Abstract

In Indonesia, there have been numerous cases of people escaping from prison including the Muara Labuh Prison. This research analyze the prison conditions, the cases that occurred there, the motives behind the escape, the responsibility of the warden, and how Islamic law views escape. Data were collected through observation of prison conditions and interviews. Data analysis was performed in several stages, including data reduction, display, and verification techniques, then, narrated using a qualitative approach and Islamic law. The results revealed three cases of inmates escaping from this prison. They have a variety of reasons for this, including an inability to restrain sexual desires, being unable to serve very long sentences, depression, and poor prison security, which is the warden's responsibility. Prison escape is not justified in Islamic law due to the necessity to obey state rules that are not specifically regulated in the Qur'an and Sunnah.

Abstract

Theft is a universal crime and severely punished by the perpetrators in every community. Islamic law explains that the theft is one of the hudud categories with the severest punishment for cutting hand. Meanwhile, in Indonesia, a thief is sentenced to imprisonment, and the severest punishment is a death penalty, as described in articles 362-367 of the Criminal Code (KUHP). In the Batang Kumu area, Riau Province, the theft cases were not resolved by the law but were resolved customarily by reconciling the two parties and involved police institutions. The field research used in-depth interviews with thieves, victims of the theft, religious elders, and community representatives. Data collected through document studies. The results showed that there were a quite number of theft cases occurred in the Batang Kumu area. The theft was carried out by residents around Batang Kumu, so the village head issued an appeal containing warnings and common threats for theft. The theft cases resolved peacefully. Religious and customary elders have become mediators or peacekeepers between victims and the thief (s). Some people of the community witnessed the reconciliations. The model of reconciliation justified as a sulhu concept.  Theft is part of hudud, and forgiven is possible as long as it has not reached the police office yet. Uniquely, one of the customary punishments which sentence of imprisonment at least one week in police custody in the name of a police loan to the traditional elders.

Abstract

Qanun is a series of choices that guide human life in acting and must be obeyed even though they feel pressure from experts. Currently, the challenged Qanun is considered a formalization of Islamic regulations, especially sharia regulations, which are considered restrictive and generally relevant by public authorities. The presence of Qanun in recent times is a consequence of the many regulations that have developed, especially due to the influence of European regulations in general. This research uses qualitative research methods with library research techniques. This research aims to analyze the history of taqnīn, procedures for forming qanuns, the coercive power of qanuns, and the position of qanuns in Islamic law. The research results show that currently qanun are seen as part of Islamic guidelines, especially sharia guidelines prepared by open experts that are both restrictive and generally relevant. The presentation of Qanun in this modern era, from one point of view, is seen as the progress of Islam in developing its Shari'a and implementing the guidelines contained therein. According to a limited view, the use of the term qanun in Islam can mean unclear guidelines or guidelines created by humans, where the resulting guidelines are the result of the ijtihad of a person or group of scientists on a problem. According to the general view, Qanun is a series of choices that guide human life in acting and must be obeyed regardless of pressure from public officials.

Covid-19, which has had an impact on the education system, has forced teachers to apply distance learning both offline and online. Entering the new normal era, learning can be done face to face. Therefore, the application of a learning model that combines distance and face-to-face learning can be done proportionally. It is important to understand how student learning motivation is affected by changes in learning from non-face-to-face learning to blended learning. This research was conducted in class V SDN Inpres Silae, Palu City, Central Sulawesi. Using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design, with a focus on data collection on three things, namely observation, interviews and document study. Data analysis was carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusion. The results showed that increasing student motivation in social studies subjects in Class V SDN Inpres Silae, namely evaluators, class managers, mediators and facilitators, and demonstrators. Increasing student motivation in social studies subjects with the help of a blended learning model in class V SD Inpres Silae includes persistence in learning, tenacity in facing difficulties, keen interest and attention in learning, achievement in learning and independence in learning. These findings have been implied to be important in designing learning strategies that are appropriate to the new normal context. Teachers and educational institutions need to pay attention to developing bold and interesting learning experiences, increasing social interaction in face-to-face learning, and providing continuous support to maintain students' learning motivation. In addition, it is also necessary to pay attention to the flexibility of space and time in learning so that students can take full advantage of their potential.

Abstract

Salted eggs are one of the most popular egg processing products in South Kalimantan. The purpose of making salted eggs is to remove the fishy taste and increase the shelf life of eggs. UKM Salted Egg 'Gold' Martapura is one of the salted egg producers in the region. Even though UKM 'Gold' Martapura Salted Egg already has a P-IRT permit, the permit has expired. Some of the problems faced by these SMEs include high ash prices, volatility in the base price of eggs, the lack of quality assurance for salted egg production, and product marketing management that is not yet optimal. The proposed solution is to increase sales profits by reducing production costs and improving the quality of the final product. In addition, it is necessary to increase insight into product innovation and the use of promotional media such as attractive label designs and unique marketing strategies. The results of implementing this solution show an increase in salted egg production, a decrease in production costs by utilizing palm ash which is available free of charge throughout the season, an increase in the overall quality and nutritional content of the product, and an increase in selling value through the renewal of salted egg packaging. Thus, it can be concluded that this program is very helpful for the development of the 'Golden' Salted Egg UKM business in the business they have run
