Student management is a process for managing all forms of activities related to students and other resources in order to achieve educational goals effectively and efficiently. There are several management principles for students: 1) All activities must refer to applicable regulations. 2) Can be viewed as part of the overall management of the institution. 3) More intended to unite students who have a variety of backgrounds and differences to then be directed to understand and respect each other. 4) In its activities, student management is directed as an effort to regulate the potential development of students. 5) In the management of student activities must be able to encourage and spur the potential independence of students. 6) The life activities of students, both at school and in the future, student management must run functionally.

This study aims to determine the steps taken by the head of the department in creating a conducive communication climate in the Jambi City Archives and Library Office and to describe the supporting and inhibiting factors. Using qualitative methods with the type of case study research. The research subjects were the head of the department, the head of the field, employees, cleaning service and security officers. Data collection techniques are interviews. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: (1) the steps taken by the head of the service in creating a communication climate when viewed from the dimensions of the communication climate such as support, decision-making participation, trust, openness and candor and the achievement of high performance resulted that the communication climate there was already running conducive overall. However, there are still employees who do not carry out the work given. (2) The supporting factors are the support and motivation of the head of service towards subordinates and preparing the facilities and infrastructure needed in the work. The leaders also monitor and ask about the obstacles they face. The inhibiting factor is the unbalanced number of employees with supervision so that there is often a misunderstanding of perceptions between leaders and employees as well as between employees in the delivery and implementation of tasks, there are employees who do work that is not in accordance with their main duties and responsibilities, and there are also employees who are always reluctant to their leaders and fellow workers which makes communication difficult.

Staff career planning is an important thing to be thought of and executed by the leadership. Because without careful planning, staff careers will slowly develop and will slow down to the position he wants, it will certainly harm the staff concerned and also the organization. Career planning has at least two scopes, namely: 1. Planning of rank or rank of employee. 2. Planning the goals of the organization or company. To achieve the planned objectives, it takes seriousness of the staff concerned to work seriously and seriously the leadership in creating and implementing the program and direct the staff to work in accordance with the desired. Preparation of a good career planning needs to pay attention to four main issues, namely: 1. Position of principal and supporting positions. 2. Pattern career path pattern. 3. Describing the public relations strategy in carrying out activities to receive new students in SMA 7 Merangin is the purpose of this study, as well as about the factors and constraints when conducting socialization of the acceptance of new students. The nature of this research is qualitative research using case study research. The object of research is Merangin 7 Public High School with the Principal and Deputy Principal, especially in the field of Public Relations, as well as representatives of students of class X, XI, XII as the subjects of this study. Retrieval of data using observation techniques, interviewing, and documenting which is then followed by reducing the data that has been obtained following the presentation and verification so that conclusions can finally be drawn. In addition, the Triangulation technique is also used to test the validity of the data that has been obtained from this study. As for the results of this study: (1) the Public Relations Program of Merangin 7 Public High School has been well structured, but there is no surefire strategy in accepting new students; (2) Techniques in implementing the school public relations management strategy, namely school publications through the installation of banners / billboards, outreach, and through social media; (3) The implementation of the Public Relations 7 Merangin Public Relations management strategy has not been fully achieved, there are strategies that are not implemented, namely socialization; (4) The limiting factors are time and lack of human resources and the background of the school which was originally a private school

Teacher performance is an effort and the ability of teachers to carry out their duties and responsibilities at school during learning activities and can provide encouragement and influence to students with the aim that learning objectives can be achieved and run well and as expected which is shown in appearance, actions , and his work performance. Teacher performance is determined by four factors, namely: (1) environment; (2) individual characteristics; (3) organizational characteristics; and (4) job characteristics. Some of the efforts that the principal can make to improve teacher performance are: (1) Teacher performance guidance, (2) Supervision of teacher performance, (3). Providing motivation, (4). Evaluating teacher performance.

This study aims to determine the improvement of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in Economics lessons through the Inquiry model in class X students. IPS.1 Tanjung Jabung Timur 9 High School. This research was conducted in Tanjung Jabung Timur 9 High School in the academic year 2018/2019. This research is classroom action research with research procedures covering the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were all students of class X. IPS.1 Tanjung Nabung Timur High School 9 9 which consisted of 36 students consisting of 16 male students and 20 female students. The object of this research is the application of the Inquiry model to improve Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Data collection techniques used were observation, interview, documentation, journal and test assessment. Analysis of data obtained by calculating the percentage of graduation of students in high-level thinking skills. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in Higher Order Thinking Skills in Economics in class X students. IPS.1 SMA N 9 Tanjung Jabung Timur. It can be seen that the average increase and graduation from cycle to cycle. In the first cycle the percentage of student graduation was 36.11% and HOTS was 13, and in the second cycle it increased by 41.67% with HOTS as many as 15.

Career development is a demand and the needs of both the employer / employee and for the organization. For employee career development is the way to grow and achieve successes in work, whereas for the organization of career development is an attempt to bring the employee / employees who are professional and have experience of working stages.Career development is the effort made by the organization in planning for a career employees, referred to as career management, including planning, implementing, and overseeing the careers (Sinambela, 2016: 260). Career development is a series of activities to prepare an individual on a planned career advancement (Mondy, 1993).Samsudin (2010: 151-152) explains that the development of a career as a human resources management activities is the realization of the individual as a worker relationship with the organization. To realize the career self-management, the necessary conditions: a. Awareness and understanding of the work that every job always provides an opportunity to grow and progress. b. Each worker must understand the responsibility for career development is an individual responsibility that each individual should perform self-management career. c. Each worker is always aware and understand that it is not easy for society together to provide a form of career positions available.Keywords: Career development, human resources.

Abstract:This study aimed to determine the implementation of classroom management, and to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors in improving the students’ learning outcomes. This research used qualitative method which focused on interviewing the principal and teachers. The data were analyzed through classifying the data, coding and theme creation, then presenting the results. The finding of this study indicated that classroom management had impact on students’ learning outcomes. There were also some supporting factors, such as coordination and motivation from the school and parents who had big part in encouraging the improvement of the students’ learning outcomes. However, there were inhibiting factors, such as learning environment which was not conducive.Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan implementasi manajemen kelas, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang berfokus pada wawancara kepala sekolah dan guru. Data dianalisis melalui pengklasifikasian data, pengkodean dan pembuatan tema, kemudian menyajikan hasilnya. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa manajemen kelas berdampak pada hasil belajar siswa. Terdapat juga beberapa faktor pendukung, seperti koordinasi dan motivasi dari sekolah dan orang tua yang berperan besar dalam mendorong peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Namun, ada beberapa faktor penghambat, seperti lingkungan belajar yang tidak kondusif.

Abstract:This research aimed to find out the effect of learning motivation and parents' socio-economic status on the students’ interest to continue study in master degree at Education Administration Study Program in Jambi University. This research used quantitative approach with survey research design. The population was the students of Education Administration Study Program batch 2015 and 2016 in Jambi University which consisted of 71 students. This study used the entire population as sample to obtain more accurate and reliable data. Closed questionnaire using Likert scale was the instrument of collecting data. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistical analysis. The findings indicated that there was influence of learning motivation on the students’ interest to continue study in master degree, there was influence of parents' socioeconomic status on the students’ interest to continue study in master degree, and there was influence of learning motivation and parents' socioeconomic status toward the students’ interest to continue study in master degree.Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi belajar dan status sosial ekonomi orang tua terhadap minat belajar siswa untuk melanjutkan studi S2 di Program Studi Administrasi Pendidikan Universitas Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian survei. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Administrasi Pendidikan angkatan 2015 and 2016 di Universitas Jambi yang terdiri dari 71 mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan seluruh populasi sebagai sampel untuk mendapatkan data yang lebih akurat dan dapat diandalkan. Kuesioner tertutup menggunakan skala Likert adalah instrumen pengumpulan data. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap minat siswa untuk melanjutkan studi di tingkat magister, ada pengaruh status sosial ekonomi orang tua terhadap minat siswa untuk melanjutkan studi di tingkat magister, dan ada pengaruh motivasi belajar dan status sosial ekonomi orang tua terhadap minat siswa untuk melanjutkan studi di tingkat master.

This research was conducted in one state senior high school in Jambi city aiming to get the whole picture about the methods of teachers in teaching Arabic vocabulary. We used a qualitative study with a case study approach. The participants of this research were teachers who taught Arabic vocabulary. The data were collected through interviews, documentation, and observation. The results showed that the methods used by the teachers in teaching Arabic vocabulary were mostly lecturing and demonstration. The obstacles faced by the teachers in Arabic vocabulary teaching were covered in several points namely, limited time allocation, teacher education background, infrastructure and lack of student interest in religious learning and expanding Arabic knowledge. We also presented the efforts by teachers to overcome the obstacles such as to motivate the students by telling them the importance of Arabic in international community as one of international students, to give practice tasks implementation, to sustainable evaluation and task.
