Abstract

Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is still the leading cause of death from infectious pathogens worldwide. Some of the factors that influence this are the negative stigma against the disease, at RSUD Dr. Adjidarmo Lebak, precisely in the Anggur room in 2022, there were 466 cases of Pulmonary Tuberculosis patients. Until now there is still a growing assumption in the community that TB is a hereditary disease that is difficult to overcome. This assumption makes many TB patients do not want to seek treatment because of shame and plus the family also tends to cover up the condition of the disease, Motivation has an influence on the success of treatment, especially pulmonary TB patients so that their desire and willingness to be able to behave obediently in treatment, a person's motivation to recover can affect adherence to taking medication in tuberculosis patients. Research Objectives: Knowing the response of negative stigma and motivation to recover to the level of adherence to taking anti TB drugs in pulmonary tuberculosis patients in the anggur room of Rsud Dr. Adjidarmo Lebak in 2023. Research methods: The research method used was descriptive correlational and cross sectional method with chi square test. The sample in this study was 33 tuberculosis sufferers undergoing anti-TB drug treatment who were treated in the anggur Room in November - December. The technique used in this research is sequential sampling, and data collection using a questionnaire. Research result: The results of data processing on respondents who have a high negative stigma as much as 97%, high recovery motivation as much as 100% and a high level of compliance as much as 42%, the results of the Chi Square test Negative stigma response to the level of adherence to taking anti TB drugs obtained p value = 0.024 means p < α (0.05). So it can be concluded that Ho is rejected, and the Cure Motivation Response to the level of adherence to taking anti TB drugs obtained p value = 0.010 means p < α (0.05). So it can be concluded that Ho is rejected. Conclusions and suggestions: Statistically there is a relationship between negative stigma response and motivation to recover on the level of adherence to taking anti-tuberculosis drugs in pulmonary tuberculosis patients in the Anggur room of RSUD Dr. Adjidarmo Lebak. It is expected that the results of this study can be used as input in carrying out nursing care in order to improve the quality of nursing services in the form of providing or conducting health education, especially the importance of adherence to taking OAT in tuberculosis patients in the Anggur room of RSUD Dr. Adjidarmo Lebak, in an effort to prevent drug resistance.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics is learning about customs or habits and even the patterns of life of a society that are closely related to mathematical concepts. However, the lack of public knowledge about mathematics makes people think that mathematics can only be obtained in formal schools, even though mathematics can also be found in everyday life. For this reason, an ethnomathematical exploration is carried out in order to provide an explanation to the community that there are mathematical activities in everyday life, customs, and habits of a society. Researchers conducted research on the art of Reog Bulkiyo in Kemloko village, Nglegok district, Blitar district. This study uses qualitative research with an ethnographic approach, with data obtained from direct observations, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The results showed that there were mathematical activities such as counting, measuring, and making patterns. In addition, in the Reog Bulkiyo dance movement, there are also mathematical concepts, namely geometric concepts such as flat shapes, angles, and reflections.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the development of coastal tourism at Sijile Beach and its impact on local beef cattle farming businesses. This research uses a quantitative approach with qualitative data as support, which includes interviews with key informants and surveys of around 40 breeders. The analysis was conducted to understand how tourism development affects livestock farmers' attitudes and identify policies and practices that can improve their welfare. PESTEL analysis identified political, economic, social, technological, environmental, and legal factors influencing Sijile Beach livestock farming. Political factors include conservation policies that limit land access for livestock breeders. In contrast, economic factors indicate challenges and opportunities arising from tourism, including rising land prices and opportunities for economic diversification. Social factors describe changes in cultural values and potential conflict between tourists and local communities. Technological factors indicate a lack of use of technology by livestock farmers, which limits their operational efficiency. Environmental impacts include habitat degradation and pollution due to tourism activities. Legal factors reveal problems in policy implementation and the need for local community participation in decision-making. SWOT analysis highlights strengths, such as solid local resources and a potential market of tourists, as well as weaknesses, such as technological limitations and pressure on natural resources. Opportunities include sustainable tourism development and diversification of the local economy, while threats include the environmental impact of tourism and competition with the tourism sector. These findings demonstrate the need for balanced and inclusive policies to integrate tourism with livestock and the importance of technology training and support for livestock adaptation. This research provides important insights for stakeholders in designing strategies that support ecosystem sustainability and the welfare of local communities

Abstract

Education is an important part of a person's life. Through education a person can gain knowledge about morals, science, character, and other things that are important for social and state life. Each country has its own standards in providing education to its citizens. The purpose of writing this article is to make a comparison between education standards in Indonesia and the United States, especially in the state of California. The research method used is literature research. This study looked at several previous research studies and the standards applied in the two countries. Data analysis was conducted using qualitative descriptive techniques. Education standards in Indonesia and the United States-California are different. This can be seen from the different standards and outcomes. In the curriculum, Indonesia has a centralized curriculum which at the basic education level consists of 10 subjects plus local content. Whereas in the United States the basic education curriculum prioritizes soft skills with 4 general subjects that are derived in the form of sub-subjects. However, both the United States-California and Indonesia try to implement the best education standards according to the capabilities of the citizens and the characteristics of each country.

Abstract

Many vocational high school students in Pamekasan, Indonesia, face difficulties in understanding and applying basic grammar rules, which leads to poor writing skills. Despite the increasing use of Automated Writing Evaluation (AWE) tools like Grammarly, there is limited research on their effectiveness in vocational educational settings. To address this gap, the study aims to evaluate the impact of Grammarly on improving the English writing skills of tenth-grade vocational students, focusing on areas where it offers the most significant benefits. A quantitative pre-experimental design, involving pre-tests and post-tests, was used to assess changes in students' writing proficiency, with descriptive statistics and t-tests employed for data analysis. The findings revealed that Grammarly significantly enhanced students' grammar and punctuation accuracy, though no substantial improvement was observed in overall writing quality. However, the tool proved effective in helping students identify and correct common errors, improving the clarity and coherence of their writing. Further research is recommended to explore the long-term effects of AWE tools like Grammarly in various educational contexts.
