas kegiatan Pesantren Ramadhan di Mushalla Muhsinin UPTD SD Negeri 04 Limbanang dalam meningkatkan pemahaman agama dan karakter siswa kelas 4,5, dan 6. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan wawancara dan observasi sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman agama yang tercermin dari perilaku sopan, empati, dan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam kegiatan keagamaan. Program ini didukung kegiatan seperti tadarus, hafalan salat, dan ceramah. Salah satu temuan penting adalah keberhasilan program Sedekah Subuh yang menumbuhkan kepedulian sosial siswa. Dukungan guru, orang tua, dan siswa memperkuat keberhasilan program. Secara keseluruhan, program ini efektif dalam membentuk karakter religius selama bulan Ramadhan.

Abstract

Teknologi memberikan kemudahan pada pekerjaan manusia. Perkembangan yang signifikan memacu terjadinya perubahan dan keterbutuhan yang banyak. Dunia pendidikan memerlukan peranan teknologi yang besar dan maju demi terlaksananya pendidikan yang bermutu. Dunia digital memiliki dampak positif dan negatif. Dampak positif memudahkan pelaksanaan kegiatan belajar dan mengajar, memberikan pelayanan informasi yang cepat dan terpecaya, efisiensi waktu dan tenaga,  dampak negatif bisa dengan timbulnya efek ketergantungan dan mengakses hal yang tidak memiliki manfaat, penggunaan di luar waktu yang berlebihan sehingga membagi fokus dalam belajar dan menggunakan teknologi digital. Siswa sekolah dasar dengan adanya perubahan kurikulum menuntut untuk penggunaan gadget dalam proses belajar, pemberian gadget pada anak sekolah dasar memiliki dampak yang tetap harus diperhatikan oleh orang tua dan guru sehingga pemanfaatan gadget sebagai penunjang pendidikan tetap pada tujuan utama yakni sebagai media memudahkan, memberi informasi, dan sebagai sarana penyaluran ide kreatif, bukan untuk menjadi penghambat proses belajar. Materi ini akan membahas dua sisi dari pengaruh teknologi gadget bagi siswa SD: sebagai alat pembelajaran yang bermanfaat sekaligus potensi ancaman yang mungkin muncul. Selain itu, kami juga akan menyoroti pentingnya peran orangtua dan guru dalam mendampingi peserta didik di era digital. Dengan bimbingan yang tepat, anak-anak dapat mengembangkan sikap tanggung jawab dalam menggunakan teknologi secara sehat dan bijaksana.

Abstract

This research is intended to analyze the influence of job satisfaction and organizational commitment on turnover intention at PT Martindo Fine Foods.The technique used in collecting data used in this research is the distribution of questionnaire using purposive sampling method, whereby the population and sample used in this research are all the employees working for PT Martindo Fine Foods amounting toa total of 120 respondents. This research uses two independent variables which are job satisfaction variable and organizational commitment variable.This research uses data analysis methods such as validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test,multiple linear regression analysis, determination coefficient test, and hypothesis test. The result of this research show that job satisfaction variable does have influence and is significant towards the turnover intention of employees, so is the organization commitment variable does have influence and is significant towards the turnover intention of employees. Furthermore, job satiscation and organizational commitment variable simultaneously does haveinfluence and significant towards the turnover intention of employees of PT Martindo Fine Foods. Variables in this research have an influence44,8% towards the turnover intention of employees. The rest 55,2% are influenced by other variables coming from outside of this research.

Abstract

The Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) is a program under the Merdeka Curriculum that should be implemented routinely, in a structured manner, and with supportive conditions from all parties involved. This study aims to explore the challenges faced by educational institutions in implementing the P5 program, serving as an evaluation reference for improving educational success. Using a qualitative research method with interviews, this study involves validation and verification from relevant stakeholders and educators who directly experience the situation in the field. The data collected is based on direct communication with teachers and field observations, which are then analyzed and presented in a descriptive format. The findings reveal several significant challenges that affect the effectiveness of the P5 program, including issues related to understanding and implementation, as well as inadequate infrastructure and facilities. However, this study primarily evaluates the effectiveness and productivity of the Merdeka Curriculum without directly measuring its success. Therefore, further in-depth research is recommended to achieve higher validity and a more comprehensive understanding of the program’s impact.
