The term "Al-Mishbah," which literally means "lamp" or "light," has profound implications in both spiritual and moral contexts. In this research, the author explores how "Al-Mishbah" functions as a symbol of divine illumination that provides guidance to humanity. Using Izutsu's semantic approach, this article identifies the connections between "Al-Mishbah" and other concepts in Islamic thought, such as "nur" (light) and "iman" (faith), while highlighting the importance of the pursuit of truth and moral integrity in daily life. The purpose of this research is to explore the various dimensions of the meaning of "Al-Mishbah" within the context of the Islamic worldview and how this term serves as a symbol of divine guidance for humanity. The research method employed in this study is qualitative analysis with a semantic approach, encompassing the study of Qur'anic texts, interpretations of Hadith, and literature related to Toshihiko Izutsu's thought. The author also examines the relationship of "Al-Mishbah" with other concepts in Islamic thought, such as "nur" (light) and "iman." Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to identify the main characteristics of Sufistic interpretation and analyze its methods of interpretation of Qur'anic verses as well as their influence on Islamic spirituality. The research method used is library research, which includes document analysis and literature review of works of sufistic interpretation, especially those written by figures such as Ibn Arabi and Jalaluddin Rumi. This study also involves a comparative analysis between sufistic interpretation and conventional interpretation to explore differences in approach and emphasis. The results of the study show that sufistic interpretation has two layers of meaning: the meaning of birth (zahir) and the meaning of the inner (bathin). The sharia dimension provides legal guidelines, while the Sufism dimension opens up space for deeper spiritual understanding. Methods of interpretation in sufistic interpretation, such as ta'wil and contemplation, allow individuals to not only understand the text intellectually, but also feel the Divine presence in their lives. This study found that Sufistic interpretation plays an important role in enriching Islamic spirituality, encouraging people to deepen their relationship with God and live the teachings of the Qur'an in a more personal and transformative way. The significance of this research lies in its contribution to broadening the horizons of Qur'anic interpretation, particularly from a sufistic perspective, as well as demonstrating the relevance of this approach in the spiritual life of Muslims in the contemporary era. This research is expected to provide inspiration for further research on the relationship between sacred texts and spiritual experiences in the Islamic tradition.

Abstract

The Quran contains the concept of balanced nutrition in several of its verses, including in Surah Al-Baqarah 168, Surah Al-A'raf verse 31 and Surah Abasa verse 24. The interpretation of Surah Abasa verse 24 and its relation to nutrition there are still differences among scholars of interpretation. This research uses a qualitative approach, this type of research is descriptive analytical. The term linguistics refers to the science that studies language and analyzes it scientifically. The reinterpretation theory used in this research is Abdullah Saeed's theory. The word nazara and its derivations have a dominant meaning related to the activity of the five senses, namely vision. However, not only limited to physical observation, this seeing activity also involves the heart and mind, which makes it more than just ordinary observation. The word tha'am and its various derivatives are mentioned 48 times in the Quran, and cover various aspects related to food, including the type, method of consumption, and its role in daily life. In this study, researchers want to provide a reinterpretation of the 2 words so that the meaning of the verse becomes an order to humans to pay attention to the nutritional content of their food. The order that humans pay more attention to their food patterns and portions so as to avoid various diseases due to unbalanced nutrition.

Abstract

Technological advancements are increasingly shaping daily life. This includes the dissemination of information, with Muslims utilizing technology for Islamic da'wah, particularly Qur'anic interpretation (Tafsīr). While traditionally accessed through physical prints, Tafsīr is now readily available on websites. This study analyzes the sources, methods, and patterns of interpretation employed by http://muslimah.or.id. Employing a qualitative research method with a descriptive-qualitative approach, the study reveals several key features of the website's Tafsīr approach. Interpretations focus on individual letters, specific themes, and contemporary Muslim women's issues. Authors cite reference sources, and interpretations are diverse, reflecting at least four distinct methods. The website incorporates both traditional (bi al-Maʼthūr) and rational (bi al-Ra'y) methods, drawing from classical Tafsīr works like Jalalain, at-Ṭabarī, and Ibn Kathīr. Notably, the website utilizes thematic (Mawḍūʻī) and comparative (Muqāran) approaches. The website prioritizes socio-literary (Adabī ijtimāʻī) aspects, focusing on linguistic, literary, and socio-cultural contexts. However, the inconsistent nature of interpretations due to the website's multiple contributors presents a potential challenge.
