Abstract

This research aims to systematically analyze the literature related to disaster management practices in the education sector in Indonesia. Indonesia is one of the countries with a very high level of disaster vulnerability, so disaster education is one of the essential strategies for disaster risk reduction efforts. The method used was a systematic literature review with a qualitative approach, referring to the PRISMA and PICOC methods, by reviewing eight relevant scientific articles published between 2010-2024. The results showed that integrating disaster education into the curriculum, particularly the Merdeka Curriculum, has allowed schools to develop contextualized learning according to local conditions. Sound practices are found at various levels, ranging from early childhood education with a game-based approach to high school with the role of adolescents as agents of change. However, implementation still faces challenges, 1such as limited supporting facilities, teaching modules, and teacher training. Cross-sectoral synergy is needed so that disaster education can run optimally and sustainably. This research recommends that disaster education be positioned as a significant component in developing disaster-resilient education, not just complementing the curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically review the literature on community participation in flood and landslide disaster mitigation efforts in Sumedang Regency between 2019 and 2025. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, six scientific articles were analyzed to explore the forms, effectiveness, and challenges of community involvement in disaster risk reduction. The findings reveal that community participation predominantly occurs during the implementation phase, while participation in decision-making, evaluation, and utilization of outcomes remains limited. Contributing factors include limited disaster literacy, inadequate infrastructure, and insufficient institutional support. Although national regulations such as Law No. 24 of 2007 and Government Regulation No. 21 of 2008 emphasize community engagement in disaster management, practical application at the local level still encounters significant challenges. Strengthening institutional capacity, increasing disaster education, and promoting inclusive collaboration across sectors are essential to fostering meaningful and sustainable community participation

Abstract

Abstract

Background: Job satisfaction among physical education (PE) teachers is a critical factor influencing instructional quality, work motivation, and long-term professional commitment. However, there is currently no comprehensive and standardized instrument specifically designed to measure the job satisfaction of PE teachers within the Indonesian context. Research Objective: This study aimed to develop and evaluate the psychometric properties of the Indonesian Physical Education Teacher Job Satisfaction Scale (IPET-JSS), an adapted and contextually modified version of Spector’s Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS), tailored specifically for PE teachers in Indonesia. Method: A cross-sectional quantitative survey design was employed. A total of 300 PE teachers from primary, junior secondary, and senior/vocational high schools—both public and private—in Bengkulu City participated. The IPET-JSS comprises 36 items across nine dimensions (pay, promotion, supervision, fringe benefits, contingent rewards, operating procedures, coworkers, nature of work, and communication), rated on a 6-point Likert scale. Construct validity was assessed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and reliability was examined via Cronbach’s alpha and composite reliability (CR). Finding/Results: All items showed factor loadings above 0.50. The Cronbach’s alpha for each dimension ranged from 0.75 to 0.86, and CR values exceeded 0.70, indicating strong internal consistency. Coworkers and Nature of Work were the highest-rated dimensions, while Pay and Operating Procedures received the lowest scores. The CFA results supported a good model fit (CFI > 0.90; RMSEA < 0.08), affirming the structural validity of the IPET-JSS. Conclusion: The IPET-JSS is a psychometrically sound instrument for assessing job satisfaction among Indonesian PE teachers. It holds promise for use in both research and practice, particularly in teacher evaluation, educational policy development, and professional development planning. Future studies are recommended to explore its cross-contextual validity and associations with other psychosocial constructs.

Abstract

Background: Teacher Encouragement during Deep Learning (TEDL) based on literature has a positive impact, but it is not yet clear how it affects attention and volleyball technique among students. Objectives: Therefore, the current study aims to analyze the effects of TEDL on improving attention and volleyball techniques among students in physical education (PE) classes. Methods: An experimental method with a pretest-posttest design was adopted in this study. Forty participants were involved, representing students from several high schools in Sukabumi (Indonesia). They were recruited using inclusion criteria and randomly assigned to the TEDL group (n = 20) and the control group (CG) (n = 20). Assessment of attention and basic volleyball techniques was measured at the pretest and posttest stages. Finding/Results: The results of our study show that there are significant main effects of teaching (p < 0.05), time (p < 0.05) and interaction (p < 0.05) on attention and volleyball techniques. Conclusion: We firmly conclude that TEDL can be an alternative teaching model to replace traditional learning in improving attention and volleyball techniques among students. Future research is expected to design TEDL programs for other teaching materials such as basketball, soccer, futsal, swimming, hockey, or badminton.

Abstract

This research aims to empirically analyze the differences in organizational commitment in terms of affective, sustainable, and normative dimensions in the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) of the three generations. This case study was conducted at the Deputy for Apparatus Administration, Ministry of State Secretariat, a strategic work unit that provides technical and administrative support and analysis to the President and Vice President. This study used a comparative quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design and survey method using Meyer and Allen's Three Component Model (TCM) instrument. A sample of 129 respondents was selected through a non-proportionate stratified random sampling technique to ensure adequate representation of each generation. Given that the research data were not normally distributed, hypothesis analysis was carried out using the Kruskal-Wallis non-parametric test. The results of descriptive analysis show that all three dimensions of organizational commitment are in the high category, with affective commitment recording the highest score. However, the results of statistical tests showed that there were no statistically significant differences (p>0.05) in the three dimensions of organizational commitment -affective, continuance, and normative- among Generation X, Y, and Z ASNs. The main conclusion of this study is that in the context of the research locus, the generational factor is not a significant differentiating variable for the level of organizational commitment. The strong influence of organizational culture, job stability, and the strategic nature of tasks within the Ministry of State Secretariat proved to be more dominant in shaping commitments that tend to be homogeneous across generations.

Abstract

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in 3kg packaging is reserved actually for poor and SMEs, yet the gas is also utilized by well-off people and business owners. This occurs because of the absence of computerized surveillance systems of the gas distribution by the agent and outlet. This study aimed to develop a web-based system of 3kg Liquefied Petroleum Gas information distribution in PT.P(Persero) Gorontalo; a prototype model was used to develop the system. This research resulted in a system that provides access rights for administrators to be able to input required data, such as customer data, outlet data, outlet distribution data, and customer distribution data. The systems also help the process of 3kg Liquefied Petroleum Gas distribution and PT.P(Persero) Gorontalo in terms of the supervision process.
