Abstract

This research titled is ?The Study of Speech Act on Lucy Maud Montgomery?s Novel Titled Anne of Green Gables?. The purpose of this research is to analyze speech acts and meaning based on Austin terms that found on dialogue on novel story line. Research method is research library and supported by all information on internet. Speech act is a symptom of communication process and according to Austin divided into three categories, locutionary, illocutionary and perlocutionary. The type of speech act that the most used in Anne of Green Gables novel is illocutionary of order. Abstract

This thesis studies about flouting maxims in Toni Morrison?s ?Beloved?. This study concerns on finding the flouting maxims in the novel and try to find the implicatures that caused by flouting the maxims. By using the descriptive qualitative method, the researcher tried to observe by using  critical analyzing way for each conversation that occured in the novel. Each conversation in the novel is observing by considering if it is one kind of conversation that flouting the maxim of quality,quantity,relation or manner which are according to Grice theory about maxims. The setting of conversation in the novel is also take a part as the evidence if it is flouting maxims. Implicatures that caused by the speaker is also become one important element in order to check the effect of flouting maxim. It indicates that in Toni Morrison?s ?Beloved?, occured flouting maxims, all of four  maxims had been found in the conversation between the characters. Keywords :conversation, maxim, flouting maxims, characteristics

Abstract

Social conflict is an event that we often overcome in our daily life. People usually face the social conflict by many attitudes. There are three kinds of social conflict, they are conflict between individual, inter-group conflict, and conflict between organizations. There are many ways of someone to express their thought about social conflict, One of them is by using beautiful combination of words that contains implicit meaning that makes that combination of words is hard to be understood. One of the famous poets is Robert Frost. Robert frost beautifully uses combination of words and metaphor to express his thinking of social conflict. By using descriptive qualitative method, the researcher is helped to pill off the meaning of the poem that closely related to social conflict in the selected poem of Robert Frost. After having analysis over the entire related source in this case in this case is poem, the researcher found that there is a tendency of the author of the poem, Robert Frost, in using the social conflict sense in presenting the poem. The implicit point of social conflict in the poem, most of them is included to conflict between individual, then the rest is included to inter-group conflict. As said by That condition is analogously with the theory of social conflict that is conflict between individual that stated Conflict between individual is conflict that occurs between one individual, to another individual or more. Abstract

Hemoglobin is an important component in the blood. If the blood lacks hemoglobin or the amount of hemoglobin in the blood is less than the normal amount, then the body will have anemia. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between menstrual periods with hemoglobin levels in female students. This research is a descriptive analytic research, cross-sectional approach, using total sampling technique. Sample amounted to 99 people in Faculty of Medicine UMI. Data collection was done by using questionnaire and measuring respondent hemoglobin. Data analysis using spearman test. There were 49 female students (49.5%) who had normal menstrual period with normal hemoglobin level (≥12). There were 38 female (38.4%) students who had normal menstrual period with low hemoglobin level (< 12), there were three female students (3.0%) who had hypermenorrhoea or abnormal menstrual periods with normal hemoglobin (≥12), and 9 9.1% women who had abnormal menstruation (hypermorrhoea) with hemoglobin low (<12), and no female students had hypomenorrhoea. Based on result of analysis of test of relationship obtained value p = 0,042 (smaller than value α = 0,05). The conclusion that can be taken is there is a significant relationship between the length of menstruation with hemoglobin level in student of Faculty of Medicine UMI bacth 2016.

Abstract

Fibrocystic change (FCC) meliputi suatu perubahan histologi payudara yang ditandai dengan kombinasi kista yang bervariasi, pertumbuhan fibrosa, dan proliferasi epitel. Kelainan ini berhubungan dengan dengan perubahan hormonal selama siklus menstruasi, sering terjadi pada usia 20-50 tahun dengan gejala klinis payudara terasa seperti benjolan saat diraba. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi prevalensi, insidensi, dan karakteristik klinikohistopatologi FCC yang diperiksa secara histopatologi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif observasional dengan pendekatan potong lintang dan pengumpulan data sekunder diperoleh dari rekam medik pasien. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh pasien yang menjalani pemeriksaan histopatologi jaringan payudara dan memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Prevalensi FCC yaitu sebesar 24,29%. Rentang usia pasien berkisar antara 13-68 tahun. Perbandingan antara perempuan dan laki-laki yang menderita FCC adalah 46,2:1. Lokasi lesi terbanyak pada payudara kiri. Keberadaan FCC dengan lesi penyerta lebih sering ditemui daripada lesi FCC tunggal. Temuan lesi penyerta dikelompokkan menjadi satu hingga empat lesi penyerta yang ditemui bersamaan diagnosis FCC. Insidensi FCC terbanyak pada kelompok usia 26-45 tahun. Mayoritas penderita adalah perempuan. Keberadaan kelompok lesi penyerta tunggal terbanyak ditemui berupa ductal hyperplasia diikuti kelompok dua lesi penyerta terbanyak yaitu ductal hyperplasia dan FAM.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aims of this study were: (1) to find out whether there was any significant effect of teachers? professionalism to the teachers? performance of Batik Senior High School 2 Surakarta; (2) to find out whether there was any significant effect of work motivation to the teachers? performance of Batik Senior High School 2 Surakarta; and (3) to find out whether there was any significant effect of teachers? professionalism and work motivation to the teachers? performance of Batik Senior High School 2 Surakarta.This study used quantitative study approach, by descriptive method. The population of this study was all teachers of Batik Senior High School 2 Surakarta. Sampling technique used in this study was probability sampling that was simple random sampling by using raffling, in the amount of 35 students from a population of 55 teachers. The data collecting technique used was questionnaire and documentation techniques. While the data analysis technique of this study was statistical test by correlation analysis and multiple regression.Based on the result of this study, it could be concluded that: (1) there was a significant effect of teachers? professionalism to the teachers? performance of Batik Senior High School 2 Surakarta. It was shown by the value of rvalued &gt; rtable or 0.443&gt;0.334 on a significance level 5%; (2) there was a significant effect of work motivation to the teachers? performance of Batik Senior High School 2 Surakarta. It was shown by the value of rvalued &gt; rtable or 0.634&gt;0.334 on a significance level 5%; (3) There was a significant effect of teachers? professionalism and work motivation simultaneously to the teachers performance of Batik Senior High School 2 Surakarta. It was shown by Fvalued &gt; Ftable or 22.528&gt;3.295 on a significance level 5%. Other finding in this study was a multiple linear regression equation ? = -5.978 + 5.82X1 + 7.66X2, which meant that the average of teachers? performance would increased or decreased 5.82 on the increase of decrease of a teachers? professionalism unit, and would get 7.66X2 increase or decrease on the increase of decrease of a work motivation unit. Whereas the relative contribution of teachers? professionalism to the teachers? performance was 40.79%, and the relative contribution of work motivation to the teachers? performance was 59.21%. The effective contribution of teachers? professionalism to the teachers? performance was 23.85% and the effective contribution of work motivation to the teacher?s performance was 34.62%. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of family involvement on tax aggressiveness with the audit committee as a moderating variable. The sample used in this study was 44 samples of family companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2014-2017. This study using SPSS 22 for processing data and purposive sampling for sample determination. The results of this study indicate that family involvement in the board of commissioners and directors will reduce the level of corporate tax aggressiveness. This is indicated by the increase in the CETR number when there is a large family involvement in the company. The researcher also uses audit committee variables as moderating variables measured using four proxies processed by PCA whose purpose is to summarize the four variables into new variables, the results of Moderated Regression Analysis indicate that the audit committee has not been able to strengthen or weaken the relationship of family involvement on tax aggressivenessKeywords: Family involvement, , tax aggressiveness, audit committee

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tes formatif dan metode pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan verbal linguistik siswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Islam Terpadu IQRA’ dan SMP Islam Terpadu Al-QALAM di Bengkulu pada semester kedua tahun pelajaran 2011/2012 dengan sampel sebanyak 80 siswa kelas VII yang dipilih secara klaster dan random. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen kemampuan verbal linguistik dalam bentuk pilihan ganda. Data yang terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan ANAVA dua jalur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan verbal linguistik (1) siswa yang diberi tes uraian lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang diberi tes menjodohkan, (2) siswa yang diajar dengan metode komunikatif kemampuan verbal linguistiknya lebih rendah daripada siswa yang diajar dengan metode audio lingual, (3) terdapat interaksi yang signifikan antara tes formatif dengan metode pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan verbal linguistik siswa, (4) pada kelompok siswa yang diberi tes uraian, siswa yang diajar dengan metode pembelajaran komunikatif lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa yang diberi tes menjodohkan, (5) pada kelompok siswa yang diberi tes menjodohkan, siswa yang diajar dengan metode pembelajaran komunikatif lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan siswa yang diajar dengan metode audio lingual, (6) pada kelompok siswa yang diajar dengan metode pembelajaran komunikatif, siswa yang diberi tes uraian lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang diajar dengan metode audio lingual, (7) pada kelompok siswa yang diajar dengan metode audio lingual, siswa yang diberi tes uraian lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan siswa yang diberi tes menjodohkan.Kata kunci: bentuk tes formatif, metode pembelajaran komunikatif, metode pembelajaran audio lingual, kemampuan verbal linguistik______________________________________________________________THE EFFECTS OF FORMATIVE TEST AND ENGLISH INSTRUCTIONAL METHOD ON THE STUDENTS’ VERBAL LINGUISTIC COMPETENCEAbstract This study is aimed to find out the effect of formative test and English instructional  method on the student’s verbal linguistic competence. This research is done in the second semester of the 7th grades of SMP Islam Terpadu IQRA’ and SMP Islam Terpadu Al-Qalam at province of Bengkulu  in academic year 2011/2012. The research involves 80 students as the sample chosen through clustering. The data were collected through test instrument in the form of multiple choices. The data obtained is then analyzed by applying two ways ANAVA. The result shows: (1) The students given essay test have higher verbal linguistic competence than those given matching test, (2) The students taught with communicative method have lower verbal linguistic competence than those taught with audio lingual, (3) There is a significant interaction between formative test and English instructional method towards the students’ verbal linguistic competence, (4) The verbal linguistic competence of students taught with communicative method and given essay test is higher than that of students taught with audio lingual method, (5) For  students measured with matching test, the students taught with communicative method have lower verbal linguistic competence than those taught with the audio lingual method, (6) For the  students taught with communicative method, the students measured with essay test have  higher verbal linguistic competence than students measured with the matching test, and (7) for the students taught with audio lingual method, the students measured with essay test have  lower verbal linguistic competence than the students measured with the matching test.Keywords: formative test model, communicative instructional method, audio lingualinstructional method, the students’ verbal linguistic competence

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemandirian,  perencanaan, pelaksanaan, metode, media, evaluasi,  serta hambatan  guru dalam pembelajaran mengembangkan kemandirian  pada anak  usia 5-6 tahun di TK Pertiwi 1. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini  2 guru dan anak dikelompok B2. Dari hasil penelitian bahwa diperoleh perencanaan pembelajaran mengacu kepada Permendiknas Tahun 2009 dan disesuaikan dengan kurikulum nasional. Metode yang digunakan dalam mengembangkan kemandirian pada anak menerapkan metode bermain, karyawisata, bercerita, dan sebagainya, media yang digunakan dalam mengembangkan kemandirian anak yaitu menggunakan buku cerita bergambar, poster-poster Penelitian, televisi, tape recorder, dan sebagainya, perilaku yang ditunjukkan anak-anak kelas B2 dalam kemandiriannya terlihat sudah bisa mandiri seperti menyimpan sepatunya dirak sepatu, tas di loker, cuci tangan sendiri, dan lainnya, selain itu juga hambatan yang ditemui dalam mengembangkan kemandirian kepada anak hanya terdapat pada saat awal anak masuk sekolah karena anak pada saat itu memasuki lingkungan yang  baru. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran, Mengembangkan, Kemandirian.  Abstract: This study aimed to describe the self-reliance, planning, implementation, methods, media, evaluation, as well as barriers teachers in learning to develop independence in children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten Earth 1 This study used a descriptive method with qualitative approach. This research subject 2 teachers and children grouped B2. From the research that earned lesson plan refers to Permendiknas in 2009 and adapted to the national curriculum. The method used in developing independence in children applying methods of play, field trips, storytelling, and so on, the media used in developing the child's independence is to use picture books, research posters, television, tape recorder, and so on, the behavior shown children B2 grader in independence has been seen to be independent as Dirak shoe store shoes, bag in a locker, hand washing themselves, and others, but it is also the obstacles encountered in developing the children's independence is only found at the beginning of school children school as a child at the time entering a new environment. Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out management of physical education facilities and infrastructure. This research is descriptive qualitative approach. Qualitative research is aimed at understanding social phenomena from the perspective of the participants. These participants are people who are interviewed, observed, asked to provide data, opinions, thoughts, and perceptions. The research strategy is flexible, using various combinations of techniques to obtain valid data through the survey. Based on the results of the study, it was found that through   interview showed that: first, planning for physical education learning facilities was carried out based on a needs analysis and determining the priority scale of activities to be carried out, in accordance with the availability of funds and the level of importance. Second, the provision of learning facilities is carried out by prioritizing aspects of function (utility) which refer to the usefulness of these facilities. Related to the real needs of schools. Third, the use of physical education learning facilities in addition to academic activities in the form of teaching and learning in class, is also used to support the implementation of various school activities. Fourth, storage of learning facilities is coordinated by designated personnel. Appointment of personnel with agreed terms
