Abstract

Introduction Employee engagement is how employees attach to work and the organization they are living in. Among those that can help in growing employee engagement is work enjoyment, namely how employees enjoy work. Then another factor is perceived organizational support, namely the support provided by the organization so that employees who work receive support in every job. Objective This study aims to determine the role of work enjoyment and perceived organizational support for employee engagement in employees. Method The quantitative survey approach used in this research involves as many as 171 employees through quota sampling. Collecting data used psychology scale that reflects the construct of each variable and then analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. Result The results of this study indicated that perceived work enjoyment and organizational support play a role in employee engagement with a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05). Conclusion Based on result, it showed that perceived work enjoyment and organizational support for employee engagement on employees. ABSTRAK Pendahuluan Employee engagement merupakan keterikatan karyawan terhadap pekerjaan dan organisasi yang dijalaninya. Diantara yang berperan dalam menumbuhkan employee engagement adalah work enjoyment yaitu situasi bagaimana karyawan menikmati pekerjaannya. Kemudian faktor lainnya adalah perceived organizational support yaitu dukungan yang diberikan organisasi agar karyawan yang bekerja mendapat dukungan dalam setiap pekerjaannya. Tujuan Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran dari work enjoyment dan perceived organizational support terhadap employee engagement pada karyawan. Metode Pendekatan kuantitatif survey digunakan dalam penelitan ini dengan melibatkan sebanyak 171 orang karyawan melalui quota sampling. Pengambilan data menggunakan skala psikologi yang mencerminkan konstruk masing-masing variabel kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik regresi linear berganda. Hasil Berdasarkan temuan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan work enjoyment dan perceived organizational support berperan terhadap employee engagement pada karyawan dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,00 (p<0,05). Kesimpulan: Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa work enjoyment dan perceived organizational support terhadap employee engagement pada karyawan. Abstract

This article describes how differentiated instruction can be implemented in the reading classroom using the literature circle strategy. Literature circle strategy provides a structured yet flexible framework that allows students to engage with literary texts in collaborative groups, each assuming specific roles that cater to their individual strengths and learning preferences. The article outlines how teachers can design and manage literature circles to accommodate varied reading levels, interests, and participation styles, making reading activities more inclusive and meaningful. It highlights practical steps such as selecting diverse texts, assigning differentiated roles, and facilitating student-led discussions. By focusing on classroom application, this article offers insights into how literature circles support student engagement, enhance comprehension, and foster a supportive reading environment that aligns with the principles of differentiated instruction.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively examine the influence of students’ motivation to learn, their self-efficacy, and teachers’ interpersonal communication skills on academic achievement, employing a quantitative correlational research design. The research population consisted of all 288 twelfth-grade students at MAS Persiapan Negeri 04 Medan, with a sample size of 167 students determined using Slovin’s formula at a 5% margin of error. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics facilitated by Smart PLS 4 software. The results of the hypothesis testing indicated that the P-values for each independent variable were below the customary threshold of 0.05, which signifies a statistically significant positive effect on the dependent variable. Moreover, the collective influence of these independent variables was confirmed by a p-value of 0.000, further validating their joint impact, explaining approximately 70.8% of the variance in students’ academic performance. The remaining 29.2% of variance is attributable to other factors not accounted for within the scope of this study.

Abstract

School quality is the most important aspect and a major issue in the education system. This research aims to explore the influence of teamwork and curriculum effectiveness on improving school quality. The method employed is based on a quantitative design with a survey approach. A questionnaire was used to collect data from 146 respondents. School quality is the key variable in this research. The data analysis was conducted using SmartPLS software to provide detailed information on the contribution of each variable's indicators. The findings of this research indicate a strong contribution from each variable in enhancing school quality. The R-square value for the curriculum effectiveness variable is 0.365, meaning that this variable contributes to a 36.5% improvement in school quality. On the other hand, the teamwork variable contributes 62.3% to school quality. These results clearly demonstrate the originality of this research, highlighting that teamwork in schools has a higher contribution value than curriculum effectiveness. The future research needs to examine how to establish teamwork in Islamic educational institutions as an effort to enhance quality.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the types and meanings of Idiomatic expressions in the Hacksaw Ridge Movie. This research used a qualitative method. The object of this research is the script of dialogues and narrations of the characters in Hacksaw Ridge Movie., namely Whole script movie. The researcher used data sheets and tables as instruments. The researcher identified and categorized each expression based on Makkai's theory (2013) and using two dictionaries related to idioms, namely Merriam Dictionary of Idioms, Dictionary of American Idioms by McGraw-Hill's, , then matched the meanings of Idiomatic expressions from the dictionaries with the co-text contained in the dialogues or narrations of the characters to analyze the data. The results showed that there were six types of lexemic idiomatic expressions in the Hacksaw Ridge Movie., namely Sesemic idiom (Proverbial Idioms, Familiar quotation idioms, Idiomaticity in institutionalized understatement, Idiomaticity in institutionalized hyperbole) and Lexemic Idiom  (Phrasal Verb idioms, Tournure idioms, Irreversible Binomial idioms, Phrasal Compound idioms, Incorporating Verb idioms, and Pseudo idioms). In determining the meaning must be based on the co-text because an idiom contains many meanings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan manajemen laboratorium IPA yang meliputi (1) Capaian standar mutu tata ruang laboratorium IPA dalam meningkatkan prestasi siswa; (2) Tindak lanjut penggunaan fasilitas laboratorium IPA dalam meningkatkan prestasi siswa; (3) Pemanfaatan fasilitas laboratorium IPA; (4) Keterampilan laboran menggunakan alat laboratorium IPA dalam meningkatkan prestasi siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui: observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini meliputi kepala madrasah, kepala laboratorium, guru IPA dan siswa. Analisis data dengan menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif yang dimulai dari reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian adalah: (1) Capaian standar mutu tata ruang laboratorium IPA dilaksanakan berdasarkan prinsip manajemen berbasis madrasah dan harus memperhatikan beberapa aspek; (2) Tindak lanjut penggunaan fasilitas laboratorium IPA, pihak manajemen madrasah mengadakan kegiatan penunjang atau praktik; (3) Pemanfaatan Penggunaan fasilitas laboratorium digunakan agar tidak terjadi miskonsepsi antara teori dan praktik; (4) Keterampilan laboran menggunakan alat laboratorium IPA di MTsN 2 Bener Meriah sudah sangat baik.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the development strategies of digital libraries in Indonesian Islamic Higher Education Institutions (IHEIs). Using a qualitative method with descriptive surveys, the study gathers qualitative data from primary books, research journals, and conducts extensive literature reviews on digital library development and management strategies. Interviews with lecturers in IHEIs further enhance the research data. The findings highlight important aspects such as robust technological infrastructure, compatibility with existing systems, interoperability, and adequate storage. The research emphasizes the need for digital library management policies to address intellectual property rights, copyright compliance, open access principles, user adoption strategies, and long-term preservation and accessibility of digital content. The research provides valuable insights and recommendations for administrators, librarians, and IT personnel, contributing to the knowledge of digital library management in Islamic educational institutions and guiding strategic decision-making and resource allocation for their development and sustainability.

Abstract

Remaja berhadapan dengan beragam tuntutan dan tekanan dari lingkungan, seperti tuntutan akademis, dinamika pergaulan sosial, maupun ekspektasi dalam keluarga. Berbagai permasalahan dalam keluarga merupakan dintara faktor yang sangat memengaruhi psikologis remaja. Bagi remaja yang tidak mampu untuk mengahadapi hal tersebut akan berpotensi mengalami kecemasan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji seberapa efektif intervensi berbasis CBT untuk menurunkan kecemasan pada remaja. Pendekatan kuantitatif kuasi eksperimen dengan desain the one group pretest and posttest design digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Partisipan yang terlibat dlam penelitian ini adalah 8 orang siswa SMA X dengan karakteristik memiliki kecemasan dan distorsi kognitif terkait dengan permasalahan keluarga. Pengukuran menggunakan Beck Anxiety Index yang terdiri dari 21 aitem. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa ternyata terdapat efektivitas intervensi berbasois CBT dalam menurunkan kecemasan pada siswa SMA X dengan signifikasni sebesar 0,012 p< 0,05). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa CBT memiliki efektivitas dalam menurunkan kecemasan pada remaja.
