Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum requires teachers to possess adequate competence in developing contextual and meaningful Madrasah Lesson Plans (RPM). One of the main challenges lies in teachers’ ability to integrate deep learning approaches into instructional planning. This community service program aimed to enhance the competence of teachers at SD IT Al-Markazul Islami in developing deep learning–based Merdeka Curriculum lesson plans. The program employed a structured and participatory approach through training and mentoring activities, including conceptual presentations, group discussions, and hands-on practice in lesson plan development. Evaluation was conducted using a competence questionnaire administered to 20 participating teachers in the pretest and posttest stages. The data were analyzed descriptively. The results indicated that teachers’ competence scores in the pretest ranged from 54 to 63, with a mean score of 58.7, which fell into the moderate category. Following the intervention, posttest scores increased to a range of 89–97, with a mean score of 92.9, categorized as high. The improvement in scores ranged from 33 to 35 points for each participant. These findings demonstrate that the training and mentoring activities were effective in enhancing teachers’ competence in developing lesson plans aligned with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum and deep learning approaches.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a virtual laboratory as an interactive learning medium to address students’ misconceptions in physics, particularly on the Doppler Effect topic. Conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Telaga during the 2024/2025 academic year, the research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using a 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), which was implemented up to the Develop stage. The developed media was created using Lectora Inspire 18 and included simulations, theoretical content, and interactive components. Validation involved media experts, content experts, and instructional tool assessment, resulting in high validity scores (average 3.75 for media and 3.50 for content). Practicality was evaluated through classroom implementation and student feedback, both yielding very positive results, with 100% implementation and strong student approval across five evaluation aspects. Effectiveness was measured through student activity observation, misconception analysis, and N-Gain testing, which revealed medium to high improvement in conceptual understanding. The findings demonstrate that the virtual laboratory is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing learning and reducing misconceptions. This study supports the integration of virtual laboratories in physics education to improve conceptual mastery and student engagement in abstract scientific topics.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the type and thickness of sediment in Lake Limboto using the Schlumberger configuration geoelectric method. This method was chosen because of its ability to detect resistivity variations that reflect the characteristics of subsurface sediments. The research procedure begins with an initial survey to determine strategic measurement locations, followed by electrode arrangement and resistivity measurements. Data obtained from the measurements were analyzed using geophysical analysis software to produce a resistivity distribution model. The results showed that there were variations in sediment types, including sand, clay, and alluvial soil, as well as varying sediment thicknesses in various locations. These findings are expected to provide useful information for water resource management and mitigation of shallowing problems in Lake Limboto.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to examine the influence of competence, independence, and professionalism of government internal auditors on audit quality at the Representative Office of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) in South Sulawesi Province. Research methodology: The study involved 40 respondents selected through random sampling from all internal auditors at the BPKP Representative Office. A quantitative approach was applied using primary data collected through questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality and linearity tests, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, multiple regression, R Square, t-tests, and F-tests. Results: The findings indicate that competence and professionalism significantly and positively affect audit quality, whereas independence has a positive but insignificant effect. Simultaneously, competence, independence, and professionalism collectively have a positive and significant impact on audit quality at BPKP South Sulawesi. Conclusion: Audit quality is largely determined by competence and professionalism, highlighting the importance of expertise and professional standards in ensuring effective supervision. Independence alone is insufficient without strong competence and professionalism. Limitation: The research was limited to a small sample size within a single regional office, which may restrict its generalizability. Broader studies across multiple regions and larger populations are therefore recommended. Contribution: This study enriches the public sector auditing literature by highlighting the mediating role of competence and professionalism. Practically, it guides policymakers and BPKP to strengthen training, continuous professional development, and auditing standards to enhance accountability and effectiveness.
