Increased awareness of food safety issues has resulted in non-tariff measure in the form of sanitary and phytosanitary, technical barrier to trade applied to various importing countries. The policy is widely applied by various countries on agricultural commodities, especially Cocoa. Cocoa is Indonesia's flagship commodity exported to many countries. The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation and impact of non tariff measure on Indonesian cocoa exports. The model used in this research is to estimate the result of inventory approach in gravity model. The results show that Sanitary and Phytosanitary policy has an effect on decreasing export value of Indonesian Cocoa while Technical Barrier to Trade has no significant effect. SPS policy is mostly applied to Cocoa Beans while TBT is more applied to processed cocoa. So, Indonesia needs to improve the processing of cocoa beans such as cacao shells, cacao paste, cacao butter, cacao powder, chocolate and other preparations. The government needs to provide socialization to Indonesian cocoa agribusiness entrepreneurs in the implementation of sanitary and phytosanitary policy. Government programs or policies are designed according to the characteristics of SPS and TBT.

COVID-19 has had a significant impact on food supply chains at both domestic and global levels. At the same time, Indonesia's food security index experienced a significant decline. This study presents an exploratory approach-based research review aiming at identifying problems occurring along food supply chain post COVID-19 pandemic, and at examining possible policies, studies and research needed to improve food security. In addition to relevant previous studies, the authors analysed data from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and Bank of Indonesia (BI). A number of problems and issues pertinent to Indonesia’s food supply chain that may adversely affect food security are identified and a post COVID-19 “exit strategy” to strengthen food supply chain is explored.

Many coffee producers in Indonesia carry on organic certification to warrant their production and processing standards. One of them is Nunggal Roso Farmers Group Association (Gapoktan) which performs state-financed organic certification on their robusta coffee products. This research aims to describe farm activities and organic certification applications on Gapoktan Nunggal Roso and analyze its income and profit in 2020. As many as 60 randomly selected respondents consist of 30 organic coffee farmers and 30 non-organic coffee farmers. The organic certification impacts were analyzed using income and profit analysis and then tested for their differences statistically. These research results signify that coffee farms in the research location which has been undertaken in polyculture with shading trees and intercropping plants do not change considerably by the presence of certification. Besides, also known from the research that the return to family labor in each working person-day of organic coffee farmers is lower than that of non-organic coffee farmers.

Most coffee farmers in North Sumatra still need to implement an integrated coffee and goat cultivation system. Only 0.2% of farmers have implemented the program. An integrated farming system cannot be implemented due to limited resources, and optimal conditions for an integrated farming system for coffee plants and goat livestock in North Sumatra have yet to be found. Therefore, this study aims to determine the optimal conditions for an integrated farming system for coffee plants and goat livestock to maximize farmers' income. The sample size is six farming units spread across three districts: Simalungun, North Tapanuli, and Karo districts in North Sumatra Province. Quantitative analysis using a linear programming model was carried out computationally with the help of LINDO 6.1 software. The study results show that the revenue for the optimal solution from the integration model generates IDR 169,358,700.00, 1.04% higher than the actual income. This was due to an increase in coffee bean productivity to 1.68 tons.ha-1 per year with a simple shading coffee pattern, namely coffee planting with a cover crop of 300 trees per ha, as well as an increase in the number of goats kept. , from the actual condition of 59.33 goats to 117 goats. Farmers are advised to utilize all products between coffee and goat farms as their respective production inputs and not sell intermediate products.

The use of certified seeds can increase productivity and technical efficiency of garlic farming. This study aimed to examine the effect of using certified seeds on the technical efficiency and productivity of garlic farming. This study uses secondary data in the form of cross-sections from the Horticultural Plant Household Survey (SHR, 2014) conducted by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The number of samples used is the same as the number of SHR 2014 samples. These data were analyzed using stochastic production frontier sample correction (SC-SPF) combined with propensity score matching (PSM) to eliminate observed and unobserved biases. The average treatment effect on the treated (ATET) used to directly calculate the effect of using certified seeds on productivity and technical efficiency. The average productivity of farmers using certified seeds was higher than that of farmers who did not use certified seeds. Meanwhile, the average technical efficiency (ET) of farmers who use certified seeds is lower than that of farmers who do not use certified seeds. This shows that the use of certified seeds has no effect on the technical efficiency of garlic farming. There are two alternative policies that can be taken, the first is advising farmers not to use certified seeds or the second alternative is improving the mechanism for distributing garlic seed assistance and developing the garlic seed industry.

In the globalization era, ICT has important role in firms ability to export their products. Theobjective of this research is to analyze the impact of ICT on the ability of Indonesian firm to exporttheir product. Two ICT methods are analyzed, email and website. The data utilized is thesecondary data from the Enterprise Survey conducted by the World Bank in 2015 with 1317 firmsdata. Two analysis is conducted, using chi-square analysis and logit equation. The result indicatesthat 32 percent of firms using email to contact their clients exported their product meanwhile only 5 percent of firms which do not use email exported their products. In additon, 36 percent of firms with website exported their products meanwhile only 7 percent of firms without website exported their products. Using chi-square analysis, it shows that there is a relationship between ICT and where the firms sold their products, whether in domestic or international market. The logit equation indicates that firm ownership, email and website affects the firm ability to export. Therefore, firms must be pushed towards digitalization in order to compete in the export market.
