Abstract

This study examines the influence of teachers’ competency and organizational culture on teacher performance in state senior high schools in Cengal District. A quantitative approach was employed using questionnaires, observations, and documentation to collect data from 42 teachers. Analysis using simple and multiple regression techniques in SPSS 26 revealed that teachers’ competency significantly influences performance (R² = 46.3%), while organizational culture also has a moderate influence (R² = 40.4%). Combined, these variables account for 68.1% of the variance in teacher performance. These findings underscore the importance of professional development programs and fostering a strong organizational culture to improve educational outcomes.

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui valid, praktis,dan efektif. Media pembelajaran pipet pada materi kerangka bangun ruang untuk siswa kelas V SD. Metode yang digunakan penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan Research and Deveploment (RnD) . Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE terdiri dari Analysis, Design, Development Implementation dan Evaluation). Teknik Pengumpulan data yang dipakai pada penelitian ini adalah tes, dokumentasi, angket (kuisioner). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ll yaitu menggunakan teknik analisis data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa : 1) Hasil Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Pipet pada Materi Kerangka Bangun Ruang untuk Siswa Kelas V SD adalah valid. Hal ini diperoleh melalui data lembar angket validasi dengan hasil analisis dan nilai rata-rata persentase kevalidan Ahli Media 90%, Ahli Meteri 91% dan respon Guru 94%. 2) Hasil Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Pipet pada Materi Kerangka Bangun Ruang untuk Siswa Kelas V SD adalah praktis. Hal ini diperoleh melalui data angket siswa dengan hasil analisis dan nilai rata-rata persentase kepraktisan One To One 80% dan Small Grup 85%. 3) Hasil Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Pipet pada Materi Kerangka Bangun Ruang untuk Siswa Kelas V SD adalah Efektif. Hal ini diperoleh melalui data tes dengan hasil analisis dan nilai rata-rata persentase sebesar 86%.

Abstract

Effective learning planning requires information on the obstacles to learning a given concept that students experience to create a learning flow that matches the students’ characters, including in the learning of the concepts of relations and functions. The research aims to determine the learning obstacles (LOs) that students experience in learning the concepts of relations and functions as per the criteria of the theory of didactic situations (TDS). Employing the case study method, this qualitative research was conducted with subjects that included 19 prospective teacher students who had taken a diagnostic test and participated in in-depth interviews. An analysis was conducted based on three TDS criteria, namely action, formulation, and validation. The results revealed two types of LOs that students experienced in learning the concepts of relations and functions: 1) ontogenic obstacles and 2) epistemological obstacles. The first type of obstacles included 1a) the inability to properly understand the definition of the intersection of two relations, referred to as conceptual ontogenic obstacle, and 1b) the inability to relate the concept of relations in drawing a Hasse diagram, referred to as instrumental ontogenic obstacle. Meanwhile, the second type included 2a) the difficulty in expressing relations in the forms of mapping diagrams and graphs, 2b) the difficulty in determining the range of ​​a function, 2c) the difficulty in identifying relations which are also functions, 2d) the inability to represent relations in the forms of mapping diagrams, and 2e) the inability to write a function as a set of ordered pairs. It is recommended that these LO findings be taken into consideration in designing learning tools.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop teaching materials using an IT-based PMRI approach for junior high school students. The type of this research was a research and development model. This study employed the ADDIE development model consisting of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The teaching materials were validated by material experts and media experts before being tested. In addition, this study involved a student response questionnaire investigating the IT-based teaching materials. The validity of teaching materials revealed an average score of 4.40 determined by the results of the teaching material assessment conducted by two expert lecturers, and an average score of 4.80, determined by the results of the teaching material assessment conducted by mathematics teachers at SMP Negeri 56 Palembang. The practicality of teaching materials (student books) had an average score of 4.27 determined by the students' responses to teaching materials. The results of validating material experts, media experts, subject teachers, and student response questionnaires indicated that the teaching materials developed were valid and practical. Overall, this study has shown that the teaching materials developed are very suitable for learning. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan soal matematika model PISA untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa sekolah dasar (SD) yang valid dan praktis; (2) mengetahui efek potensial soal matematika model PISA terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SD. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (development research) tipe formative evaluation. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VI.E SD Xaverius 1 Palembang sebanyak 37 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah walk through untuk mengetahui validitas soal secara konten, konstruk, dan bahasa; dokumen untuk mengetahui kepraktisan soal; tes dan wawancara untuk mengetahui efek potensial soal matematika model PISA terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) penelitian ini telah menghasilkan suatu produk soal matematika model PISA untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SD yang valid dan praktis. Valid tergambar dari hasil penilaian validator yang menyatakan bahwa soal sudah baik secara konten (sesuai dengan ciri PISA dan indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis), konstruk (mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis, kaya dengan konsep, sesuai dengan level siswa kelas VI SD, mengundang pengembangan konsep lebih lanjut), dan bahasa (sesuai dengan EYD, soal tidak berbelit belit, soal tidak mengandung penafsiran ganda, batasan pertanyaan dan jawaban jelas). Selain itu kevalidan soal juga tergambar dari hasil analisis butir soal pada siswa non subjek penelitian. Praktis tergambar dari hasil uji coba pada small group dimana sebagian besar siswa dapat memahami soal dengan baik; (2) prototipe soal matematika model PISA yang dikembangkan memiliki efek potensial yang positif terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SD, hal ini terlihat dari skor rata-rata siswa yang mencapai 47,89 dari skor maksimal 82 (termasuk kategori kemampuan komunikasi matematis baik) pada indikator komunikasi matematis, yaitu menghubungkan benda nyata, gambar, atau diagram ke dalam ide matematika; menjelaskan ide, situasi, atau relasi matematika dengan benda nyata, gambar, atau diagram; kemampuan dalam menggunakan istilah-istilah, notasi-notasi, atau simbol matematika dan struktur-strukturnya untuk menyajikan ide-ide; menarik kesimpulan, menyusun bukti, memberikan alasan atau bukti terhadap solusi. Berdasarkan wawancara dengan siswa bahwa soal matematika model PISA ini dapat menstimulasi mereka untuk mengkomunikasikan jawabannya secara tertulis dengan memberikan gambar, penjelasan, alasan, dan bukti.DOI: 10.22342/jpm.5.1.334

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa berdasarkan pendekatan PMRI dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP di kota Palembang, dengan sampel siswa kelas IX yang diambil secara acak dari sekolah terakreditasi A, B, dan C tahun pelajaran 2009/2010. Instrumen penelitian adalah tes kemampuan pemahaman matematis bentuk uraian. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t dan uji ANAVA dua jalur. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa 1) peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan pendekatan PMRI lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional, 2) peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan pendekatan PMRI lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional berdasarkan akreditasi sekolah, 3) terdapat interaksi antara pendekatan dan peringkat sekolah terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis.DOI: 10.22342/jpm.6.2.4086.30-44

Abstract

This development research was conducted in order to (1) develop valid and practical computer-based interactive learning materials on circles and (2) identify their effect on the leraning outcomes after they learned the materials at SMP Nurul Iman Palembang. The subjects of this research were the 34 students class VII. 7 of this school. The data were collected from walk through, documentation, observation and language. The average results were 87,11%. The materials were practical as shown by one to one try outs. The stedents achieved an average score of 73,33 that feel in the good range, and were involved the learning activities the very active (66,7%) and active (33,3%) ranges. In small group work, the students achieved an average score of 73,33 (good category) and showed levels of very active (50%). The rest were active (16,67%), fairly active (16,67%) and less active (16,67%) resepectively. Based on field test results, the materials gave effect on the students’ potential and learning outcomes. The final results of the students’ achievement were as follow : very good (20,59%), good (58,8%), adn fair (20,59%). In term of their activity levels, they were grouped into very active (27,45%), active (45,10%) and fairly active (27,45%). DOI: https://doi.org/10.22342/jpm.8.1.1861.55-70

Abstract

This study aims to describe the influence of the principal’s leadership toward the quality of service at SMA Subrayon 01 Palembang. This research used quantitative descriptive approach with 62 respondents and got data by using questionnaire, observation, and documentation, the data gotten were tested by using prerequisite test and analyzed by using linear regression analysis. The result of the study showed that the principal’s leadership influnced highly toward the quality of service at SMA Subrayon 01 Palembang. In conclusion, the principal has a high level of commitment to the quality of service at SMA Subrayon 01 Palembang Keywords: the principal’s leadership; the quality of service

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the accelerated class program, find out the supporting factors, inhibiting factors and how to overcome the obstacles in implementing the accelerated class program in improving the quality of graduates at MAN 3 Palembang. Research using descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The objects of research were representatives of the curriculum sector, class program coordinators, teachers and students of MAN 3 Palembang. Data were analyzed by means of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. Research result ; The implementation of the accelerated class program has gone well; Supporting factors are support from the government, community, parents, adequate facilities and infrastructure, as well as a conducive madrasah environment; The constraining factor is the heavier learning load; Ways to overcome obstacles are counseling guidance, better learning facilities, teachers using a variety of learning methods, and holding outbound programs every grade increase. The quality of graduates is that all students pass one hundred percent and are accepted at state universities and official schools. In conclusion, the implementation of the accelerated class program at MAN 3 Palembang has gone well. Keywords: Acceleration, Implementation, and quality of graduates
