Abstract

Inclusive education management aims to ensure equitable access to learning for all students, including those with special needs. Despite broad policy support, implementation remains uneven across contexts, including Indonesia. Common barriers include constrained resources, insufficient teacher preparation, cultural resistance, and high teacher workloads. This study conducts a systematic literature review (SLR) to synthesize recent evidence on practices, challenges, and solutions. The analysis identifies effective practices such as comprehensive teacher professional development, provision of disability-friendly facilities, and sustained collaboration among schools, families, and communities. Persistent constraints include budget limitations, inadequate psychosocial support, and social stigma that hinders the inclusion of students with special needs in mainstream classrooms. To organize actionable responses, the review integrates management perspectives from Total Quality Management, distributed leadership, and change theory, providing a structured pathway for improvement. Based on these insights, the paper recommends strengthening inclusive education policies, leveraging educational technologies, and implementing public awareness initiatives to build acceptance. Overall, the findings highlight the need for coordinated, long-term commitments by governments, schools, and communities to achieve a fair and inclusive education system.

Abstract

Islamic school financial management plays a crucial role in ensuring the achievement of educational goals through effective, transparent, and sharia-compliant resource management. This article aims to review the application of a systems approach to Islamic school financial management using a literature review. Data were obtained through analysis of various sources, such as books, scientific journals, research reports, and official documents related to Islamic educational financial management. The study results indicate that implementing a systems approach helps schools develop integrated financial planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, thereby increasing accountability and efficiency. However, the study also identified several challenges, such as limited human resources, suboptimal technology utilization, and low transparency in financial reporting. Therefore, strategies are needed to increase effectiveness through management digitization, human resource capacity building, and strengthening sharia-based governance. This article is expected to serve as a reference for Islamic educational institutions in developing more adaptive, professional, and sustainable financial management practices.

Abstract

Effective school leadership is central to the development of teacher professionalism and organizational discipline, yet qualitative evidence from Islamic secondary schools remains limited. This study investigated how school leadership strengthened teacher work discipline at MTs Negeri 2 Pesawaran, Indonesia. The study used a qualitative descriptive field design and drew on semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, and document analysis. The revised manuscript reports a purposive sample consisting of the madrasah head, the vice principal for curriculum, and teachers who were directly involved in daily instructional management. Data were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña interactive model through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with credibility supported by source and technique triangulation. The findings converged on three interrelated leadership pathways. First, the madrasah head directed teachers through clear attendance regulations, supervisory routines, duty allocation, and regular coordination meetings. Second, leadership was enacted through mentoring practices, including evaluation meetings, performance agreements, professional guidance, and collaborative problem solving. Third, the madrasah head functioned as an exemplary role model by demonstrating punctuality, open communication, recognition of teacher achievements, and active participation in school programs. Collectively, these practices strengthened punctuality, accountability, professional commitment, and a collaborative school culture. The study suggests that leadership in madrasah settings is most effective when administrative control is combined with ethical example, participatory communication, and sustained professional support. These findings contribute context-specific insight into how leadership mechanisms shape work discipline in Islamic educational institutions and provide practical direction for school leaders seeking to reinforce teacher accountability in comparable settings.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged educational institutions to utilize online-based systems in the student admission process. The implementation of online recruitment is expected to improve the effectiveness of student admissions through easier access, wider dissemination of information, and more efficient administrative management. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of online recruitment in attracting qualified student candidates at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Hikmah Bandar Lampung. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving the admission committee, new students, and parents. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source triangulation. The results indicate that online recruitment increases the number of applicants, accelerates administrative processes, and improves cost efficiency through the use of digital media. However, the quality of applicants is still determined through a selection process based on the academic and religious standards established by the madrasah.

Abstract

Managing educational financing in private schools is a strategic aspect of ensuring institutional sustainability and the quality of educational services. The complexity of relatively autonomous funding structures requires financial governance that is transparent, accountable, and sustainability-oriented. This article analyzes concepts, models, and practices of financing management in private Junior High Schools using a Systematic Literature Review approach. The reviewed literature is limited to publications from the last ten years and is analyzed through content analysis techniques to identify patterns, trends, and research gaps. The review indicates a shift from an administrative approach toward a strategic, school-governance-based approach that integrates program planning with budgeting, internal oversight, and stakeholder participation. The effectiveness of financing management is influenced by needs-based planning, diversification of funding sources, digitization of reporting systems, and the principal’s managerial capacity. The main challenges include dependence on student fees and limited human resources for financial administrative management. Therefore, financing management in private junior high schools should be positioned as a strategic instrument to support organizational stability and the continuous improvement of educational quality.

Abstract

School leadership plays a crucial role in determining policy direction, organizational culture, and the quality of education in schools. In the context of educational organizations, transformational leadership is seen as capable of enhancing work motivation and strengthening teachers' organizational commitment, thereby improving their performance in carrying out their professional duties. This study aims to synthesize various research findings regarding the impact of transformational leadership on teacher performance through work motivation and organizational commitment. The review was conducted using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with Barbara Kitchenham's model, which includes three stages: planning, conducting, and reporting. A total of 10 research articles were analyzed using a descriptive-thematic approach to identify patterns, relationships between variables, and the theoretical and practical contributions of previous studies. The synthesis results show that transformational leadership plays an important role in improving teacher performance both directly and through the enhancement of work motivation and organizational commitment. The effectiveness of transformational leadership is also influenced by a supportive work environment and organizational support in developing teachers' professionalism. Thus, school leaders need to apply transformational leadership styles that can foster teachers' motivation and commitment, creating a productive, professional, and quality-oriented work environment.

Abstract

Educational quality in Islamic schools is profoundly shaped by teacher professionalism, where discipline and loyalty serve as critical human resource drivers. Despite their theoretical linkage, empirical gaps persist regarding how these constructs interact to sustain instructional excellence. This study employs a qualitative thematic systematic literature review to synthesize peer-reviewed publications (2015–2024) examining teacher discipline, loyalty, and educational quality in Islamic contexts. Thematic synthesis reveals that discipline functions as a structural prerequisite for organizational stability, while loyalty operates as a psychological and professional commitment that sustains instructional continuity. The analysis demonstrates a synergistic relationship: internalized discipline fosters role clarity and procedural consistency, which, when mediated by fair leadership and value alignment, cultivates productive loyalty. This loyalty subsequently drives teacher retention, collaborative innovation, and student learning outcomes. The review underscores that disciplinary mechanisms rooted solely in administrative compliance are insufficient; sustainable educational quality requires integrating internalized professionalism, participatory governance, and Islamic ethical values into school management. These findings offer theoretical clarification on the discipline, loyalty, quality nexus and provide actionable insights for administrators designing policies that balance accountability, professional autonomy, and institutional commitment.

This is done by the teaching of religious ethical values by example from the family, school and community. through the practice of worship, Such as fasting a month in Ramadhan (Refrain from eating and drinking or anything that may nevertheless invalidate the fast, all day from dawn until sunset in the month of Ramadan).  fasting, reading and understanding the holy book the Qur'an, physical and social environment conducive. when the spirituality of the students are organized, it will be Easier to organize other aspects of personality.  Fasting during Ramadan is a momentum for character building. Fasting will let people have strong principles, patience, Sincerity and do not give up and have the solidarity and love each other. That principle has now started to disappear. Moment of  Ramadan  may also be a school agenda for character building, with this media, students are expected to remember and go back to the true identity of the sacred and sublime, with the values of humanity and wisdom. When the values of human nature come back on the track, then the equality and solidarity will color the days of the students. Fasting has a horizontal dimension with a strong social life Such as charity, served meals to the orphans, be patient in facing the problem. there are some excellent values for building the character of students. It is Appropriate if the moment of Ramadan fasting would be passed on in the schools as a program after the month of Ramadan in shaping the character of students through the activities of the sunnah fasting( not compulsory fasting)   twice a week Monday-Thursday, or give students the freewill to negotiate to determine how many times a week or every month held sunnah fasting together, the idea of the Sunnah fasting is influence on the formation of student character effectively.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana penerapan absensi sidik jari di sekolah kejuruan dan menggambarkan tingkat kedisiplinan karyawan di SMK SMTI Bandar Lampung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, sementara teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah Wawancara, Observasi dan Dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sekolah menerapkan kebijakan absensi fingerprint guna meningkatkan disiplin karyawan dengan mewajibkan karyawan merekam kehadiran setiap hari kerja. Kebijakan ini diikuti dengan peraturan tidak diperbolehkan untuk mengubah kehadiran kecuali dibuktikan dengan surat kepala sekolah, dan remunerasi nominal akan diperoleh setiap bulan, sesuai dengan kehadiran online yang direkam melalui mesin absensi sidik jari. Kata Kunci: Absensi karyawan, fingerprint, disiplin karyawan, sekolah menengah kejuruan Abstract: Fingerprint Attendance System: an Effort To Improve Employee Discipline. The purpose of this study was to describe how fingerprint attendance applied at vocational school and to describe the level of discipline of employees at SMTI Bandar Lampung Vocational High School. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, while the data collection techniques used are Interview, Observation and Documentation. The results of the study show that the School implement fingerprint attendance policies to improve employee discipline by requiring employees to record attendance every working day. This policy was followed by regulations not allowed changing attendance unless approved by the principal's letter, and nominal remuneration will be obtained every month in accordance with online attendance recorded through a fingerprint attendance machine Keywords: employee attendance, fingerprint, employee discipline, vocational school

Abstract

This study presents an integrative–critical narrative literature review of Hamka’s educational thought. It maps dominant elements across the literature, clarifies relationships among conceptual components, and identifies areas that remain insufficiently connected. Using an integrative critical narrative review approach, the study analyzes 14 selected articles (2020–2025) that discuss Hamka’s educational ideas from multiple thematic angles. The findings show that scholarship most consistently foregrounds akhlaq/character/ethics as the central educational aim, supported by foundational elements tawhid/creed (aqidah) and tasawuf that orient values and cultivate the inner life. Moreover, the literature outlines Islamic educational processes through the frameworks of ta’lim–tarbiyah–ta’dib and knowledge–practice–ethics, while extending the discussion through educational values derived from Tafsir Al-Azhar and socio-cultural dimensions such as nationalism and the integration of Nusantara culture. Despite its thematic breadth, however, the literature remains largely fragmented and has not yet produced a unified framework linking value foundations, educational processes, moral aims, and contextual grounding. In sum, this review offers a holistic conceptual map that systematizes relationships among the dimensions of Hamka’s educational thought and highlights the need for further research that is more operational and context-sensitive.
