Abstract

This research is based on a lack of understanding during the learning process on mastering concepts and not using media that attracts students' attention in learning. This research has the goal of producing interactive powerpoint learning media for grade IV mathematics subjects in the independent curriculum of SDN 15 Koto Besar that is valid, practical and effective.The type of research used is R&D (Research and Development), or development research, with the ADDIE development model, (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). It has several stages of development, the first is analysis, including analysis of needs and characteristics of students. Second, the design of interactive powerpoint preparation. The third development was carried out interactive powerpoint validation tests. The fourth implementation is carried out by practicality test and finally evaluation in the feasibility test of interactive powerpoint products.This development research obtained the results of the validation test by 7 expert validators with an average score of 85.7% of the very valid category, the practicality test was carried out by the class IV guardian with an average score of 91.6% of the very practical category. The results of the trial were seen from the student response questionnaire obtaining an average score of 88.6%. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that interactive powerpoints in mathematics subjects in the independent curriculum of grade IV SDN 15 Koto Besar, Valid, and Practical.

Abstract

This study investigates the semantic evolution of Generation Alpha's slang as reflected in the lyrics of Jelly House's YouTube song Last Rizzday Night. As a digital-native generation, Gen Alpha frequently reshapes language through their engagement with digital media. Analysing 15 slang terms, including "Rizz," "Skibidi," and "Sigma," the research examines how their meanings align with or diverge from standard dictionary definitions. Using a qualitative descriptive methodology, the study highlights linguistic shifts driven by digital culture, such as "Rizz" symbolizing charm and social success, and "Sigma" representing self-reliant confidence. The findings emphasize the role of contextual semantics in understanding generational language trends, offering insights for educators, content creators, and marketers aiming to connect with Gen Alpha effectively.

Abstract

The use of metals in the industrial world is increasing, so their existence is becoming increasingly rare. This encourages people to think creatively in looking for alternative materials that are easier to obtain and available in abundance, one of which is material made from composite thatch stalks. Composite is a material consisting of two or more materials with different properties combined. This research aims to analyze the effect of thatch stalk lengths of 50, 60, and 70 mm and volume fractions of 35%, 40%, and 45% after soaking the thatch stalks in 4% NaOH solution for 2 hours on tensile tests as an alternative material for making car dashboards. The research results showed that the highest average tensile strength and elastic modulus respectively, namely 26.43 MPa and 9250 MPa, were obtained at a stem length of 60 mm with a volume fraction of 35%. This is caused by the good bond between the resin and the thatch stalks in this variation. This research shows that based on the tensile strength and modulus of elasticity of car dashboards, this research meets the standards.

Abstract

The background of the problems that arise in this study is that in class learning, student motivation and creativity still do not appear well during learning activities. As an effort to overcome these problems, the Mind Mapping model was chosen to be applied in classroom learning. The purpose of the research that has been done is to improve the learning process in class and develop students' creativity and motivation in learning activities in class II SD Negeri 11 Sitiung. The target of the research that was carried out was class II students at SDN 11 Sitiung with a total of 18 students. The research method applied is classroom action research (CAR). The research was conducted for 1 cycle. The research was carried out face-to-face with students in class. The method used is planning research, conducting research, observing and reflecting on research results. Through student activity observation sheets and mind mapping assessments, the results of student creativity and motivation were obtained in good criteria. There is an increase in students' creativity and motivation in learning. The results of research by applying the Mind Mapping learning model have an impact on increasing the level of motivation and creativity of students in learning. There were 15 students (83.33%) already motivated in learning activities. Then there were 12 creative students (66.67%) It was proven that the motivation and creativity of students in Class II of SDN 11 Sitiung showed a good impact and Mind Mapping could develop students' motivation and creativity in following and understanding subject matter.

Abstract

Background: Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya pemahaman keagamaan yang kurang moderat dan sikap yang tertutup serta eksklusif dari anggota komunitas Persatuan Islam Tionghoa (PITI) Kota Jambi. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran komunitas Persatuan Islam Tionghoa (PITI) Kota Jambi tentang moderasi beragama dan mencegah sikap intoleransi serta eksklusif Metode: Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif melalui diskusi dan pembinaan yang melibatkan anggota komunitas dalam setiap kegiatan serta evaluasi dalam melihat perubahan sikap dan pemahaman anggota komunitas Persatuan Islam Tionghoa (PITI) Kota Jambi tentang moderasi beragama. Hasil: Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman anggota komunitas Persatuan Islam Tionghoa (PITI) mengenai moderasi beragama dengan sikap lebih terbuka, toleran, dan berkomitmen untuk menerapkan nilai moderasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kesimpulan: pengabdian ini berhasil mencapai tujuannya dalam meningkatkan moderasi beragama di Komunitas Persatuan Islam Tionghoa (PITI) Kota Jambi dan diperlukannya upaya berkelanjutan untuk memperluas jangkauan program ke komunitas lain agar terwujudnya lingkungan umat beragama yang moderat.

Abstract

Variations in ship propulsion are needed to assist in the water transportation purposes that will be used. Waterjet becomes one of the efforts for variations of the ship propulsion system on the waterjet occurs because the action of the thrust force that occurs causes the ship to move at a certain speed and the reaction of the fluid. The use of 3D Printing is starting to be developed and researched whether it is feasible to use in water transportation. 3D Printing technology or known as Additive layer manufacturing and the famous technology is Fused Deposition Modeling this technique is used to print products using filaments as material, the printed product has ideal geometry if it has a precise size and perfect shape. The testing process carried out at the Bangka Belitung state manufacturing polytechnic obtained the highest thrust results 30˚ angle with the number of blades 5 has the highest value with a thrust of 206 N and the lowest 45˚ 5 blade with 135 N thrust, the difference in angle affects the thrust generated.

Abstract

The iteration method without calculating higher derivatives is one of the numerical methods which is included in the group of open methods. This iteration method is derived based on the third truncated Thiele’s continuous fraction. To avoid calculating higher derivatives, an approximation of the second and third derivatives is used in determining the roots. This research aims to determine the roots of non-linear equations using the iteration method without calculating higher derivatives. This type of research is basic research. Based on the discussion results, it was found that the iteration method without calculating higher derivatives uses two-step in determining the root. The convergence analysis shows that the iteration method without calculating higher derivatives has a convergence order of four. The algorithm of the iteration method without calculating higher derivatives is shown in the form of a flowchart.Keywords: Non-linear equation, Thiele’s continued fraction, Viscovatov algorithm, iterative method, order of convergence

Abstract

Patchouli is used as one of the mixtures of cosmetic products, food industry, paint making, aromatherapy, and various other industrial needs and is needed by various types of industries in various countries. Due to the high world demand for patchouli, a prediction is made to anticipate uncertainty so that an estimate is obtained that is close to the actual situation. The method that can be used is the Singh logic fuzzy time series method. This research is an applied research, where the data taken is the data on the value of patchouli exports in Indonesia in the period January 2020 to July 2024. The results of forecasting the value of patchouli export data in Indonesia with this method are then measured for accuracy using MAPE. From the Singh logic fuzzy time series forecasting method, the MAPE obtained was 7,215%. Based on the MAPE, forecasting export value in Indonesia with Singh's fuzzy time series logic has a very good level of accuracy. For the following period, the export value of patchouli is projected to be US$ 29,638,657.15 for August 2024, US$ 28.212.795,11 for September 2024, and US$ 28.277.533,23 for October 2024. The Predicted value is categorized qith a very high export value of patchouli.

Abstract

Persamaan Polinomial kuartik adalah persamaan polinomial yang memiliki pangkat tertinggi yaitu empat. Salah satu permasalahan persamaan polinomial kuartik adalah mencari solusi akar dari persamaan polinomial kuartik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membentuk formula dan menyusun langkah-langkah dari Perluasan Metode Cardano. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa bentuk formula Perluasan Metode Cardano memiliki rumus kuadrat yang menghasilkan empat nilai kemudian disubstitusikan ke rumus akar sehingga menghasilkan empat akar persamaan polinomial kuartik yaitu yang memiliki akar rill dan kembar pada diskriminan sama dengan nol, akar rill dan berlainan pada diskriminan besar dari nol, serta akar kompleks pada diskriminan kecil dari nol. Selanjutnya diperoleh langkah-langkah dari Perluasan Metode Cardano yaitu tentukan nilai k,l,m,n, tentukan nilai p,q,r,z,D, dalam z besar dari nol dan kecil sama dengan empat berdasarkan persamaan kubik resolven, dan masukkan nilai z dalam formula Perluasan Metode Cardano yang didapat.

Abstract

To find the roots of non-linear equations, numerical methods such as Newton-Raphson and Secant are often used when analytical approaches are difficult to apply. However, these methods are relatively slow due to their low convergence order. Iterative methods with higher convergence orders can speed up the process, but they often involve more complicated derivatives. To overcome this, a high derivative-free iterative method was developed using the predictor and corrector approach. This research aims to develop the method, analyze its convergence order, and develop its algorithm. This research is a theoreticalresearch by reviewing the theories related to the problem at hand. The results show that the new method has a convergence order of six, is faster than the Newton-Raphson and Secant methods in solving non-linear equations, and only involves the first derivative.
