Abstract

A language is a communication tool used by humans to exchange information between individuals, both in the form of ideas, feelings, and emotions. Every communication process carried out by humans produces speech acts. This study aimed to describe the communication function and strategy for realizing directive speech acts in the collection of short stories Pandawa Kurawa by Agus Hiplunudin. The method used was descriptive qualitative with a pragmatic theory approach. The data source was a collection of Pandawa Kurawa short stories by Agus Hiplunudin. The data was collected through a reading-note technique which was then analyzed descriptively. The research data analysis was carried out by identifying the data, reducing the data, presenting the data, interpreting the data, and concluding the interpretation results. The results showed that the collection of Pandawa Kurawa short stories by Agus Hiplunudin contains a variety of communication functions and strategies for the realization of directive speech acts. The directive speech act was found in communication functions including advising, asking, demanding, ordering, forcing, suggesting, challenging, complaining, encouraging, and asking. Further, the strategies used to realize directive speech acts include a speech strategy without small talk, a speech strategy with positive politeness, and a speech strategy with negative politeness.

Abstract

Character education based on local wisdom is one character education model that is quite effective in shaping Indonesian human character. This study aims to describe the pattern of implementation of character education based on local wisdom in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program at Nurul Huda University. This research was field research conducted using qualitative methods. The results show that the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program at Nurul Huda University implemented character education based on local wisdom in every learning activity. The local wisdom that forms the basis for character education is the local wisdom of the Islamic boarding school and the Komering culture. Character education is based on local wisdom reflected through the vision and mission, the learning process, and student activities under the auspices of the Study Program. Through the implementation of character education based on local wisdom, students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program at Nurul Huda University are expected to become virtuous individuals of superior quality, dignified, and have a Pancasila spirit.

Abstract

Pembelajaran online menjadi alternatif untuk terus melanjutkan proses pendidikan di masa pandemi. Menurunnya kualitas pembelajaran disebabkan oleh penyampaian materi yang hanya mengandalkan aplikasi online meeting yang dipadukan penyajian materi melalui slide presentasi. Metode ini menempatkan peserta didik sebagai pendengar yang cenderung pasif karena pembelajaran kurang interaktif. Oleh karena itu, dengan menggunakan metode penelitian studi kepustakaan (library research), dalam artikel ini akan dipaparkan bagaimana pendidik dapat memanfaatkan multimedia interaktif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran online. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut disimpulkan bahwa, ada beberapa model media interaktif yang dapat dimanfaatkan seperti; 1) Model Tutorial; 2) Model Drills; 3) Model Simulasi; dan 4) Model Instructional Games. Dari keempat model tersebut, model instructional games seperti Kahoot, Educandy, Wordwall, menjadi model yang lebih banyak diminati oleh siswa. Dengan demikian, rekomendasi kepada para pendidik, perlu upaya lebih lanjut untuk memperbaiki cara penyampaian materi dalam pembelajaran online, dengan mempertimbangkan kebutuhan dan gaya belajar siswa serta melatih keterampilan digital untuk dapat memanfaatkan multi media agar proses pembelajaran dapat berjalan lebih efektif dan interaktif.

Abstract

The implementation of this community service aims to address issues in counseling services in remote secondary schools, resulting from the lack of counselors with a background in counseling education. Counselors often play the role of subject teachers, leading to suboptimal counseling implementation, causing students in need of psychosocial assistance to receive inadequate services. The form of community service utilized combines Service Learning and Community-Based Participatory approaches. Lecturers and students actively engage in developing and implementing training modules and counseling materials for adolescent peer counselors. Meanwhile, the community, particularly secondary schools and peer counselors, are invited to participate in designing and adapting modules to fit the local context and needs. The solution derived from this community service is the development of relevant and effective training modules and counseling materials to enhance the competence of peer counselors in providing support and counseling to their peers. With the existence of these modules, it is anticipated that counseling services in remote secondary schools can be improved, ensuring that students in need of psychosocial assistance are better served. In conclusion, the implementation of this community service combines the Service Learning and Community-Based Participatory approaches to address issues in counseling services in remote secondary schools. The development of training modules and counseling materials emerges as a relevant and effective solution to enhance the quality of counseling services, involving the community as partners in the decision-making process and service implementation. It is expected that this community service will have a positive impact in assisting adolescents in overcoming issues and increasing awareness and social support within the school environment. Abstract

Counseling in secondary schools plays a crucial role in providing psychosocial support and services for adolescents. However, in many schools in remote areas, the implementation of counseling faces various challenges, resulting in suboptimal counseling services. This research aims to develop a training module and counseling materials suitable for peer counselors in secondary schools. Preliminary studies indicate issues in counseling implementation, especially in remote areas, where counselors often lack a counseling education background. This limitation hinders effective counseling services for students in need. The research adopts a qualitative approach with the research and development (R&D) method. Data is collected through interviews, observations, and questionnaires from peer counselors, students, teachers, and other relevant stakeholders. The research stages include needs analysis, module design, development, limited trials, evaluation, revision, implementation, and effectiveness evaluation. The research results in a structured training module and counseling materials in the form of reading texts and PowerPoint presentations. These materials are designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of peer counselors in conducting effective counseling. The implementation of the module and counseling materials in secondary schools shows positive responses from peer counselors and students. Findings from effectiveness evaluations indicate that the training module and counseling materials positively contribute to improving peer counselors' understanding of counseling and assisting students in overcoming adolescent problems and challenges. Therefore, the development of these training modules and counseling materials is expected to serve as a useful guide and resource for peer counselors in secondary schools, particularly in remote areas, to enhance the quality of counseling services and ensure effective support for students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media based on Flora and Fauna to increase motivation and scientific literacy at the elementary level, especially at SD Negeri Latsari IV Tuban. This smart word learning media is a two-dimensional teaching aid. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. This study resulted in a Flora and Fauna-based learning media for Smart Words for elementary school children. The making of learning media is made of easily available materials such as cardboard, paperboard, and HVS paper, letters and also ordinary printed pictures. The results of the research data analysis used questionnaire data analysis, interview data analysis, observation data analysis and documentation data analysis. In the percentage of the results of the application of the Flora and Fauna based Smart Words learning media, 87% of students are happy with the learning process and with this learning media, students become more enthusiastic in learning. The Flora and Fauna-based Smart Word learning media is very suitable to be applied in learning, especially at the elementary level. This learning media is able to increase students' interest in learning and students' motivation in studying Flora and Fauna so that it becomes a fun learning process, as well as increasing the variety of learning media in the classroom.

Abstract

Introduction to mathematics in early childhood is a very important cognitive aspect to be given. One of the things that can be done is the development of innovative mathematics learning media for early childhood. This study aims to conduct a literature review related to the various uses of mathematics learning media in early childhood. Data collection was carried out by reviewing all related articles published in the 2019-2022 period. After conducting a thorough review, there were 30 reputable articles from accredited journals used in this study. The results showed that there were 27 effective learning media that could be used by teachers at the time of learning to improve early childhood math skills. The researchers found that the teachers changed the normal learning strategy to a limited face-to-face learning strategy. For example in schools, teachers as educators had their own short-time learning strategies, so the learning process can be conducted effectively. Abstract

This research aims to describe various forms of social media content that can be utilized as assignments in the teaching of Indonesian language and literature. The method used is qualitative descriptive with data analysis techniques employing literature review. The main focus of this study is to provide a concrete overview of assignments that can generate a product from students. The results categorize assignment types based on stages in UKBI (Indonesian Language Ability Test) and identify 10 types of content that can be adapted into Indonesian language and literature materials. The conclusion drawn from this research is that social media can serve as an excellent assignment medium with various contexts that can be creatively, innovatively, interactively, and productively developed.

Abstract

Abstrak. Interjeksi merupakan suatu kata sebagai sarana mengungkapkan perasaan penutur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menganalisis penggunaan interjeksi dalam novel Sirkus Pohon karya Andrea Hirata. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui jenis dan makna interjeksi yang terdapat dalam Novel Sirkus pohon. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan secara dokumentasi dan catat. Sumber data dari penelitian ini yakni novel Sirkus Pohon Karya Andrea Hirata. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kalimat-kalimat yang mengandung interjeksi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan tiga tahap (1) seleksi, (2) reduksi, dan (3) interpretasi. Hasil penelitian dari penelitian ini diperoleh 8 jenis interjeksi, yaitu (1) pujian: 6 data, (2) keheranan: 46 data (3) penyesalan: 10 data, (4) umpatan:21 data, (5) persetujuan:20 data, (6) panggilan: 21 data, (7) simpulan:1 data, dan (8) mengingat: 5 data. Penelitian interjeksi harus tetap memperhatikan konteks kalimat, karena suatu kata dapat tergolong dalam jenis interjeksi yang berbeda. Abstract. The purpose of this study is to determine the types and meanings of interjections contained in the tree circus novel. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of documentation and notes. The data source of this research is the novel Circus Tree by Andrea Hirata. The data in this study are in the form of sentences containing interjections. The data analysis technique was carried out in three stages (1) selection, (2) reduction, and (3) interpretation. The results of this study obtained 8 types of interjections, namely (1) praise: 6 data, (2) surprise: 46 data (3) regret: 10 data, (4) swearing: 21 data, (5) approval: 20 data, (6) call: 21 data, (7) conclusion: 1 data, and (8) remember: 5 data. Interjection research must still pay attention to the context of the sentence, because a word can belong to a different type of interjection.

Abstract

This study presents awareness about attitudes towards pesantren teenagers who begin to assume the small degree of scale of regulation in pesantren. Spiritual education becomes a shield for adolescent boarding schools to be able to control themselves so as not to make deviations (violations) that have become written or unwritten provisions. The research method used is a qualitative with case study. The results showed that the relevance of spirituliasm education is able to be one of the enlightenment drugs for the storage of pesantren regulations. Adolescent boarding schools are able to realize the form of mistakes, through the handling carried out by pesantren parties such as: duha prayer activities, tahajjud prayers, exemplary teachers, teacher age, and the application of classical books. The customization can have a synergic impact on the students both physically and spiritually to be able to take ibroh and understand the meaning of pesantren regulations in accordance with the goals set. So that's when a person who is faithful, intellectual, and useful to society is formed.
