Abstract

This research aims to describe practicality and effectiveness of the integrated science learning through project-based learning in fasilitate academic and social Skill of class VIIF SMP Muhammadiyah 12 GKB Gresik. This research uses one group prettest-posttest design proceded by preparatory phase which aims to develop the material planning of the 4-D models of Thiagarajan and followed by  implementation phase in the classroom. The results showed:1) the practicality of teaching material categorized in feasibility of lesson plan and students give positive responses toward teaching materials and implementation of project based learning, 2) the teaching and learning use the teaching material development categorized effectively in terms of : (a) an assessment of the student's academic skills in organizing materials, skills to plan, implement and report on project task and psychomotor student in the laboratory showed very good (b) assessment of social skills of students in collaboration and communication showed very good and (c) increased knowledge learning outcomes of students with an average of 0.8 N-gain (high gain). Based on the result, it can be concluded that project based learning in teaching integrated natural science for Junior High Students is practicable and effectively to fasilitate students academic and social skill and gaining their knowledge. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kepraktisan dan keefektifan pembelajaran IPA terpadu melalui pembelajaran berbasis proyek dalam melatihkan keterampilan akademik dan sosial siswa kelas VIIF SMP Muhammadiyah 12 GKB Gresik. Penelitian ini menggunakan one group pretest -posttest  design yang di dahului dengan tahap persiapan yang bertujuan mengembangkan perangkat mengikuti rancangan 4-D model dari Thiagarajan dan dilanjutkan dengan tahap uji coba di kelas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: 1) perangkat pembelajaran berkategori praktis ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan rencana pembelajaran dan respon positif siswa terhadap pembelajaran berbasis proyek; 2) Pembelajaran menggunakan perangkat yang dikembangkan berkategori efektif, hal ini didasarkan pada: (a) penilaian keterampilan akademik siswa dalam mengorganisir materi, keterampilan merencanakan, melaksanakan dan melaporkan penugasan proyek, keterampilan unjuk kerja laboratorium menunjukkan sangat baik (b) penilaian keterampilan sosial siswa dalam bekerjasama dan berkomunikasi menunjukkan sangat baik (c) peningkatan hasil belajar pengetahuan siswa dengan rata-rata N-gain sebesar 0,8 (gain tinggi). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis proyek praktis dan efektif dalam melatihkan keterampilan akademik dan sosial siswa SMP serta meningkatkan hasil belajar pengetahuan pada mata pelajaran IPA Terpadu.

Abstract

Research has been done to develop the kind of integrated science teaching type webbed (Syllabus, Lesson Plans, Student Work Sheet, Student Book, Student Achievement Test) with guided inquiry model that aims to teach self directed learning and life skills junior high school students. Learning materials developed by four D model there are define, design, develop, and disseminate. Learning materials were validated by the experts to determine the validity of the materials and tested on 35 students of grade VII junior high school odd semester academic year 2015/2016 using the One Group Pre-test and Post Test Design. The data were analyzed by descriptive quantitative-qualitative. The results are: 1) The validity of the materials is very valid category (score 3.63); 2) Readability worksheet shows 100% the content interesting and easy to understand, 82.86% Student Work Sheet attractive appearance and legibility Student Book legible and suitable for use in junior high school students with an average number of sample sentences readings taken by researchers is 5.93 sentence in 100 words with the average number of syllables 145.2; 3) the successful is very good (average score of 3.71); 4) The students responded very positively (97.14%); 5) Students activities are student centered type; 6) increased student learning achievement (N-gain 0.74); 7) The self directed learning and improve students' life skills. The conclusions of this research are integrated science teaching materials types based guided inquiry type webbed developed is feasible to use in teaching self directed learning and ability of life skills junior high school students. Telah dilakukan penelitian pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe webbed (Silabus, RPP, LKS, Buku Siswa, Tes Hasil Belajar) dengan model inkuiri terbimbing yang bertujuan untuk melatih kemandirian belajar dan kecakapan hidup siswa SMP. Perangkat pembelajaran dikembangkan menggunakan model 4D (four D model) terdiri dari tahap pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop) dan penyebaran (disseminate). Perangkat pembelajaran divalidasi oleh para pakar untuk mengetahui validitas perangkat dan diujicoba pada 35 siswa kelas VII SMP semester gasal tahun ajaran 2015/2016 dengan rancangan One-Group Pre test and Post test Design. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif-kualitatif dengan hasil: 1) Validitas perangkat kategori sangat valid (skor 3.63); 2) Keterbacaan LKS menunjukkan 100% isi LKS menarik dan mudah dipahami, 82.86% penampilan LKS menarik dan keterbacaan Buku Siswa terbaca dan layak digunakan untuk siswa SMP dengan rata-rata jumlah kalimat sampel bacaan yang diambil peneliti adalah 5,93 kalimat dalam 100 kata dengan rata-rata jumlah suku kata 145,2; 3) Keterlaksanaan sangat baik (skor rata-rata 3.71); 4) siswa merespon sangat positif (97.14%); 5) Aktivitas siswa bersifat student center; 6) Hasil belajar siswa meningkat (N-gain 0.74); 7) Kemandirian belajar dan kecakapan hidup siswa meningkat. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah perangkat pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe webbed berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang dikembangkan sudah valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk melatihkan kemandirian belajar dan kemampuan kecakapan hidup siswa SMP.

Abstract

Research development of chemistry teaching materials inquiry model with scientific approach has been done by using 4-D model which aims to increase the student concept mastery and critical thinking skills on coloid topic at senior high school. The research subject of teaching materials which tested on student of science class 11th grade in senior high school 6 Surabaya with one-group pretest-posttest design, the results from the research show that the lesson implementation plan, the students book and students worksheet were feasible, then the validation instrument were valid.  Implementation of lesson plan was good, the activity of student in learning process has increased highly, students gave the positive response to learning process, as well as concept mastery and practicing critical thinking has been achieved. The conclusion of this research, show that the chemistry teaching materials of inquiry model with scientific approach is feasible and able to increase concept mastering and practicing critical thinking of students in Senior High School. Telah dilakukan penelitian pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran model inkuiri dengan pendekatan scientific yang menggunakan 4-D model dan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi koloid di SMA. Subyek penelitian perangkat pembelajaran yang diujicobakan pada siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 6 Surabaya dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest, sedangkan data hasil penelitian yang diperoleh sebagai berikut: validasi RPP, buku siswa dan LKS berkategori layak, tes penguasaan konsep dan tes berpikir kritis berkategori valid. Keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori baik. Aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan yang tinggi, Siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap proses pembelajaran, serta ketuntasan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan berpikir kritis telah tercapai. Simpulan penelitian ini, bahwa perangkat pembelajaran kimia model inkuiri dengan pendekatan scientific layak dan dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan melatih berpikir kritis siswa SMA.

Abstract

This research had aimed to develop a Natural Science Learning Material with PDEODE strategy to minimize misconceptions of Junior High School students on material structure and function  of plant tissue. The learning instrument is developed by using 4-D model with a try out-design namely one group pre-test - post-test design. The lesson plan has been tried out to 25 students of VIII-B class SMP Raden Rahmat Surabaya in the odd semester of  2016/2017 academic year. The data collection apply data validation, observation, achievement test, and questionnaire. The research data were analysed descriptively both qualitative and quantitative. The research findings were as follows: (1) The validity of the learning instrument which comprises Lesson Plan, Student Book, Student Worksheet, and a valid Identify Misconceptions Instrument; (2) The practicality of the learning instrument that can be found from: (a) the implementation of the lesson plans that is categorized as ˜good, (b) the students activities and (3) The effectiveness of the learning instrument that was reviewed through: (a) the decrease misconception student from pretest to postest;; and (b) the response of students . Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the Natural Science Learning Instrument based Predict-Discuss-Explain Observe-Discuss-Explain (PDEODE) strategy was feasible to minimize of misconceptions students Junior High School.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a Physics learning materials using Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model, which is valid, practical, and effective to Train creativity of student. This research is conducted through three phases from 4-D model, those are define, design, and develop. That instrument is tried out in XI grade Vocation High School of Senopati Sedati Sidoarjo academic year 2016/2017 with one group pretest-post test design. The learning instruments developed include: (a) syllabus, (b) Lesson Plan, (c) handout, (d) Work Sheet, (e) Assessment Sheet of creativity. Research variabels which can be measured are validity, practicality, and effectiveness of learning instrument. Data are collected using validity method, observation, test, questionnaires. Data are analyzed quantitatively descriptive and qualitatively. Research data shows that (a) developed learning instrument is categorized valid, (b) Learning process was going well, (c) training of student creativity produces increase on middle category, and (d) student gives positive feedback to learning had done. Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah (1) Melatihkan penyusunan LKS berbasis Kurikulum 2013 bagi guru-guru Yayasan Kemala Bhayangkari Surabaya dan (2) Pendampingan guru-guru Yayasan kemala Bhayangkari Surabaya selama pembuatan LKS berbasis Kurikulum 2013. Kegiatan PKM dikemas dalam bentuk workshop dan dilanjutkan kegiatan review LKS yang telah disusun oleh peserta workshop. Khalayak sasaran PKM adalah para guru Yayasan Kemala Bhayangkari Surabaya. Kegiatan dilaksanakan satu hari untuk workshop, 2 minggu untuk penyusunan LKS dan 1 minggu untuk review LKS. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PKM ini berupa angket respons peserta workshop, lembar telaah LKS serta sumber pustaka berupa contoh LKS berbasis saintifik. Kegiatan workshop dilaksanakan hari sabtu, tanggal 13 September 2014 Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 20 guru dari Yayasan kemala Bhayangkari Surabaya meliputi guru SD, SMP dan SMA. Kegiatan workshop berjalan dengan tertib dan menghasilkan produk berupa desain awal LKS yang akan disusun. Namun, untuk LKS yang disusun oleh tiap kelompok tidak tepat waktu dikirimkan ke tim PKM, hanya ada 7 LKS yang telah diterima tim PKM. Setelah ditelaah oleh tim PKM, naskah LKS yang disusun peserta sudah memenuhi kriteria kelayakan LKS yang cukup baik. Adpun rata-rata respons positif peserta terhadap pelaksanaan workshop Penyusunan LKS berbasis Kurikulum 2013 sebesar 96.67 %.

Abstract

Pembelajaran fisika sangat terkait dengan data. Literasi data membentuk kerangka pengetahuan melalui aktivitas identifikasi data, interpretasi data, pemaknaan data, dan mengomunikasikan makna dari data. Namun demikian, prinsip-prinsip mengajarkan literasi data dan penilaiannya belum terumuskan dengan jelas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji dan menunjukkan prinsip-prinsip pengajaran literasi data dan penilaiannya. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kajian pustaka dengan mengkaji artikel dari jurnal dan prosiding serta tesis terkait prinsip pembelajaran literasi data dan penilaiannya. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa prinsip pengajaran dalam literasi data adalah proses pembelajaran, media dan bahan ajar, dan kemampuan peserta didik. Sementara, penilaian literasi data perlu dikaji berdasarkan aspek pengenalan data, pengumpulan dan pencatatan data, analisis data dan interpretasi, mengomunikasikan data, dan penggunaan data. Berdasarkan aspek-aspek penilaian literasi data, kemampuan literasi data dibagi menjadi literasi data tingkat dasar, literasi data tingkat menengah, dan literasi data tingkat atas Physics learning is closely related to data. Data literacy forms the framework of scientific knowledge through data identification activities, data interpretation, the meaning of data, and communication of data meaning results. However, the principles of teaching data literacy and its assessment are still not clear enough. This research aims to reveal the principles of teaching data literacy and its assessment. This research is a literature review by reviewing articles from journals, proceedings, and theses related to the principles of data literacy learning and its assessment. The results suggest that the principles in teaching data literacy include three key aspects: learning process, media and learning materials, and student competence. Meanwhile, the assessment of data literacy needs to be reviewed from aspects of data recognition, data collection and recording, data analysis and interpretation, communication data, and data use. These aspects are divided into basic data literacy, intermediate data literacy, and upper data literacy.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan LKPD yang valid, dan praktis untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kiritis siswa SMA kelas X. LKPD yang dikembangkan menggunakan desain penelitian model 4D yaitu define, design, develop, dan dessiminate kecuali tahap dessiminate tidak dilakukan. Data validasi diperoleh melalui proses validasi oleh pakar pendidikan dan materi biologi, sedang kepraktisan ditentukan berdasarkan justifikasi praktisi (guru) melalui angket kepraktisan dengan persentase 76%-85%. Parameter dalam penelitian ini adalah validitas LKPD. Data validasi diolah dengan menentukan kategori validitas setiap butir aspek LKPD yang divalidasi berdasarkan rerata skor yang diberikan oleh validator. Analisis validitas LKPD diukur melalui hasil validasi 2 dosen yaitu ahli pendidikan dan ahli materi. Kesimpulan akhir tentang validitas LKPD ditentukan berdasarkan modus kategori dari semua aspek yang divalidasi. Begitu pula halnya dengan kepraktisan, ditentukan berdasarkan modus pendapat guru terhadap aktivitas di dalam LKPD dan keterbacaan LKPD berdasarkan Grafik Fry. Hasil yang diperoleh LKPD dinyatakan valid dan praktis berdasarkan justifikasi guru dan keterbacaan dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 85%. Kata Kunci: berpikir kritis, LKPD, tingkat organisasi kehidupan

Abstract

The objective of this reaserch was to produce physics learning materials with learning cycles (5E) model which focuced on the validity, practically, and effectiveness to facilitate student’s critical thinking ability in calor matter. The learning tools development using 4D (define, design, develop, and disseminate)  development model and have been tested on second semester students of physics education, The Science Teacher Training Institute of Mataram. This trial development of research using one group Pre-test Post-test Design. Data collection methods used were validation paper questionnaires, tests and observation, whereas data analysis techniques using qualitative and quantitative descriptive method. Based on the assessment the validator has a valid criteria, showing several findings, namely, 1) the devices at the implementation stage, devices are developed have  practical criteria, which are measured by the implementation of the criteria learning “well done” and the response of students are “strong” 2) the effective developed  to train critical thinking ability, where there is an increase in students, critical thinking ability from the initial test on 62 to 90 in the final test. The result of the study generally show that physics learning devices use a valid, practical, and effective, and 5E learning cycle model to train students critical thingking ability.

Abstract

This study aims to produce biotechnopreneurship-based science learning materials that are valid, practical, and effectiveto facilitate junior high school students’ life skills. This research is development research using a 4D development model that produces Biotechnopreneurship-based science learning materials equipped with the syllabus, lesson plan, student worksheets, life skills tests. Learning materials were tested on 35 junior high school students with the one-group pretest-posttest design. Data analysis is descriptive qualitative with the results: (a) validation of learning materials with valid categories (score 3-4); (b) readability of learning materials with good categories (c) implementation of learning in good categories (score 3.7); (d) student responses were positive; (e) students’life skills generally increase (N-gain 0.71 with high category). The indicator of Life Skills that experiences the most significant increase between pre test and post test is the aspect of making a decision. Indicators of information gathering are indicators that have a low increase after learning. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the biotechnopreneurship-based science learning materials are valid, practical, and effective to facilitate junior high school students’ life skills.
