Abstract

Universitas Mataram telah melaksanakan pembelajaran daring selama dua semester melalui SPADA, Zoom meeting, atau Google meet, bahkan banyak yang menggunakan aplikasi Whatsapp. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kemampuan spasial dan model mental mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Mataram setelah melaksanakan pembelajaran daring selama pandemi pada mata kuliah kimia dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian one group pre-test post-test design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada 48 mahasiswa Pendidikan kimia Universitas Mataram. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan dua jenis instrumen, yaitu tes kemampuan spasial dan tes model mental. Data dianalisis dengan uji-t menggunakan software IBM SPSS Statistic 22. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tidak terjadi perubahan kemampuan spasial pada mahasiswa antara sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran. Selain itu, model mental mereka juga tidak berubah selama pembelajaran daring. Model mental mahasiswa berbanding lurus dengan kemampuan spasial mereka.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memaparkan tanggapan mahasiswa calon guru terhadap pembelajaran kaffah prinsip Bernoulli. Desain penelitian menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan sampel 38 mahasiswa calon guru dari PGMI Universitas Islam Negeri Mataram. Data didapatkan dari angket respon dengan 3 indikator yaitu senang, mudah memahami dan bermanfaat. Hasilnya tanggapan mahasiswa calon guru terhadap pembelajaran kaffah sangat baik dan memberikan dampak yang positif bagi mereka. Pembelajaran kaffah mengintegrasikan agama, sains, aplikasi dan kebermaknaan dari satu konsep. Pembelajaran ini diharapkan memberikan konstribusi bagi pengembangan kemampuan mahasiswa calon guru dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan dan mengevaluasi pembelajaran.

Abstract

Abstract: Bencana Gempa Bumi tak dapat diprediksi kapan kejadiannya dan seberapa besar resiko bahaya yang akan ditimbulkannya. Manusia hanya bisa berbuat bagaimana mengurangi/memperkecil resiko kerusakan akibat bencana dengan melakukan tindakan mitigasi yaitu mempersiapkan apa yang mesti dilakukan sebelum, sesaat dan pasca bencana. Melalui sosialisasi kapasitas pengurangan resiko kebencanan dan mitigasi bencana pada mahasiswa Magister IPA, diharapkan informasi pengetahuan kebencanaan akan tersebar ke masyarakat yang lebih luas. Berdasarkan kegiatan tersebut telah disebarkan quis pengetahuan kebencanaan melalui google form dan terkumpul data sebanyak 45 partisipan mengenai kemampuan kognitif mitigasi dan kapasitas resiko kebencanaan. Hasil menunjukkan kemampuan kognitif peserta relatif sedang. Artinya pengetahuan yang berhubungan dengan kebercanaan perlu desiminasi

Abstract

This research aimed to develop laboratory module of isolation trimyristin from nutmeg (Garcinia mangostana) to support natural product chemistry course. The research design used 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The population in this study covers all students of Chemistry Education Program, University of Mataram who took natural product course. Meanwhile there were four students who became the sample in this study. The four students were taken randomly and became respondents for a limited trial. The results showed that the validity of three validators obtained by using Aiken index was V = 0.7 indicated that the natural chemistry laboratory module about trimyristin isolation from nutmeg was valid and feasible to use. Practicality can be seen from the responses of students and lecturers who showed a positive response with the average of all module component practicability of 83%. Based on the data, it can be concluded that the natural chemistry labortory module of isolation trimyristin from nutmeg was feasible and practical, so it can be used in the learning process.

Abstract

This research aims to identify students' learning difficulties in class XI MIPA chemistry learning at MAN 2 Mataram. This study is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The population of this research was 285 students and distributed to 8 classes. The total sample of 74 students was obtained using simple random sampling method. The data were collected using questionnaires and interviews. The data were analyzed by applying a percentage formula, complemented by an in-depth explanation of the responses provided by the interviewed respondents. The research results showed that students' learning difficulties were into the high category. Students experience difficulties with internal factors (74%), which include physical and mental conditions (80%) as well as motivation and interests (67.5%). Furthermore, learning implementation factors (74%) include teacher explanations (76.5%), student participation (74%), and assignments (71.4%). Lastly, external factors (75%) include economic difficulties (86.4%), support from the environment and family (71%), and support from the school (78.6%). Hence, the aforementioned factors contributed to the learning difficulty among class XI MIPA students at MAN 2 Mataram.

Abstract

Sumbawa society is rich in culture, especially in traditional medicine. People use materials from the surrounding environment, including plants and animals, as active ingredients for medicine. Newborn babies and toddlers are susceptible to blockage of the respiratory tract with mucus. In babies, it is usually caused by an imperfect suction process, while in toddlers, it is caused by bacteria or viruses. The Samawa people use a mixture of cuttlefish (Sepia sp.) and eucalyptus oil as a medicine that effectively removes mucus from the body. The active ingredient in cuttlefish has an unpleasant odour and cannot be stored for long. When they need cuttlefish, people must look for them in markets or traders on the coast. Of course, this takes time to use. The ointment production innovation has many advantages, including practicality, no fishy smell, ease of obtaining, and ease of storage for the long term. Using the natural active ingredient lemongrass, essential oil adds aromatherapy and provides warmth to the chests of babies and toddlers. Natural active and gel-based ingredients are safe to use without side effects. The ointment was tested for active ingredient content using GCMS and organoleptic tests for gel stability, spreadability (homogeneity), pH, and skin irritation. Based on the description above, it can be concluded that the ointment product is made from an anti-skin irritation gel base, pH 7, and gel spreadability of 5.5 cm. The active substance comes from cuttlefish Sepia sp. by inhibiting the COX-2 enzyme and reducing the production of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), an essential inflammatory mediator in the pathogenesis of asthma and bronchitis. The simple production process means that the price of the ointment is within people's purchasing power.

Abstract

This development research aims to assess the validity and reliability of scientific literacy measurement instruments based on bird ecotourism that are feasible, effective, practical, and receive positive student responses. The research design uses the ADDIE model: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data was collected using Observation, interview, test, questionnaire, and documentation methods. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively on scientific literacy measurement instruments' validity, reliability, and practicality by calculating the average score and determining the criteria at certain class intervals. The results show that the scientific literacy measurement instrument is valid, reliable, and effective in improving the scientific literacy of prospective science-biology teacher students, so it is suitable for use in learning. The reliability of the scientific literacy skills (SLS) test is 0.94 (very good). The N-gain value for the SLS post-test in the experimental class was 71, while the N-gain value for the control class post-test was 63. The difference test results using the Mann-Whitney test were obtained from Asymp. Sig. 0.038 ≤ 0.05. This means there is a significant increase in the ability of experimental class students to SLS after learning activities. Student responses to EBFP-M were recorded as 24 people (86%) giving positive assessments (good and very good), and the implementation of 13 aspects (81%) of the 16 aspects measured was good.

Abstract

In the rapidly evolving 21st century, fostering analytical thinking skills has become a critical objective in science education, enabling students to solve complex problems and adapt to knowledge-driven economies. This systematic literature review, covering research from 2013 to 2024 and focusing on Scopus-indexed journals (Q1–Q3), aims to identify trends in analytical thinking research, explore effective pedagogical approaches, and analyze methodological diversity in the field. Using the PRISMA framework, 60 peer-reviewed studies were systematically selected and analyzed through both quantitative and qualitative methods, with thematic coding and tools like Vosviewer employed to uncover patterns and themes. The findings highlight a surge in research during 2020–2021, driven by the global shift to remote learning, and emphasize the effectiveness of innovative teaching strategies such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Project-Based Learning (PjBL), and Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) in fostering analytical skills. The review also underscores the role of technological interventions, such as virtual labs and simulations, in enhancing student engagement and cognitive development. However, gaps were identified, including the need for longitudinal studies and standardized evaluation metrics to assess long-term impacts. The study concludes that integrating evidence-based, scalable strategies across diverse educational contexts is essential for promoting analytical thinking as a core competency. Future research should prioritize interdisciplinary approaches and leverage emerging technologies to address these gaps. These findings provide actionable insights for educators, researchers, and policymakers aiming to advance science education and prepare students for the challenges of a dynamic world.

Abstract

This study recommends OBE-oriented ethnoscience learning to foster entrepreneurial competence carried out with 6 stages of learning namely ethnoscience observation activities. ethnoscience analysis, product ideas, production trials, production cost analysis and product presentation/presentation. This learning model is further introduced by the author as ethnoedusciencepreneurship. This learning step is relevant to the main outputs/outcomes of science learning, namely Content Knowledge (HBS1): Inquiry Skills and Scientific Processes (HBS2): Laboratory Engineering and Safety (HBS3): Science Communication (HBS4): Critical Thinking and Problem Solving (HBS5): Scientific Literacy and Ethical Considerations (HBS6): Lifelong Learning and Scientific Investigation (HBS7). The learning step can accommodate the needs of developing entrepreneurial competencies in students referring to SKKNI Number 53 of 2014 concerning Industrial Entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Clasical Test Theory (CTT) masih digunakan secara luas oleh guru dalam mengolah data hasil tes siswa dalam menentukan nilai akhir. CTT memiliki banyak kelemahan dalam evaluasi seperti mengolah data mentah, menjadikan skor sebagai nilai akhir, tidak dapat menginterpretasi kemampuan siswa secara komprehensif, tidak dapat membedakan tingkat kemampuan siswa berdasarkan gender. Rasch Model menawarkan metode evaluasi modern dengan interpretasi kemampuan siswa yang komprehensif dan dengan data matang (logit) dalam menentukan tingkat pemahaman siswa. Data logit merupakan data transformasi dari data mentah ke data interval yang siap dianalisis. Aplikasi winstep dalam analisis Rasch menggunakan tiga jenis evaluasi dalam menentukan hasil tes siswa yaitu peta item-person, skalogram, dan perbedaan gender. Kegiatan pelatihan dilakukan dengan memberikan pre-tes untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal guru dalam evaluasi. Guru diberikan pelatihan preperasi data dan teknik analisis dengan apliaksi winstep. Pata tahap akhir diberikan post-tes dan refleksi terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan. Data dianalisis dengan teknik analis persentase dari respon peserta. Hail pre tes menunjuk bahwa 100% belum pernah analisis dengan apliaksi winstep. Kegiatan pelatihan memberikan respon positif dari peserta. Berdasarkan hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa calon guru wajib mengetahui teknik evaluasi hasil tes siswa dengan analisis yang berkualitas dan hasil yang akurat dalam menentukan prestasi siswa.
