Abstract

By 1997, Cisco Systems, a company already consolidated in the technology and communications market, saw the need to train personnel who had the skills to configure, manage, install and support all its products in general at all levels, from design to the implementation of solutions. In Colombia, more precisely in the city of Barranquilla, the ITSA University Institution in the early 2000s saw an excellent opportunity to ally with the University created by Cisco, called Cisco Networking Academy, to train professionals in the Caribbean region capable of face the new challenges that technology in networks is generating day by day, becoming in the first Institution of higher education in the region to provide this type of training with international certification and endorsement. From then on, the local Cisco academy has strengthened and significantly impacted local society, generating valued and skilled labor in the labor market of the city and the region. The purpose of this work is to measure this impact, focused on the Cisco, CCNA, and CCNP flagship courses between 2015 and 2019, verifying how ITSA, through the Cisco Academy, has transformed lives. The research methodology is descriptive, exploratory, and documentary

Abstract

This paper will examine supernatural matters through groups on Facebook using observation methods seen from the group's number of followers, the number of posts, and the things discussed in it to be able to find out how much Indonesian people are interested in supernatural topics. The research phase consists of data collection, pre-processing, processing, and visualization of data. Observations were made by 5 observers by reviewing the group's status (privacy or public), number of members, number of posts per day, and content of the group's content as public. The result of this observation is that the number of members does not promise the activeness of the group when viewed from the number of posts in the group. This is indicated by the number of posts in the immune science group of 4,437,000 with a total of 300 posts and Fortune tellers with 95,271 members with a total of 2260 posts.

Abstract

Face recognition as a security system has undergone significant developments, but challenges in live detection are still a major issue in preventing fraud. Liveness detection is a method that helps face recognition security more resistant to fraud. This research aims to address this issue by developing an innovative security system that integrates face recognition with a facial expression game, enhancing live detection and user engagement. The primary objectives are to ensure seamless integration, maintain a fun and challenging user experience, and demonstrate practical applicability. We applied a Waterfall method in our research to ensure a straightforward approach. We successfully applied this system for the door lock-unlock mechanism, simulating a restricted area. YuNet, a face detection model runs in the web interface and controls the NodeMCU to either lock or unlock the door.  The study concluded 95% success rate from the participants in making facial expressions: Smile, Normal, and Sad. However, expressing Sadness within the 3-second timeframe posed some difficulties. The average duration for completing the mini-game was approximately 16.31 seconds from the start. The integration of a facial expression game as a liveness detection required careful design to balance security and user engagement that is fun to experience. This research underscores the significance of addressing current challenges in biometric security by integrating an interactive element into the live detection process. The developed system contributes to the field by enhancing the robustness and user experience of face recognition security systems, demonstrating potential for broader application in restricted access scenarios.
