Abstract

The availability of tourist maps so far has experienced limitations in presenting attribute data in the form of non-spatial characteristics. Tourism is called quality if it can convey the information the community needs. Among them are location attributes, land use, natural and cultural phenomena history, and interrelationships between spaces. Geographical and cultural features are essential to be used in realizing quality tourism through the availability of information on tourism space areas, such as visualization of landscapes and depth of local cultural knowledge. This study used a qualitative method with data collection techniques carried out through interviews, focus group discussions, landscape documentation, surveys, and observations to determine the geographical position of spatial elements. The results of the study produced Itinerary Maps and geosite distribution, including the Saddang River, Buntu Lindo Batu, Lo'ko Malillin, Buntu Lingkobo, Mount Benteng Alla™, Buntu Karua, and Kalosi Arabica Coffee Cultivation. The row of geosites has a chronology and chronology of formation and is related to the social culture of the people in the Fort Alla™ area. The findings from this study are expected to provide exposure to the public, tourists, and the government to preserve natural and cultural heritage to become a reference in implementing sustainable tourism development in Enrekang Regency. It is necessary to develop a digital-based information system that presents spatial attribute data and ethnographic records that can be accessed online. Keyword: Tourism Geography, Ethnography, Benteng Alla™, GIS

Abstract

This study examines the effect of earnings persistence on earnings response coefficient with the role of information asymmetry as a moderating variable in strengthening or weakening its effect. The data used comes from the company's financial statements gathered from the Indonesia Stock Exchange website. The samples used are manufacturing companies starting from the 2021-2023 period. This research uses a purposive sampling method. The study results indicate that earnings persistence has a positive effect on the earnings response coefficient (ERC), and information asymmetry is empirically proven to weaken the positive impact of persistence on ERC. This study provides advice to shareholders to encourage management to reduce information asymmetry through increased transparency and disclosure of financial statements. With low information asymmetry, it increases earnings persistence which then provides earnings power as a tool for predicting future earnings which consequently provides an increase in ERC.

Abstract

The engaging and personalized nature from short video makes it quickly popular, yet concerns persist about their potential to diminish critical thinking skills. This study investigates whether short videos with educational content can improve students' critical thinking skills. Using a quasi-experiment method, Thirty-three participants were divided into control and experimental groups, with critical thinking measured using the Holistic Critical Thinking Scoring Rubric (HCTSR) based on essay analysis in pretest and posttest. After administering educational short videos to the experimental group, the results showed that there was an increase in students' critical thinking skills, shown by the result of controlling the pretest variable through the ANCOVA test with a p-value of <0.001. The result highlights the potential of educational short videos as tools for fostering critical thinking by providing interventions which prioritize treatment fidelity through standardized protocols (SOPs) for content delivery, validating assessment tools, and structuring content design. Recommendations for future research include larger sample sizes, repeated data collection at strategic intervals, and rigorous validation of question complexity.

Abstract

The strength and durability that can be achieved by concrete depends on factors such as the quality of the aggregates. This study presents the effect of zone gradation and size of fine aggregates of sea sand as a mixing material for concrete production by the method of aggregate incorporation that will produce maximum compressive strength of concrete. The most important thing in the use of beach sand is the compressive strength of the concrete. If the compressive strength of the test is high, the other properties will be good. The factors that affect the compressive strength of concrete consist of the quality of materials, cement water, aggregates, working methods such as mixing, compaction and curing and the age of testing based on (SNI 03-6468-2000). The application of marine sand as a concrete mix will have a positive impact on coastal and island communities, which have difficulty obtaining sand from rivers.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the performance of vertical-axis wind turbines (VAWTs) with three different configurations, including Savonius, Darrieus, and a Savonius-Darrieus hybrid wind turbine, using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. The methodology involves 3D geometry modeling, simulation parameter setup, meshing, and post-simulation analysis using SolidWorks 2022 software. The simulation results indicate that the Savonius turbine achieves the highest power coefficient (Cp) and torque coefficient (Ct) among the three designs, with a maximum Cp value of 0.5 at a Tip-Speed Ratio (TSR) of 0.4. Conversely, the hybrid turbine demonstrates lower efficiency, although it theoretically offers potential for improving performance at low wind speeds. Pressure and flow velocity distributions reveal that the Savonius turbine maintains the most stable pressure pattern compared to the other configurations. These findings highlight the potential of the Savonius turbine as a small-scale renewable energy solution, particularly in urban areas with low wind speeds. Further research is recommended to optimize hybrid turbine designs using machine learning approaches and empirical validation through field experiments to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 7, affordable and clean energy.
