Abstract

This study aims to produce an effective Creative-Scientific Decision Making Skills (CSDMS) learning model that can be used in training students' creative thinking skills and decision-making skills. This study uses the One Group Pretest – Posttest design. Data were analyzed descriptively with pre-test and post-test data analysis using paired t-test in limited trials, and independent t-test in broad trials. It was concluded that the CSDMS model was declared valid both in terms of content validity and construct validity in order to improve students' creative thinking skills and decision-making skills. The results showed that the CSDMS model met the effective criteria in terms of the average n-gain of creative thinking skills in the high category and decision-making skills in the medium category, consistent with the average n-gain not significantly different in each university. It was concluded that the CSDMS model was found to be effective in improving students' creative thinking skills and decision-making skills.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the conceptions of elementary school science teachers on 40 science concepts that were found to have misconceptions in the field. Identification of the teacher's conception using the three tiers instrument that had been developed previously, then remediation was carried out using the P2OC2R learning model. Forty science concepts were then tested on eleven teachers. Initially the three tiers instrument was launched to the participants, then the test results were mapped in the form of a conception profile describing the distribution of respondents who understood the concept, did not understand the concept and misconceptions. The next stage, the teachers were carried out learning using P2OC2R learning with the stages of exploring the teacher's initial conception using probing questions, testing the teacher's initial conception through observation of concept examples, negotiating and confirming the conception and reflection for 40 concepts. Furthermore, respondents were tested again using three tiers instruments. The results showed that there had been a change in conception from not understanding the concept and misconceptions to understanding the concept reaching 75.5%. The implication of this research is the action to remediate misconceptions because this research has been able to find the reliability and effectiveness of P2OC2R.Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi konsepsi guru IPA SD pada 40 konsep IPA yang ditemukan miskonsepsi di lapangan. Identifikasi konsepsi guru menggunakan instrumen three tiers yang telah dikembangkan sebelumnya, kemudian dilakukan remediasi dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran P2OC2R. Empat puluh konsep IPA kemudian diujicobakan pada sebelas guru. Awalnya instrumen three tiers diluncurkan kepada peserta, kemudian hasil tes dipetakan dalam bentuk profil konsepsi yang menggambarkan sebaran responden yang paham konsep, tidak paham konsep dan miskonsepsi. Tahap selanjutnya guru melaksanakan pembelajaran menggunakan pembelajaran P2OC2R dengan tahapan menggali konsepsi awal guru menggunakan pertanyaan probing, menguji konsepsi awal guru melalui observasi contoh konsep, negosiasi dan konfirmasi konsepsi serta refleksi untuk 40 konsep. Selanjutnya responden diuji kembali dengan menggunakan instrumen three tiers. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa telah terjadi perubahan konsepsi dari tidak memahami konsep dan miskonsepsi menjadi memahami konsep mencapai 75,5%. Implikasi dari hasil penelitian ini adalah adanya kemudahan dalam melakukan remediasi miskonsepsi dengan adanya model remediasi yang disebut Model P2OC2R.

Abstract

Asesmen adalah proses mengumpulkan informasi, menganalisis informasi, sebagai dasar membuat keputusan. Keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (high order thinking skills= HOTS), adalah kegiatan mental yang terjadi pada saat seseorang dihadapkan pada masalah kompleks yang harus diselesaikan. Dengan demikian asesmen HOTS adalah tugas-tugas kompleks yang dihadapkan pada peserta didik, agar mereka menyelesaikannya menggunakan proses berpikirnya. Mengembangkan asesmen HOTS memerlukan keterampilan khusus yang harus dilatihkan. HOTS dan asesmennya dilatihkan melalui pembelajaran dengan arahan, di mana seseorang belajar melalui pengamatan terhadap perilaku model (modeling) dan pelatihan berjenjang.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to describe the validity of inquiry-based learning tools on students' scientific argumentation abilities. The validity of the developed device is viewed from the aspects of content, language, and presentation. This type of research is pre-experimental without a control group. Method: The method used is the 4D model (define, design, and development), which is modified and implemented in the Postgraduate Program in Science Education, State University of Surabaya. The data collection technique was carried out using the learning device validation method. The assessment instrument uses a device validation sheet. The tools developed include LIP, ST, SAS, and students' scientific argumentation ability tests. Three biology lecturers assessed the validity of this inquiry-based learning tool. Data analysis was conducted quantitatively, and the Aiken validity index and reliability were calculated. Results: The validation results obtained the validity index Aikens LIP 0.97, ST 0.93, SW 0.99, and scientific argumentation test 1.00 with high validity and reliability categories. Novelty: the researcher considers that not many previous studies have conducted research on the material of the Human Respiratory System, especially in class XI Science based on guided inquiry which includes five indicators of scientific argument, namely claims, ground used, warrants given, counterarguments generated and rebuttal offered. However, this research focuses on the validation analysis of inquiry-based learning tools on high school students' scientific argumentation abilities.

Abstract

Abstract: :Effectiveness of Online Learning Implementation in Elementary Schools According to Parents' Perceptions. This study aims to describe the perceptions of teachers and parents regarding the variety of online learning implementations in terms of what platforms are used and the effectiveness of online learning. The target of this study were parents from three elementary schools in the city of Surabaya, including SDN Rungkut Kidul I, SDN Rungkut Kidul II and SDI Wachid Hasyim. The method used by descriptive observational research was obtained by disseminating questionnaires. The results obtained in the study were during the implementation of online learning students using the Microsoft Teams and WhatsApp platforms. The effectiveness of online can be referred to the achievement of learning objectives that are in accordance with the basic competencies and grades obtained by students during online reaching above the minimum. The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is that online learning is fairly effective but pseudo, because the implementation of learning still has obstacles from the network, platform and conditions of each student. In addition, the learning outcomes obtained by students are not pure, aka there is help from parents or the internet. Keyword: Online Learning, Platforms, Parents. Abstrak: Keefektifan Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Daring di Sekolah Dasar Menurut Persepsi Orang Tua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi guru dan orang tua terkait ragam pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring dilihat dari platform apa saja yang digunakan dan keefektifan pembelajaran daring. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah orang tua dari tiga Sekolah Dasar di Kota Surabaya, antara lain SDN Rungkut Kidul I, SDN Rungkut Kidul II dan SDI Wachid Hasyim. Metode yang digunakan penelitian observasional deskriptif, diperoleh dengan melakukan penyebaran angket. Hasil yang didapatkan dalam penelitian adalah selama pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring siswa menggunakan platform Microsoft Teams dan WhatsApp. Keefefktifan daring dapat dirujuk pada tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran yang sesuai kompetensi dasar dan nilai yang didapat siswa selama daring mencapi diatas minimum. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari penelitin ini adalah pembelajaran daring terbilang efektif tapi semu, karena pelaksanaan pembelajaran masih terjadi kendala dari jaringan, platform maupun kondisi tiap siswa. Selain itu, hasil belajar yang didapat siswa tidak murni alias ada bantuan dari orang tua atau internet. Kata kunci : Pembelajaran daring, Platform, Orang Tua

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine "The level of student motivation through the application of monopoly game media in learning mathematics in elementary schools". This study uses a quantitative approach with the One-shot Case Study method. The subjects of this study were second grade students of SD Tanbhigul Ghofilin Surabaya. The results of the study, it can be concluded: (1) that the level of student learning motivation after the application of Monopoly game media in mathematics learning is relatively high as seen from the acquisition of a percentage of 100%. The level of student learning motivation after being grouped into four ARCS indicators is classified as high with an average acquisition of Attention 4.22, Relevance 4.19, Convidence 4.52, and Satisfaction 4.33. Keywords : Learning Motivation, Implementation of Learning, Monopoly Game Media Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui “Tingkat motivasi belajar siswa melalui penerapan media permainan monopoli pada pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar”. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode One-shot Case Study. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II SD Tanbhigul Ghofilin Surabaya. Hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan: (1) bahwa tingkat motivasi belajar siswa setelah diterapkannya media permainan Monopoli pada pembelajaran matematika tergolong tinggi terlihat dari perolehan presentase 100%. Adapun tingkat motivasi belajar siswa setelah dikelompokkan dalam empat indikator ARCS tergolong tinggi dengan perolehan rata-rata Attention 4,22, Relevance 4,19, Convidence 4,52, dan Satisfaction 4,33. Kata kunci: Motivasi Belajar, Keterlaksanaan Pembelajaran, Media Permainan Monopoli

Abstract

Character education is an effort to form the habit of doing good, so that in carrying out character education, polite character values are also needed. This study aims to determine the constraints and barriers to the school's role in shaping the polite character of SD Adinda Surabaya students. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method that aims to define and explain how the role of the school in shaping the character of student manners. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and questionnaires. From the results of the data obtained then analyzed, that the school's role in shaping the polite character of SD Adinda Surabaya students, the school as a facilitator by providing character values and understanding to students through habituation activities programs for students, as well as being a role model in polite character . There are supporting and inhibiting factors in shaping the polite character of students including: support for the participation of school members including principals, teachers, employees and students, lack of support from parents and family, daily student friendship groups that are not conducive

Abstract

Misconceptions are misunderstandings in connecting a concept with other concepts between existing concepts and conceptions that have been understood by the teacher so that the wrong concept is formed and the different conceptions are passed on to students. In order to avoid conceptual errors, it is very important to understand the profile of the conception that occurs in the teacher first. The purpose of this research is to describe elementary school teachers' conception of science on certain science concepts. This study describes the sources of teacher misconceptions that are the cause of teacher misconceptions. The research method used is quantitative descriptive. This research includes exploratory research. In this study using a quantitative approach. The research target was 24 people. The data collection technique is through the Three Tier Test and interviews. The data analysis technique uses the Three Tier Test decision making rubric with percentage calculations then distributed into the conception profile table. Based on the result of research that has been done shows that the teachers’ conception of Yapita Surabaya Elementary School students had misconceptions about certain science concepts by 12.04% of the 20 concept items answered while teachers who understood the concepts were only 5.41% and conceptions that did not understand by 2.54%. Sources of conceptual errors in teachers that are the cause of misconceptions are the teacher’s interaction experience from the surrounding environment, the initial conception does not master the concept, and the textbook media used is not relevant to the concept. Thus it can be concluded that there is a misconception in the teacher’s conception caused by a concept that is misunderstood so that it is not in accordance with the facts

Abstract

The conception profile is the distribution of students based on the conditions: Mastering the concept, Not mastering the concept, and experiencing misconceptions. While the profile of the science conception is a description of the students' conceptions of science learning in terms of science concepts. The purpose of this study was to determine the science conception profile of fifth grade students at SDN Penjaringan Sari II. Data collection techniques using observation, filling out tests and documentation. The data obtained was analyzed and then refined by grouping the degree of understanding of the concept and then calculating the percentage based on the decision making of the Three Tier Test. The results of this study indicate that the percentage of students in the category of not understanding the concept is higher than the category of understanding concepts and misconceptions. The low level of understanding of concepts possessed by students may be caused by 2 factors, namely students who do not understand the concept or students who experience misconceptions. The 5 factors that cause misconceptions in students according to Suparno (2013) include: Students, Teachers/Teachers, Textbooks, Context, Teaching methods

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah menerapkan media video pembelajaran, untuk   meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran daring Tema 5 Globalisasi Kelas VI.  . Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilakukan karena Rendahnya  hasil belajar siswa, selain itu untuk mengatahui pengaruh penggunaan penerapan Media Pembelajaran video pada pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan di kelas 6  . Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dilakukan melalui 2 siklus, serta menggunakan teknik tes dan NonTes. Subyek penelitian adalah Siswa kelas 6 SD Negeri 4 Sidoluhur yang berjumlah 13 anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya perubahan hasil belajar siswa, yakni rata-rata hasil belajar siswa meningkat dari rata-rata 70,4 menjadi 76, kemudian menjadi 88. Sedangkan ketuntasan belajar siswa dari 23 % meningkat menjadi 61 %, kemudian meningkat lagi menjadi 100 %.. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan Media Pembelajaran Video dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar Siswa Kelas 6 SD Negeri 4 Sidoluhur. The purpose of this study is to apply instructional video media, to improve student learning outcomes in online learning activities Theme 5 Globalization Class VI. . This Classroom Action Research was conducted because of the low student learning outcomes, in addition to knowing the effect of using video learning media on learning carried out in grade 6. Classroom Action Research (CAR) was carried out in 2 cycles, using test and non-test techniques. The research subjects were students in grade 6 SD Negeri 4 Sidoluhur, totaling 13 children. The results showed that there was a change in student learning outcomes, namely the average student learning outcomes increased from an average of 70.4 to 76, then to 88. While student learning completeness from 23% increased to 61%, then increased again to 100% .. The results of the study can be concluded that the application of Video Learning Media can improve the learning outcomes of Grade 6 Students SD Negeri 4 Sidoluhur.
