Abstract

Leadership is a critical factor in safeguarding the development of SMEs’ marketing innovation. The literature shows that the concept of transformational leadership has gained significant scholarly attention recently. However, there is a scarcity of empirical research on the role of transformational leadership style within the context of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Additionally, existing studies mainly focus on developed countries ignoring the unique contextual setting of developing countries. In line with such a phenomenon, this study addresses the research gaps by investigating the role of transformational leadership in SMEs’ marketing innovation strategy. The scope of this study is SMEs in the Makassar region of Indonesia. In addition, this study was conducted from July 2024 to February 2025. Through the analysis of the existing studies and the preceding theoretical frameworks, this study identifies several key characteristics of transformational leadership that contribute to the innovative practices of SMEs in Makassar. As such, for theoretical implications, the finding of this study suggests that transformational leadership enhances creativity, encourages risk-taking, and fosters an organisational culture conducive to innovation, ultimately driving the growth and competitiveness of SMEs in the region. For managerial implications, this study offers several insights that may be beneficial for SME owners, especially in helping SMEs to be more highly innovative.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is an influence of work discipline on increasing employee work performance. The type of research used is Quantitative Descriptive. The data processed is the result of distributing questionnaires to employees of PT Bank Sulselbar Branch Pembantu Kahu. Using a population of 30 people and a sample of 30. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression. Based on the research results, work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee work performance at PT Bank Sulselbar Branch Pembantu Kahu.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis prediksi kebangkrutan pada perusahaan subsektor makanan dan minuman menggunakan model Altman Z-Score. Dalam konteks industri makanan dan minuman yang kompleks, fenomena kebangkrutan dapat timbul akibat fluktuasi laba dan kondisi financial distress. Model Altman Z-Score merupakan alat analisis prediktif yang telah digunakan luas dalam industri manufaktur untuk deteksi awal financial distress. Data sekunder yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi laporan keuangan neraca dan rugi laba tahunan perusahaan subsektor makanan dan minuman periode 2019–2023. Lima rasio keuangan utama yang digunakan dalam model Altman Z-Score, yakni rasio modal kerja terhadap total aset, laba ditahan terhadap total aset, EBIT terhadap total aset, nilai pasar ekuitas terhadap nilai buku hutang, dan rasio penjualan terhadap total aset, dianalisis untuk menilai potensi kebangkrutan perusahaan. Hasil analisis model Altman Z-Score menunjukkan bahwa beberapa perusahaan berpotensi mengalami financial distress, yang jika tidak segera ditangani, dapat berlanjut ke fase kebangkrutan. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan gambaran yang komprehensif tentang pentingnya implementasi model prediktif kebangkrutan dalam industri makanan dan minuman untuk mempertahankan kinerja dan stabilitas keuangan perusahaan. Implementasi model Altman Z-Score dapat membantu manajer perusahaan memprediksi dan mengantisipasi tanda-tanda awal financial distress, sehingga langkah-langkah preventif dapat diambil sebelum situasi tersebut memburuk.Kata kunci: Financial Distress, Altman Z-Score, Makanan dan MinumanAbstract. This research aims to analyze the prediction of bankruptcy in companies within the food and beverage subsector using the Altman Z-Score model. In the complex context of the food and beverage industry, bankruptcy phenomena can arise due to profit fluctuations and financial distress conditions. The Altman Z-Score model is a predictive analysis tool that has been widely used in the manufacturing industry for early detection of financial distress. The secondary data used in this study includes balance sheets and annual income statements of companies in the food and beverage subsector for the period 2019–2023. Five key financial ratios employed in the Altman Z-Score model—working capital to total assets, retained earnings to total assets, EBIT to total assets, market value of equity to book value of debt, and sales to total assets—were analyzed to assess the potential bankruptcy of these companies. The analysis results from the Altman Z-Score model indicate that several companies are at risk of experiencing financial distress, which, if not addressed promptly, could lead to bankruptcy. Thus, this study provides a comprehensive overview of the importance of implementing bankruptcy prediction models within the food and beverage industry to maintain corporate performance and financial stability. The application of the Altman Z-Score model can assist company managers in predicting and anticipating early signs of financial distress, allowing for preventive measures to be taken before situations worsen.Keywords: Financial Distress, Altman Z-Score, Food and Beverages

Abstract

Abstrak. “Strategi Pemasaran Dalam Mempertahankan Bisnis Coffee Shop di Masa Pandemi Covid-19 (Studi Kasus Anomali Coffee Makassar).” Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi pemasaran yang cocok untuk diterapkan oleh bisnis coffee shop untuk bertahan di masa pandemi Covid-19, khususnya strategi pemasaran yang diterapkan oleh Anomali Coffee Makassar. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Alat analisis yang digunakan yaitu dari model bisnis kanvas untuk pemetaan konsep dasar, PESTEL dan Five-Forces of Porter untuk analisis eksternal, dan bauran pemasaran 4P dan STP untuk analisis internal perusahaan. Untuk mendeskripsikan hasil penelitian digunakan matriks SWOT dan TOWS dengan menentukan strategi pemasaran yang cocok untuk diterapkan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan dari Anomali Coffee Makassar berada dari segi tempat yang strategis dan nyaman, dengan kualitas kopi yang digunakan berkualitas tinggi, dan untuk adaptasi di masa pandemi, menginovasikan produk minumannya dengan mengeluarkan produk botolan yang bisa di simpan oleh konsumen. Sedangkan kelemahan dari bisnis ini berada di segi bauran promosi yang belum tersampaikan dengan baik ke konsumen dan dari segi harga yang kurang bisa digapai oleh kalangan menengah ke bawah. Anomali Coffee Makassar juga memiliki peluang pasar B2B dimana jika bisa meluncurkan produk botolannya dengan harga 20 ribu dan memasarkannya di berbagai marketplace agar bisa dijangkau oleh seluruh kalangan. Sedangkan ancaman yang harus dihadapi berupa situasi pandemi yang tidak menentu hingga menurunnya daya beli masyarakat, serta pemberlakuan PPKM dari pemerintah yang membuat operasional dari kafe sangat terbatas.Kata kunci: Strategi pemasaran, coffee shop, pandemi Covid-19, Anomali Coffee Makassar.Abstract. Marketing strategies in Maintaining coffee shop business during the Covid-19 Pandemic (Case study of Anomali Coffee Makassar). This study aims to determine the appropriate marketing strategy to be applied by the coffee shop business to survive the Covid-19 pandemic, especially the marketing strategy implemented by Anomali Coffee Makassar. The research approach used in this research is to use a qualitative descriptive approach. The analytical tools used are the business model canvas for basic concept mapping, PESTEL and Five-Forces of Porter for external analysis, and the marketing mix 4P and STP for internal company analysis. To describe the research results, SWOT and TOWS matrices are used to determine the appropriate marketing strategy to be applied. The results of this study indicate that the strength of Anomali Coffee Makassar lies in its strategic and comfortable place, with high quality coffee used, and for adaptation during the pandemic, innovating its beverage products by issuing bottled products that can be stocked by consumers. Meanwhile, the weakness of this business is in terms of the promotion mix which has not been conveyed properly to consumers and in terms of prices which are less affordable for the lower middle class. Anomali Coffee Makassar also has a B2B market opportunity where if they can launch a bottled product at a price of 20 thousand rupiah and market it in various marketplaces so that it can be reached by all groups. Meanwhile, the threats that must be faced are in the form of an uncertain pandemic situation to the decline in people's purchasing power, as well as the implementation of PPKM from the government which makes the operations of cafes very limited. Abstract

The Influence Of Human Resources Competence On Employee Performance At H.M Djafar Harun Kolaka Regional General Hospital Kolaka Utara Supervised by Mr. Agung Widhi Kurniawan and Mr. Uhud Darmawan Natsir. This study aims to determine the effect of HR competence on employee performance at the H.M Djafar Harun Regional General Hospital, North Kolaka. The population in this study were all employees of the H.M Djafar Harun Kolaka Utara 208 Regional General Hospital. Sampling in this study used sample calculations with the Slovin formula where after passing the calculations a total sample of 67 employees was taken with the type of quantitative research. Data collection techniques in this study This study uses observation, questionnaires and documentation with simple linear regression analysis techniques.The results of the study show that there is a positive and significant influence of competence as a whole on employee performance with a presentation of 0.188%. This implies that the bond variable (employee performance) can be interpreted by the HR competency system by 0.188%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the financial performance of PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk based on liquidity ratios, solvency ratios, and profitability ratios in the financial statements for the period 2017-2021. This type of research is qualitative. The population of this study is the financial statements of PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk for the 2017-2021 period. And the sample in this study is the balance sheet and income statement of PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk for the 2017-2021 period. Data collection techniques were carried out by documentation and literature studies by obtaining archival documents, journals, books, as well as professional insights that had insight into the research topic. In this study, the authors used a quantitative descriptive technique using existing ratios with certain formulas. The results of this study show a decrease in financial ratios such as quick ratios and cash ratios which indicate problems within the company or bank. A stable DER indicates that the bank relies on the use of debt to finance its operations, and there are fluctuations in ROA and ROE indicating the challenges and opportunities faced by the company.

Abstract

Bankruptcy prediction using the springate method is one way that companies can do to determine company bankruptcy. The goal is that the company can find out the potential for bankruptcy of the company in a certain year or period and also the company can find out what things can put the company in the danger zone or have the potential to go bankrupt. In this study, the type of research used is descriptive quantitative and the research method used is the springate method with the variables consisting of 4 ratios, namely the ratio of working capital to assets (X1), the ratio of earnings before interest and taxes to total assets (X2), the ratio profit before tax to total current liabilities (X3) and ratio of sales to total assets (x4). The results of the calculations from this study are that from 2016 to 2019 the company is in the danger zone or has the potential to go bankrupt but in the last 2 years, namely in 2020 and 2021 the company started in fairly good condition or there is no potential for bankruptcy at the company.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh kepemimpinan terhadap displin kerja di Dinas Perhubungan Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan merupakan penelitian populasi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah pegawai pada Kantor Dinas Perhubungan Kota Makassar sebanyak 43 orang. Uji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana dan mendapatkan hasil yaitu: Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji analisis regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan variabel kepemimpinan berpengaruh terhadap displin kerja di Kantor Dinas Perhubungan Kota Makassar. Kata kunci: Kepemimpinan, displin kerjaAbstract: This research is to find out whether there is an influence of leadership on work discipline in the Dinas Perhubungan Kota Makassar. Abstract

UMKM memiliki kontribusi besar terhadap perekonomian Indonesia, namun banyak di antaranya masih menghadapi tantangan dalam membangun daya saing di pasar digital, khususnya dalam aspek branding dan packaging produk. Berdasarkan data Kementerian Koperasi dan UKM (2023), UMKM menyumbang lebih dari 61% terhadap PDB nasional, namun laporan Katadata (2023) menunjukkan bahwa 73,5% UMKM kesulitan bersaing di platform digital, dengan branding dan kemasan produk sebagai hambatan utama. Melihat realitas ini, program pelatihan "Peningkatan Branding dan Packaging Produk UMKM untuk Meningkatkan Daya Saing di Pasar Digital" dilaksanakan di Desa Kassi, Kecamatan Rumbia, Kabupaten Jeneponto. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyampaian materi, diskusi interaktif, praktik desain kemasan, serta simulasi pemotretan produk. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan: peserta kini memiliki identitas merek yang konsisten, dan beberapa peserta melaporkan peningkatan penjualan online pasca pelatihan. Pelatihan ini membuktikan bahwa peningkatan branding dan packaging mampu mendorong UMKM menjadi lebih kompetitif di pasar digital. Ke depan, keberlanjutan program serupa serta dukungan dari berbagai pihak diharapkan dapat memperkuat transformasi digital UMKM secara lebih luas.

Abstract

This study explores the challenges and opportunities of adopting Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) within Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Makassar, Indonesia. Drawing on in-depth interviews with 28 stakeholders across various sectors, the research reveals significant constraints, including limited financial resources, lack of HR specialization, and low awareness of GHRM practices. A perceived disconnect between environmental initiatives and immediate business benefits compounds these limitations. However, the study also uncovers context-specific opportunities rooted in local cultural values such as siri’ na pacce (honor and compassion) and kearifan lokal (local wisdom), which may serve as effective entry points for GHRM adoption. The findings suggest that incremental, culturally grounded approaches, supported by community networks and localized tools, are more viable than top-down models. This research provides practical insights for policymakers, business owners, and scholars seeking to promote sustainable human resource management (HRM) practices in developing regional economies.
