Abstract

Research aims: This study aims to examine the influence of market pressure on green strategy and green production while also looking at its impact on MSMEs' sustainability. The authors also investigate the indirect influence of market pressure on green production through the mediating role of green strategy.Design/Methodology/Approach: This study was carried out on batik craft, fashion, and convection MSMEs oriented to the green concept in West Java Province, with a number of samples of 185 MSMEs. The data obtained were then analyzed using the structural equation modeling technique with SmartPLS software.Research findings: The results of this study demonstrated the positive influence of market pressure on green strategy and green production, and both influenced MSMEs' sustainability. Furthermore, green strategy has been proven to have a positive influence on green production and could mediate the influence of market pressure on green production.Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This study contributes to the literature by widening the antecedent of green strategy, green production, and MSMEs sustainability from the external side, namely market pressure, which is rarely elaborated.Practitioners/Policy Implications: Managers and owners of batik craft, fashion, and convection MSMEs must prepare themselves to answer the calls for sustainability that come from their stakeholders, such as the market and government. Green strategy and green production must be incorporated into their business to achieve sustainability.Research Limitations/Implications: This study has not yet considered the existence of moderating variables, such as firm size, government regulation, or organizational competitiveness. These additional variables can be a sign for firms to understand when the time is to implement their strategy to achieve sustainability according to the underlying conditions of the moderators.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of organizational creativity strategies in improving positional advantage in Vocational High Schools (SMK) Centers of Excellence in West Java, by considering the influence of Organizational Creativity and Partnership Program. This study uses a quantitative approach with a data collection tool in the form of a questionnaire distributed to 165 schools from a total of 288 SMK Centers of Excellence in West Java. Sampling was carried out using a stratified random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method, using a Likert measurement scale to assess the variables in the study. The results showed that Organizational Creativity and Partnership Program had a significant influence on positional advantage, with Partnership Program having a greater impact. The main finding of this study is the importance of strengthening organizational creativity in dealing with the dynamics of the external and internal environments of schools. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of two factors Organizational Creativity and Partnership Program—in developing positional advantage in SMK, which has not been widely discussed in previous literature.

Abstract

Family business is a business that is run jointly by family members. The purpose of this study is to determine the succession process and the relationship between parents and children in the family business precisely in the Trusmi Cirebon batik center. The method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, documentation and observation of four informants or sources namely Batik Ninik Ichsan, Batik EB, Batik Katura, and Batik Trusmi. The results of the research on Batik Ninik Ichsan, Batik Trusmi, Batik Katura, and Traditional Batik EB found that the succession process carried out was unplanned, but the parents provided mentoring to make batik at school age, except for Batik Trusmi who only learned it after marriage. In the aspect of parent-child relationship, it is known that Batik Ninik Ichsan, Batik Trusmi, and Batik Katura are in a good relationship because there is no pressure on their children to participate in continuing their parents' business, but business continuity is carried out naturally and there is support from the environment. This is different from Batik EB, where there was a conflict within the family due to Hisham's parents' decision to hand over EB's batik business to Hisham. However, a solution was immediately found so that it was back in good condition.

Abstract

This study addresses the subject matter of declining public confidence in local governments in Indonesia, primarily due to issues in public service delivery, highlighting the urgent need for improved integrated social services. The objective is to analyze the mediating effect of enterprise architecture orientation on the influence of environmental turbulence, flexibility strategy, business model innovation, and digital transformation on social service performance in West Java. Methods involved a survey explanatory approach with all 27 social service providers in West Java Province, employing whole population sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and hypothesis testing using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results indicate that environmental turbulence, flexibility strategy, business model innovation, and digital transformation significantly impact social service performance when mediated by enterprise architecture orientation. The conclusions suggest that a robust model emphasizing strategic architectural orientation and effective implementation of flexibility, innovation, and digital transformation can enhance social service performance amidst environmental challenges. This study contributes to understanding the complex dynamics of social service provision in local governments, advocating for strategic investments in enterprise architecture and adaptive strategies to improve public service delivery and restore public trust.

Abstract

This study investigates the factors influencing the sustainability performance of shopping malls in West Java, Indonesia, emphasizing the roles of ambidexterity orientation, strategic flexibility, and distinctive advantage. Employing a quantitative research method with a survey design, data were collected from mall managers, directors, and operational decision-makers. A structured questionnaire, based on validated constructs, measured ambidexterity orientation, strategic flexibility, distinctive advantage, and sustainability performance. The analysis used Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate the relationships among these variables. The findings indicate that ambidexterity orientation significantly enhances strategic flexibility, which, in turn, positively impacts sustainability performance. While ambidexterity orientation does not directly influence sustainability performance, its effect is fully mediated by strategic flexibility and distinctive advantage. Furthermore, strategic flexibility strongly contributes to developing distinctive advantages, which significantly drive sustainability outcomes. The results emphasize the importance of managerial adaptability and the strategic alignment of resources and capabilities in achieving long-term sustainability goals. This research provides actionable insights for shopping mall management, highlighting the need for innovation-driven strategies, resource optimization, and customer-centric approaches. By advancing the understanding of sustainability performance dynamics in an emerging market context, this study offers theoretical contributions and practical recommendations for enhancing competitive and sustainable operations.

Green strategy practices have become a major concern for many companies seeking to achieve competitive advantage. This study aims to explore the influence of green strategy on social innovation and green innovation and its impact on competitive advantage in pharmaceutical companies. A sample of 53 respondents consisting of the private sector and state-owned enterprises were selected in this study and then analyzed using a structural equation model (SEM-PLS). The results showed that the implementation of green strategy as a whole positively affects social innovation, green innovation, and competitive advantage. In addition, the role of mediation of social innovation and green innovation can strengthen the influence of green strategy on competitive advantage by increasing the company’s ability to innovate sustainably, as well as responding to increasingly environmentally conscious needs. Abstract

The development of information and communication technologies has shifted marketing strategies toward digital methods, one of which is Instagram marketing. Instagram marketing is believed to foster customer-based brand equity within the current coffee-to-go industry market conditions.  This study aims to address gaps in past research, particularly the inconsistent findings and the limited investigation of brand experience as a mediator linking Instagram marketing with customer-based brand equity in the coffee-to-go sector.A quantitative research method with an explanatory survey was employed. The sample consisted of 125 respondents who were consumers of the coffee-to-go industry and had viewed content or Instagram accounts of a coffee-to-go brand. The sampling techniques used were purposive and incidental sampling. All instruments were valid and reliable, and all data met the Classical Assumption Test requirements. Hypothesis testing was conducted using Process Macro by Andrew F. Hayes in SPSS v27. The findings of this study reveal that Instagram marketing positively impacts brand experience; brand experience, in turn, positively affects customer-based brand equity. Additionally, Instagram marketing shows a significant influence on customer-based brand equity, with brand experience serving as a partial mediator in this relationship.
