Abstract

Moral degradation and ethical erosion in the digital era necessitate a realignment between technical competence and spiritual maturity in education. This study aims to analyze strategies for integrating 21st-century skills (the 4Cs: Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, and Communication) into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) to foster student character that is adaptive yet deeply religious. Employing a descriptive qualitative design with a case study approach, this research involved three PAI teachers at a State Junior High School in Bandung. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and document analysis of Deep Learning-based teaching modules, then analyzed using thematic and content analysis techniques. The findings reveal the phenomenon of "Competence Islamization" as a primary pedagogical strategy. Specifically, Critical Thinking is internalized as the capacity for Tabayyun (verification) to filter hoaxes; Creativity is realized through the utilization of AI for digital Syiar (propagation); Collaboration functions as a mechanism of Ta'awun (mutual assistance) in Quranic literacy; and Communication is framed by the principle of Qaulan Ma'rufan(honorable speech) to maintain digital etiquette. This study concludes that PAI serves not merely to transfer religious knowledge but acts as an ethical foundation that frames students' global competencies. The implications of this study offer a practical model for educators to bridge the gap between digital literacy and moral integrity through meaningful and reflective learning approaches.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the distribution of women’s ideologies in Indonesian Islamic novels through four dimensions of Erik Olin Wright’s class theory—class structure, class formation, class consciousness, and class struggle—strengthened by the perspectives of agency, intersectionality, and Bourdieu’s concept of cultural capital. The method employed is a qualitative approach with a content analysis design. The research data consist of narrative excerpts, dialogues, and events that represent class positions, forms of capital, and negotiation strategies of female characters. The data sources are four commercially published novels: Hati Suhita, Perempuan Berkalung Sorban, Assalamualaikum Beijing, and Dalam Mihrab Cinta. The findings show that stratification is primarily shaped by religious-cultural capital and symbolic capital, placing women in contradictory class locations: they gain recognition of social status but are constrained in authority and decision-making. Class formation shifts through experiences of life in Islamic boarding schools, marriage, education, and diasporic contexts. Class consciousness develops from acceptance toward a critical reading of gendered religious authority, while class struggle appears in the form of negotiation, identity affirmation, education/writing, and cross-positional solidarity. In conclusion, Wright’s framework is effective for comparatively mapping the dynamics of women’s class positions and is relevant as a pedagogical tool in literature learning to foster critical literacy and gender awareness.

Abstract

The phenomenon of risky sexual behavior in contemporary urban settings has undergone a significant shift due to the normalization of digital culture. This study aims to explore Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers' perceptions of adolescent sexual behavior and to examine the strategic measures undertaken to mitigate it within senior high school contexts. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with seven IRE teachers in Bandung, Indonesia, selected via purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to ensure analytical rigor. The findings reveal a normative–religious framework categorizing adolescent dating as sexual deviance based on the sadd al-dharī‘ah (blocking the means to sin) principle. Crucially, this study identifies a Parental Paradox, where parents permit heterosexual dating to prevent perceived greater deviations like LGBT. While teachers implement religious habituation and environmental engineering, effectiveness is hindered by a professional competence gap in psychological counseling. This study advocates for shifting IRE toward a religiously sensitive counseling model. Practically, educational authorities must integrate adolescent psychological competencies into the IRE curriculum to address contemporary sexuality issues more transformatively.

Abstract

One of the success of education can be seen in the development of the Pure Participation Rate (APM). Positive economic growth and a reduction in poverty levels raise questions on what factors affect the APM at the elementary, junior high and high school levels for the poor in Indonesia. The panel data model for 29 provinces and the 2011-2015 timeframe forms the basis of research data. The estimation results of the model show the coefficient of income per capita is very elastic and affects the APM for each level of education in Indonesia. Government spending on education still has the effect of increasing the APM for primary school, junior and senior high school education but has an impact that actually reduces the APM. Inequality increases the APM in Indonesia at the elementary and high school levels, whereas at the junior high level it actually lowers the APM. Finally, age at each level has an influence on middle and high school levels, but is different for elementary school levels. Keyword: Pure Participation Rate, Per capita income, government expenditure and Equality

Abstract

We present a face-recognition-based employee attendance system built on a microservices architecture and integrated with the external Worker AI (LSKK) inference API. The design separates camera I/O, verification, persistence, and presentation into independently deployable services, enabling targeted scaling and resilient operation through asynchronous queues. The system was developed using Rapid Application Development (RAD) and evaluated via black-box testing that covered authentication, camera and AI data views, filtering and pagination, reporting, and employee CRUD. The results show conformance to specifications: the interface renders the expected outputs, and the cooldown policy effectively prevents duplicate entries, while the separation of history (raw) and history_ai (verified) supports traceability and clean reporting. These findings indicate that combining microservices with API-based face recognition offers a practical and maintainable alternative to RFID-based workflows with fewer operational frictions. Limitations include the use of an external inference API (model configuration and thresholds are outside our control) and testing within a single organizational setting. Future work will focus on operational measurements of the deployed pipeline, particularly end-to-end latency under load spikes and queue formation, as well as monitoring misread/error rates to inform model improvements.
