Abstract

This article is focused on describing the concept of competency-based Islamic religious education curriculum planning in schools and madrasas. This competency curriculum planning discussion aims to direct students towards the expected behavioral changes. The planning process involves determining goals and making decisions that will be realized in the form of activities or actions that focus on the future. This study uses a literature study design with a philosophical approach. The data analysis technique used is analytical technique, namely drawing conclusions about objects, both from thoughts, systematic images and factual in nature. The results of this study indicate that competency-based curriculum planning for Islamic Education (PAI) focuses on achieving students' competencies comprehensively, encompassing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. This curriculum not only emphasizes mastery of subject matter but also fosters tangible behavioral changes and the development of relevant life skills. The expected competencies include critical thinking skills, social abilities, and the internalization of spiritual and moral values. Moreover, competency-based curriculum planning is characterized by clear concepts, a holistic approach, and a systematic framework. Learning objectives are formulated as observable and measurable behaviors, enabling accurate evaluation of educational outcomes. This study also highlights the importance of involving all components of the learning process, including educators, students, materials, methods, evaluations, institutional managers, and other educational resources. Therefore, competency-based curriculum design provides clear direction for PAI learning, ensuring the achievement of educational goals that support the development of students’ character as individuals who are faithful, knowledgeable, and morally upright.

Abstract

Educational program evaluation is a systematic process that is essential in improving learning quality and achieving educational institutional objectives. This research aims to examine the practice of educational program evaluation with focus on basic concepts, evaluation models, principles of implementation, and their application in the context of modern educational institutions. The research method employs a library research approach with in-depth analysis of various recent academic literature from 2015-2025 that discusses educational program evaluation, the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product), and strategies for improving educational quality. The research findings indicate that effective educational program evaluation must be guided by principles of comprehensiveness, continuity, objectivity, and sustainability. The CIPP model has proven to be effective as a comprehensive evaluation framework at every stage of the program. Implementation of evaluation requires systematic stages that include preparation, implementation, and follow-up, as well as support from adequate policies and resources. The implication of this research is that educational institutions need to integrate program evaluation as an integral part of the quality management system to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of programs in meeting the needs of students and society.

Abstract

Background: Gross motor development is a fundamental aspect of early childhood education that supports children’s physical coordination, balance, and readiness for learning. Effective stimulation of gross motor skills requires learning experiences that actively engage children through meaningful movement and interaction. Learning media play an important role as mediators between children and movement-based learning activities. However, the use of ball-based learning media is often examined only in terms of motor outcomes, with limited attention to children’s engagement and human factor perspectives. Aims: This study aims to analyze the implementation of ball-based learning media in developing gross motor skills among children aged 5–6 years, with a focus on children’s engagement, coordination, and learning experiences. Method: This study employed a classroom action research design using the Kemmis and McTaggart model. The research was conducted in two cycles involving 21 children aged 5–6 years at RA Bintang Zhafira. Data were collected through observation, performance tests, and learning documentation, and analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis supported by percentage-based developmental achievement. Results: The findings show a significant improvement in children’s gross motor skills through ball-based learning activities. Gross motor achievement increased gradually from the pre-cycle stage to the end of Cycle II, exceeding the established mastery criteria. Children demonstrated improved coordination, balance, throwing and catching accuracy, as well as higher engagement in learning activities. Conclusion: Ball-based learning media effectively support the development of gross motor skills and children’s engagement in early childhood education. The use of concrete and interactive media oriented toward human factors contributes to meaningful and holistic learning experiences.

Abstract

Islamic school financial management plays a crucial role in ensuring the achievement of educational goals through effective, transparent, and sharia-compliant resource management. This article aims to review the application of a systems approach to Islamic school financial management using a literature review. Data were obtained through analysis of various sources, such as books, scientific journals, research reports, and official documents related to Islamic educational financial management. The study results indicate that implementing a systems approach helps schools develop integrated financial planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, thereby increasing accountability and efficiency. However, the study also identified several challenges, such as limited human resources, suboptimal technology utilization, and low transparency in financial reporting. Therefore, strategies are needed to increase effectiveness through management digitization, human resource capacity building, and strengthening sharia-based governance. This article is expected to serve as a reference for Islamic educational institutions in developing more adaptive, professional, and sustainable financial management practices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of digital promotion strategies in enhancing customer satisfaction within educational institutions amid rapid digital transformation. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach by examining national and international scientific articles indexed in SINTA and Scopus published between 2020 and 2025. Data collection and analysis were conducted through identification, screening, and selection stages using the PRISMA framework to ensure the relevance and quality of the reviewed studies. The findings reveal that the implementation of digital promotion through social media, institutional websites, content marketing, and interactive digital communication significantly contributes to improving customer engagement, institutional image, customer trust, and overall satisfaction in educational services. Digital promotion also enables educational institutions to deliver information more quickly, transparently, and responsively according to the needs of modern society. However, several challenges remain, including limited digital literacy, inadequate human resource capabilities, and increasingly competitive digital environments. Therefore, educational institutions should develop creative, innovative, and customer-oriented digital promotion strategies to strengthen competitiveness and sustain customer satisfaction in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of Tahsin extracurricular programs in optimizing students’ Qur’anic reading skills. The research focuses on the processes of planning, implementation, evaluation, and the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing program effectiveness. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving school leaders, Tahsin instructors, and students. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that the management of the Tahsin extracurricular program has been implemented through systematic planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. The program is conducted regularly using talaqqi, drill, and small-group learning methods, which contribute to improvements in students’ Qur’anic reading abilities, particularly in tajwid application, makharij al-huruf accuracy, and reading fluency. Program effectiveness is supported by leadership commitment, teacher competence, student motivation, and a strong religious culture within the school environment. However, limitations in teaching staff, restricted instructional time, and insufficient Qur’anic reading habits at home remain significant challenges. The study implies that effective management of Tahsin extracurricular activities plays a crucial role in enhancing students’ Qur’anic literacy and strengthening a Qur’anic culture within educational institutions.
