Abstract

During online learning, students are generally asked to study practicum procedures that have been provided by the lecturer, then they are given raw data from practicum results in the previous semester for analysis and preparation of practicum reports. Another method used is to provide demonstration videos or use digital applications such as virtual labs. In general, students can attend lectures smoothly and well, but many also say that this method is boring because there is almost no difference with theoretical classes. The object of the research is second semester chemistry students, which consists of 1 class of chemistry program and 1 class of chemistry education program. The research begins with a pretest, then students carry out the planned learning, then ends with a posttest and filling out a questionnaire. The project in the do lab at home practicum is specified to titrate a solution of vinegar with a solution of baking soda or vice versa. Each student prepares a buffer solution with various pH according to the instructions of sub-project 1, makes an acid-base indicator solution from natural materials according to the instructions of sub-project 3, and determines the RGB ratio of a buffer solution that has been given a natural acid-base indicator using the instructions of the sub-project.  In quantity, all students upload practicum videos, with a duration ranging from 8-15 minutes.  Based on the results of the practicum videos uploaded by students, the first creativity that can be seen immediately is the composition of video editing, such as sound quality, image quality, and the addition of information in the video. In this study, in general, it can be said that students are in the development stage for the fluency-brainstorming indicator.  Just like fluency indicators, flexibility indicators are also generally still in the developing stage, they still need help in taking new perspectives. Making videos, although not the main product, can train students' skills, including creative thinking. In detail, risk taking indicators are further divided into 2, namely risk taking-1 and risk taking-2. Most of the students are at the developing level for the risk taking-1 indicator.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an application product in the form of a valid, reliable, and practical cognitive assessment for Android. The research method is based on the ADDIE procedure, which consists of five stages: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. Students in the fifth grade of an elementary school in Pemalang Regency served as research subjects. The following instruments were used in this study: observation sheets, questionnaire sheets, android-based applications, questionnaires for needs analysis and practicality, and documentation sheets. This research employs both quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques. The results indicated that (1) expert evaluation of the product (expert judgment) suggested that the instrument was feasible to test on a small scale with revisions. (2) The ten instruments are empirically reliable in small- and large-scale trials. (3) Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was used to determine the instrument's construct validity; all ten instrument constructs were valid. (4) The developed product takes the form of a functional Android application. The application product, which takes the form of an android-based cognitive assessment, demonstrates that it is valid, reliable, and practical.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an MPI based on an education game as a media of chemistry learning media.This research is constructed  with  the research design of Research and Development (R & D) with the stages of problem and potential identification, data collection, product design, design validation, product revision, product testing, revision of the design, testing and revision of product usage, so that the final product is produced. This research examines the characteristics and effectiveness of MPI based education game on learning games on colloidal system in high school.  media characteristics is achieved on MPI processes based education game, whereas the effectiveness is measured by students indicator who reach the score  ? 75 to 75% of total students, students who have a good interest reach 75% of total students, and students who have very high activity reach 75% of total students. The Results of this research is that the characteristics of MPI-based education game is an interactive computer-assisted learning media which is designed for high school students and teachers in the learning the material of colloid system which emphasise on education game, that is packaged in a CD learning with Executable format (*. Exe) and Shockwafe Flah Object (*. swf). At the pilot usage, it is found that all the effectiveness criteria are achieved. In addition, the responses of students and teachers of the MPI-based education game show a very good responses. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that MPI-based education games is effective and proper for use as a learning medium of chemistry.

Abstract

Pembelajaran di dalam kelas yang kurang melibatkan aktivitas siswa akan menyebabkan siswa bosan dan mencari kesibukan sendiri. Hal tersebut membuat siswa tidak fokus terhadap materi yang diajarkan, sehingga siswa mengalami kesulitan memahami konsep materi tersebut. Pendidik harus bisa mencari cara untuk menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang dapat membuat siswa aktif dan mudah memahami konsep materi yang diberikan agar tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas siswa dan pemahaman konsep materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together(NHT). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 1, XI IPA 2, XI IPA 3, XI IPA 4, XI IPA 5 dan XI IPA 6 SMA N11 Semarang. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pretest and postest group design. Sampel diambil dengan teknik random sampling.Hasil pengambilan sampel didapatkan kelas eksperimen (XI IPA 5) sebanyak 35 siswa dan kelas kontrol (XI IPA 6) sebanyak 36 siswa.Perhitungan hasil penelitian diperoleh data rata-rata klasikal aktivitas fisik dan mental kelas eksperimen sebesar 76.63% dan 79,57%, sedangkan rata-rata klasikal aktivitas fisik dan mental kelas kontrol sebesar 68,35% dan 63,05%. Untuk hasil penelitian pemahaman konsep diperoleh perhitungan uji observasi berpasangan thitung lebih besar dari ttabel, yaitu thitung 23,41 dan ttabel 12,71.Dari hasil uji observasi berpasangandapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa peningkatan pemahaman konsep materi siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari peningkatan pemahaman konsep materi siswa kelas kontrol.Aktivitas siswa kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan yang lebih baik dari kelas kontrol.Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dapat meningkatkan aktivitas siswa dan pemahaman konsep materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi sains siswa dan mengetahui tanggapan siswa terhadap strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan Adobe Flash pada materi redoks. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Pada kelas eksperimen digunakan strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan Adobe Flash, dan kelas kontrol menggunakan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif STAD. Pengukuran peningkatan literasi sains yaitu pada aspek konten, proses, dan konteks. Berdasarkan pretes dan postes perhitungan diukur dengan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata pada aspek konsep kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari pada kelas kontrol menggunakan uji t diperoleh 3,058 sedangkan perhitungan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata antar pada aspek konteks kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol menggunakan uji t diperoleh 4,754. Berdasarkan uji perbedaan rata-rata aspek konten dan konteks, diperoleh thitung (4) lebih dari ttabel (1), maka disimpulkan rata-rata kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari kelas kontrol. Pada aspek proses dilihat dari analisis deskriptif kelas eksperimen lebih antusias pada saat praktikum. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan Adobe Flash dapat meningkatkan literasi sains dan mendapat tanggapan baik siswa

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode pembelajaran kooperatif course review horay berbasis problem posing terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa terkait materi perhitungan kimia. Metode pembelajaran kooperatif course review horay berbasis problem posing merupakan metode yang dapat membuat siswa berpikir aktif dalam mencari dan menemukan jawaban dari suatu permasalahan. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan quasi experiment. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah posttest design dan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan clustor random sampling. Uji statistika yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, kesamaan dua varians, ketuntasan belajar, dan hipotesis. Uji ketuntasan belajar diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen adalah 78,32 dengan 35 siswa tuntas dari 38 siswa dan kelas kontrol memiliki rata-rata 72,32 dengan 22 siswa tuntas dari 38 siswa. Uji hipotesis diperoleh angka korelasi sebesar 0,52 dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 26,23%. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa metode pembelajaran kooperatif course review horay berbasis problem posing berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa terkait materi perhitungan kimia. Abstract This research aims to determine the effect of course review horay with problem posing to improve the student’s competence in stoikiometry. Learning method of cooperative course review horay with problem posing is a method of learning that can make the students to actively find the answer in a case. The type used in this research is a quasi experiment. The research design used was a posttest design and sample collection techniques using cluster random sampling. The statistic test used test normality, equality of two variances, hypothesis, completeness of learning The result of final stage of the analysis obtained an average of learning outcome experimental group is 78,32 within 35 passed students of 38 students, while the control group is 72,32 within 22 passed students of 38 students. The implementation of cooperative course review horay with problem posing on the experimental class scored a correlation of 0,52 and a coefficient of determination of 26,23%. So based on the result of the analysis from the final stage is cooperative learning course review horay with problem posing influence the student’s competence in stoikiometry. Abstract

Education is one of the sectors affected by the covid-19 virus. The teaching implementation that was originally face-to-face has been transferred to online learning or distance learning. This study aims to analyze the implementation of online chemistry lectures by both students and lecturers in the 2020/2021 academic year. The subjects of this study consisted of 65 chemistry education students for the academic year 2020/2021. This quantitative descriptive study uses a survey method through a questionnaire conducted online with the help of Google Forms. The results showed that: 1) the implementation of online chemistry lectures was going well, 2) the interaction between lecturers and students and between students was going well, 3) the platforms used were varied and according to their benefits, 4) teaching materials were presented with quality, understanding the material is quite good and the majority of student learning outcomes are in a constant range until it increases, 5) technical constraints of lectures such as signal, cellular data, other activities outside of lectures, and 6) practicum courses cannot be carried out properly because the video provided is not suitable practicum guide.

Abstract

Implementasi model pembelajaran “Wisata Lokal” dalam pembelajaran, bagi seorang guru merupakan tuntutan.  Seorang guru harus memiliki keterampilan mengkreasi pembelajarannya dengan mendayagunakan potensi lokal daerah dengan berbagai metode, media, dan bahan ajar. Hal ini akan dapat menumbuhkan nilai-nilai karakter pada peserta didik dan guru dalam rangka menunjang pembangunan nasional.  Potensi lokal daerah yang disusun kontennya dimuat dalam suatu web model pembelajaran “Wisata Lokal” berbasis potensi daerah. Penelitian ini lebih menitikberatkan implementasi model di sekolah untuk matapelajaran sain yang meliputi (IPA, Kimia, Biologi dan Fisika). Model pembelajaran “Wisata Lokal” dikembangkan melalui metode penelitian Research and Development (R&D). Pembahasan lebih rinci lebih menitikberatkan pada fase implementasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah model efektif digunakan, dan pengaruh model terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Hasil dari penelitian diperoleh data bahwa adanya nilai yang beda antara kontrol dengan perlakuan, ada pengaruh model terhadap pembelajaran, model efektif untuk digunakan.  Penelitian memberikan rekomendasi bahwa model sangat layak direkomendasikan untuk dilaksanakan dan disebarluaskan

Abstract

Facing the challenges of the 21st century, it is essential for students to have basic knowledge of science. The ability of scientific literacy relates to how students conceive the environment, health, economy, and problems of modern society which are more concerned to technology, advancement, and science development. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a scientific literacy test instrument that intends to measure students' scientific literacy skills. The objectives of this study were (1) to examine the feasibility of online scientific literacy test instrument in acid-base material, (2) analyze the level of validity and reliability of online scientific literacy test instrument in acid-based material, and (3) examine the profile of students' scientific literacy skills toward the test instrument. This Research and Development (R&D) 4D model which adapted by Thiagarajan (1974) shows the feasibility and validity of the scientific literacy test instrument with score 0.414 and 0.782, respectively. The profile of students' scientific literacy skills was in good criteria of 67%. The profiles of students' scientific literacy skills of competence aspects were 66%, 63%, and 72%, respectively.

Abstract

The scientific literacy is very important for students as a provision to face the challenges of the 21st century. The scientific literacy of students in Indonesia is low. One of the factors which causes students' scientific literacy tend to be low is that students have not been trained in answering questions with typical as on PISA. Efforts to train students to be familiar with scientific literacy include developing test instruments based on scientific literacy. This study aims to examine the feasibility and characteristics of the scientific literacy test instrument for electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions; besides, examine the profile of students' scientific literacy abilities. The type of this study was Research & Development with a 4D model which includes the stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research subjects were students of class X Science SMAN 1 Sragen. The results of the study show that (1) the scientific literacy test instrument which is developed is feasible and valid to be used with a validity of 34 of 35 questions which is declared valid and reliability of 0.86; (2) the characteristics of the test instrument is that using three aspects of scientific literacy in one question at once and can be used to determine the student's scientific literacy profile well; (3) the profile of students' scientific literacy skills is in a fairly good criterion with a percentage of 59%. The profile of students' scientific literacy abilities from the aspect of scientific competence is obtained as much as 57.21%; 59.72%; and 60.46%.
